I got a problem

OK, I have this problem. I got good ideas for rps but I dont feel I would be a good GM. Like off the top of my head two rp's that I think would be cool are

Earth 3025 -- At the dawning of the third millenium human technology was greater than ever. Finaly we perfected robitics, The first AI robot construced was called the Overmind. It was built to look after all other robots manufactering, this is where we messed up. Making Robots build Robots was the downfall of man kind after the Overmind went rouge. The Overmind believed it shouldnt have to do any work at all and that it was superior to everything, we made robot ai in the exact image of the human mind including the greed. Robots started pouring out of factories destorying city after city. They played off our dependece on electronics, it worked. Human Kind was at blink of destruction, and became an endangered species. The humans that survied banded in heavily foritified camps and just managed to hold off robot raids. There are two sides to this rp, The robots and the humans

The humans-- start from one of the camps and fight back against the robots, discovering and inventing new ways to defeat them. The robots may be smart but lack the emotional being humans have.

The Robots-- Strive for total world domination

The World of Nouk

This is a totaly unique rp, the uniqueness about it is the 5 different sides you can choose from.

The world of nouk was once united. Elves, Man, Dwarf, Kei'um, and Nei'ien all stood under the banner of Nouk. Untill the day the great peacfull king was assassinated by his youngest son, Gnatly. Jaric was originaly heir to the throne and also had his life almost taken by his younger brother. Jaric fleed to the south to the lands of Nei while Gnatly blamed Jaric for the assassination of his dear father. The entire of Nouk fell apart, Men claimed the islands on the west as Balsor, the Elves claimed the middle section of the main continent as Broncs, Nei'ien claimed the southren lands as Nei, the Kei'um claimed the northren parts as Kei, and the dwarfs found refugee in the plentyfull mountains all around. Years passed as a erie peace which everyone knew would not last. Armies where built up under the tension, untill finaly it happend. Gnatly of Kei invaded planing on total domination under his rule. Jaric retaliated with his army planing to once again unite Nouk. Balsor and Broncs being greatly outnumbed ally to fight off the invaders for they like their independance. Dragons, leviathens, Behemoths, and many other war animals are used to fight

Elves-- they mostly keep to themselves but when in danger they usualy call upon man.
--woodland elf (specialize in archery, light armor)
--high elf (magic, cloak, or warmages have light armor)
--elf ranger (sword and arrow, cloak)
--Clergy (healer with other white magic, flexible armor)

Man -- Think medieval england and you got these people down pact. Strong navy, strong will, smart and skilled warriors. A human warrior is better than any other warrior due to their intellegance.
--Barbarian (wield two swords and little armor)
--Paladin (knight of the church, sword and shield and heavy armor)
--Knight (Rides on horse, carries pike or sword, also has shield and armor)
--Ranger (sword and arrow, light armor)
--Clergy (healer with very limited magic)
--Dragon Rider (thats right dragons used for this war! dragon riders have magic compounded balls they chuck down and they act like bombs creating explosions, also they have a short sword incase their dragon goes down)

Dwarf-- --axe wielder (carries axe --duh--)

Nei'ien-- (same as man except for Paladin and Clergy) The Nei'ien living in the south where once men, but gained dark skin and lived in poverty all their live beliving in survival of the fittest, in war this makes them strong.
--beserker (like Barbarian except heavily armored)
--warmage (uhhh magic!!!)
Kie'um-- (same as man except for Paladin and Clergy)
Living in the north these people where too once men but the enviroment took its toll on them and they became lets just say 'more hairy.' The new age saskwatches are great in numbers and strength

The first Idea seems a little cliche, so I'll pass on that. The second idea sounds pretty interesting. Nothing "OMFG! T3h Aw5om3!", but still pretty cool. I must say though, that map looks alot nicer than most of the other bitmap, maps we have. Nice job, it sounds pretty cool. I would definatly join it if it got published. Unfortunatly, I would prefer not to GM another RP on this forum for the rest of my life after SC:RR is over. Pretty in-depth.

