How come it says I'm not allowed to post attachments? Am I the only one who can't?

The attachments are restricted by forum and type. What kind of file were you trying to attach, and in which forum?

I can't figure out why that wouldn't be allowed, but what the heck. I don't need to anymore (the reason I wanted to can be found in my sig request at Southern Legacy) though. Is something wrong with my comp, or are we not allowed to attach in the Creative Concepts?

BTW, I can link to images just fine, but it won't even let me bring up the attachment window. In the rules box it says I'm not allowed.

PS. None of my smilies are showing up either.

EDIT: My smilies do show up in the posts, but there no list of 'em where you can just click one and it appears. I have to write "colon-parethese" or "semicolon-parentese" or whatever to get them.

Uhh, the attachments probably aren't working because the option to attach them hasn't been implemented yet. And...there is no attachment button, so I don't know what you're talking about? If this is about TSL, then it would probably be best to ask about it in there help forum.

And the smilies, well I have a thing to hit them, don't know why it isn't showing up for you.

Depends on what editor you're using. If you're using the advanced editor then you'll have a dropdown menu for smilies. Other wise there's a palette to select the smilies from.

If you're referring to the Quick Reply and not the actual reply page, btw.. there are no clickable smilies shown in the Quick Reply box.

I know about the quick reply. In the "go advanced" editor, the enormous box on the right, which usually contains smilies, is blank.

Ok, go into tyour UCP and click on edit options. Oned you have done that, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page where is says Miscellaneous Options and then select between the Basic, Standard and Enhanced options. After you changed the setting (standard for me) you hould be see a small list of smilies to the right of the postbit when you are posting a reply (go advanced) in a thread.

I believe that should shed some light for you. :)

Er... attachments are enabled. Except it's only for map files in the StarCraft and WarCraft forums.

Attachments are partially enabled. You may post attachments with SC or WC map file extensions at the moment.. and we plan to add general images, etc in the near future.. however they'll be restricted to particular forums.

Until (if) admins enable more attachments, just upload your images to a free hosting site like yoxio and link to them.

Be sure to allow it for the Online Roleplaying Forum as well. I wanted to attach a map I made but I can't so keep that in mind!
