I have seen the clasic "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" movie many years ago when I was in grade school. Though the new version looks interesting.

I've read EVERY book. Though I read them over a stretch of like 5 years :D . The movie MIGHT be good.

Oh yeah and like demon I watched that movie to. That old one was OK [even though I watched when I was like 7 before I had read the books]

Yeah the old movie of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was really good. The books are great. If you're into philosophy you should read some of C.S. Lewis' non-fiction. He's a brilliant writer.

dude I love the chronicals of Narnia series, but I have a question, If the Magicians Nephew is the first book of the series then why do people always say, The Lion, The witch, and The wardrobe is the first one?

That's the truth! He's got some pretty heavy christian messages/imagery in his writings...

I saw the trailer and it looks pretty good. I've never read any of the books, but I think I may read one of them now that a movie's coming out (or a more mainstream one since DC said there were others I believe?).

If you're interested in the movie you should watch the Chronicles of Narnia WETA Featurette (http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/thechroniclesofnarnia-fte1.html) which show's you how WETA is designing some of the creatures in the movie, and it gives you a sneak peek at some of the creatures in the movie.

I saw the trailer in the theatre and it was awesome! They turned it into an epic war movie. Go producers!

You should read them! And... they are a REAL easy read. :D
I think they should be required reading in schools... at least the lion witch/wardrobe should be. Awesome intro to fantasy novels! (along with the hobbit...) granted... i read them a LONG time ago...

My teacher read it to us slowly in 3rd grade. One day i was like, "SCREW THIS!" and I read the rest of the book in an hour.

For those of you that don't know there are 7 books in the series.

magician's nephew chronicles the beginning of the "land of narnia" and through some "magic" the lil kid enters and finds his way into narnia. Thats how it all begins, and the other books go further into it. It is an amazing parallel to the story of Jesus. Sin comes into the world, Jesus comes, and eventually the world is destroyed so that the real world can come. Its extremely interesting.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is the most famous, it is a parallel of the true believers of God and the crucifixion of Jesus.

The parallels in the book are really amazing, and its intriguing to discover them as you read through it. That and the amazingly well written nature of the chronicles of Narnia make it an amazing piece of literature. Makes me keep coming back =b