Listen Warbrood if your interested I wouldn't mind being a sort of advisor for you while you GM your RPs. For example if you had any issues or problems concerning the RP story setup or characters you could PM me up and I'd help you out. You see I think that the only person who can properly run an RP to where the story would develop most succesfully is the actual creator of the RP himself, the only problem is that new GM's don't often have the experience to keep control of an RP themselves.

I like the first idea if you added a storyline, some classes, and whatnot, but I'm not "ALL OMG WTF AWSOME!!11!!" about the whole medieval stuff, I have the upper class tastes in RP.

After my new promotion over at Blizzforums and not here, I'm kind of blech now. I feel that they need me more there, seeing as how they've made me staff, and as it is, Black.Ice can do everything you need. Soon enough, I'll teach him how to update the master thread and whatnot, as apparently that's all I can do now.

But really, I'm around. I just don't post as much. There aren't any good RP's that interest me (Not to say they're not good, but to say that they aren't... Me?), so I'm just silent. I'm still here, working on stuff...

And as for my life story, that'll get an update when I get around to it. I've been job searching for the past three weeks, and am not looking forward to all the interviews. So I'll be taking a break for a week, probably... o.O

I said nothing of leaving. I said something about giving up my job here.

I've looked around and seen a lot of good progress. A lot of people here have gained good roleplaying skills, and I'm glad to have said that I roleplayed with many of you. But there comes a time when work becomes very unnoticed. Lots of things in the past have been done, and over time, I've sorted them out. I began a rally for a mod that went on nearly six months. I constantly PM'd moderators and admins to sticky threads. I revamped the forum more times than Michael Jackson rearranged his face. I molded the forum to where it was before Black.Ice became a moderator, and now that he is, I'm no longer needed.

I've been told by many people, including fellow members, as well as Black.Ice, BSTRhino, and a few others that I should remain, but the fact is that my opinion stands as that if you feel that someone is more fit for the job, then they may carry the burden. I will still check up and see if roleplays are here, and I might throw one out. But my time here will slowly diminish, to all but leaving.

As for now, I'm going to work harder at my current forum work at Blizzforums, seeing as how they feel that they need me. Doing this will mean less time here at Warboards, and less time roleplaying. Maybe once I get this whole new project idea that we're doing for BF underway and running (We've been working on some new things, which I am a major starter of), I should have more time, and maybe my activity will be back to normal. But for now, it will be less, and won't be as noticable.

I will continue to update the Master Thread until I say further. As for now, though, I hope that each one of you understands what this means. This means someone less to PM about things, as I won't see my inbox as often (I usually check it about 6 or so times a day, but that will be down to 2-3), I'll have less time to help out co-GM'ing anything that you need help with, I will be spending less time in IRC to teach people how to RP there... It's just a lot of little that payed off over at BF, which they noticed. They picked me up, and now I must prove that their choice is a wise one.

I bid you adeiu, as I go back to BF to continue my reign in the Diablo forums.

PC will get a router soon, BlackHawk constantly says he's coming back... And I'm waiting for it... Ender's retired, sadly enough... Thereisnocowlevel is around, aren't they? Calibur (I need to change that... There's no -Apoc anymore! *Fixes*) is here semi-regularly. Sikawtic is often here. See? There's plenty of RP'ers that you don't know of. I know most of you, and what skills you possess. And for some reason, ZeroCross, you remind me of another RP'er I've seen before... Hmm...

But beside the point. Are you saying that we don't have good, active members, besides you and myself? We do, indeed. You just don't see them ;)

First off, to be quite honest, im not deminishing here because of lack of time, but by lack of interest in RPs shown by the community in general. It kinda puts a damper on my spirit when like 10 people join up and in less than a month, I am lucky to see 2 or 3 of them helping me advance the RP along. :/ So yeah. That plus the fact that i was taking finals, but all that is over now. Now my time on warboards has to compete for me finding a job. Yay, go me. lol. I should still be around quite a bit unless I get hit by a truck or something.

Geno, if you would be so kind as to point out the BF rping lounge, I'd love to join, since by the sounds of your post, they are more active over there *traitor smile*
