  • Games?

We all generally came together here for Blizzard games // what have you been up to or playing lately?
I've been primarily playing Switch, just grabbed the latest DK.

Just came back to WoW after a few years away, that seems to be fun again.
Played GTA5 on PS4 for a while, still do occasionally. That game really is awesome. There is something amusing about driving around a city simulator with an armored car and an array of automatic weapons.
Played Doom through a few times on PS4 as well, enjoyed that one as well. Looking forward to the expansion, there is a gameplay trailer coming in August.
You know I don't really get the excitement for the coming gameplay trailer, I expect it will look much like the first one. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, oh hello, BOOM.
Looking forward to Spiderman on PS4 as well, I think that is coming in September.

The only thing I’ve played lately has been SC2; I’m not much of a gamer for the last few years.

I actually got really involved in a kickstarter/early access cycle for Overload -- if you ever played Descent it's made by a lot of the original developers! It launched just a few weeks ago, which was pretty exciting. I helped work (inasmuch one can help work on these things as a backer/consumer) on testing/balancing some of its gameplay systems. Currently a mod for their discord, helped write the forthcoming official strategy guide. Built a tiny following on Twitch/YT -- was actually about to start a stream for the former when Protogod hit me up about this place.

Outside of that it's the usual grind -- got hopelessly addicted to Diablo III for about four months back in 2016, then quit cold turkey about two weeks after I found cosmic wings (totally by accident, I might add). Rainbow Six was awesome but got frustrated. Fun to throw back a few cold ones and play PUBG with the boys, but we're really sick of it. Picked up SC:Remastered for a few weeks last summer. Wild going back -- it aged really well and really poorly in a lot of ways.

Really should be doing things pertinent to grad school, but...I have better things to do! :-P

I'm all over the place with games, these days. With the No Man's Sky NEXT update, I have fallen in love with that game all over again, and I absolutely love the Permadeath mode, though it's stupid at times. I have a switch, PS4, Xbone, Vita, 3DS, PC, and I want to start spending more time reviewing and making content for my channel.

My interest wanders. My favourite lately has probably been Stellaris, but I've also been playing Nuclear Throne for that twitch-shooter fun (and more recently, Teleglitch).

I keep wanting to make more custom map stuff for Starcraft, but its hard to get back into the swing of it.

I also got a super early demo of Wild Mage, which is a great game and I helped interview the dev and he is incredibly excited for this game and it's so bloody good even with what he has in it; it just got kickstarted successfully a month or two ago and he's basically making the game by himself.

I love the concept and I'm super excited to see what he does with it in the future; there's no real release date as of yet, but it's coming to every major platform - stretch goals are amazing - and even the barebones build I played felt really polished

Borderlands 2 and Terraria have been my go-to games of late. Yeah, I know, I'm stuck in the past. Some MTG Arena, other steam games. A couple Fortnite-esque games. I really need to play me some SCII. Also, I played magic in person for about a year, which is why Arena interests me, and now some friends have gotten me into Yugioh, so I'm trying my hand at that. I mostly play games that I have enjoyed in the past and have replay/continuing play value, or whatever games my friends are into.

Pretty much all of my gaming is tabletop these days - RPGs, card games, board games, what have you, interspersed with the occasional marathon sessions of Starcraft 2 co-op or Diablo 3 with some friends, or whatever else other friends offer.

I do switch off of video games after a few months, sorta following whatever my friends are playing or tickles my fancy. Gonna be playing a lot of Spider-Man soon, I think.

My daughters are right into their table top games, especially d&d.
Couple of good DM's emerging in their group I am told.

Been playing an assortment of shitty anime mobile games, along with Monster Hunter World (PC), Everspace and Hollow Knight. I still float in and out of playing random shit when it strikes my fancy, mostly singleplayer stuff. I'll probably get a Switch when smash comes out, I've been wanting to play Smash, Zelda, and some other switch stuff.
I built a decent gaming PC last summer so now all my gaming is either PC, Mobile, or with books and dice.

I've played thousands of hours of Heroes of the Storm! Always play Sgt Hammer, I guess I just have to pick a StarCraft hero don't I?

I also happen to be making a game... http://acolytefight.io - I'm trying to make a really quick multiplayer game that you can just send a link to a few friends and play for a few minutes while waiting for something else. Still got lots to work on it though. Feel free to try it out if you want, I would say this is still a pre-release version but everything works.

Anyone playing Red Dead Redemption 2? Been playing it on PS4 for a couple of weeks now.
Violent as hell and somehow the violence is more shocking than games that have come before it. You get use to it, not sure if I like that or not.
The stories within the game are excellent, I won't spoil any here.
The traveling in the game can get a little monotonous, feels like you spend an awful lot of time riding around and to be honest the whole bathing and shaving thing gets old pretty fast.
All in all it is a pretty good game, I would highly recommend it.
