Here's a new unit that's going into SC:R
It's a building for Terran that is basically a energy battery.
Unlimited range, low cost for cast.
What do you guys think??

Are you kidding me? You could just build six of those and plant a cloaked unit near somebody's resources and take out their whole economy from across the map!

However, since I don't know what "SC:R" is I can't really judge it.

It should be in SC2 Theories. This unit would be rigged unless it either is extremely weak or costs a lot (unlimited Yamato Gun anybody?).

Much like the shield batteries for 'Toss, hmm? But with the convienence of pin pointing some repeated Nukes without the risk of losing cloak for that Ghost. Isn't that great?!? :P *Cough*Major game unbalance*Cough*

but then the point of sc would all be screwed. everyone would just go bc rush, u wouldnt see any other unit usage...which also means no more strategy, that'd suck

It's going to recharge different amounts of energy for each unit. No unit will be fully recharged, plus this is a late game unit, and is going to be expensive as hell.

Alas, it would work in similar manner. Have a few of those (units) around n' it would recharge any unit's energy, therefore renderin' the SC strategy thinking sorta uselless. :lame:
(And alas, much like what I hear from WC3 nowadays.)

I wouldn't. It seemed like a balance thing. We could reduce the restore, and increase the cost more. Would that work better?

How about a little less than 20, though. Major cost though...MAJOR. And a killer build time.

If that unit existed every single folk that plays the game would turn to Terrans and we don't want that do we (as in Terran galore fest)? And my 'hidden point' all along. :P

Yikes, then we'd be having cruiser/battery rushes (terran), battery/battery rushes (offensive shield battery + energy battery = invincible toss units), and queen/battery rushes (unlimited spawn broodling = dead mineral line against non-toss).

Talk about the inbalance...

Gee, lem'me see how to put it simple. Don't even give any more ideas... pleeeaase. Any modder crazy enough and with the spare time on it's hands can try to make those (wich I beg everyone not to). ;)
Keeping it short (read simple) it's prob'ly one of the best concepts that SC has and eventually one of it's best trumpcards to 'successfully survived' through all these years.

Btw, why is this still in the Tactical Chamber room? :o

I know what we'll do. We can make it so it uses built charges, similar to a nuclear silo, and those take a lot of time and resources to build, and require 5 supply each. The building itself requires no supply. :P

EDIT: Never mind. Very bad idea.
