A new game

I've been thinking of starting a new game. But there are quite a few games currently active.
What is peoples opinion on starting one up sometime soon? Becauase I don't want to start one if no one will join.

I would save it until a one or two games is completed (or die's out) because as you said there are a fair amount and we don't want to overkill the WB Diplo community with an overload of games.

I think you have a good point but anyway I would join if some one makes a map.

How about you do a simple Sail Ho or Hundred Variant? They're easy and only require four players for Sail Ho and three for Hundred. Plus it would allow some more players to get some more play time. Plus these small variants are pretty fun, easy and quick! Give one a shot.

I'll pass to give some of our newer members a shot to play.

Ok then I'll start a new game a bit later, probably when 'Hunderd' finishes, It'll be the Ancient Med Varrient, becasue I havn't seen that one here.

I'M NOT STARTING IT YET BUT, some people might want to see the map so I'll just post it here. (And because Britishkid asked too see the map firstly)

Good choice, it's a nice map, but simple. :)

(Except for the four corner sea area, I remember that being very annoying when trying to finish off Carthage and Egypt on an off-site game...)

That really reminds me of a Starcraft custom map (Rise of Rome, sometimes named Diplomacy) that I really liked. You should expand it northwards to include the Celts, Ruskies, and Vikings, because right now I'd feel really sorry for whoever got Greece, what with having twice as many neighbors as anyone else.

Twice as many neighbors to exploit. The center position can be an advantage to be had if it can be exploited. You can attack one enemy and build up at home to fight another. There's less distance to travel and you can easily defend your home from one side or even two if you've expanded slightly. Fun times to be had there!

Also, Arcani-Ragner, check your PMs. I don't think that should be happening, you should be able to move into that sea space. So it's either that the map is screwed up or you just made a mistake. Try again. :)
