I recently got a new computer, and I want to continue trying my hand at asm coding for Starcraft. Unfortunately for me, it runs XP, and I have read many times that stargraft doesn't work on it.
Regardless, will using XP's compatibility features (the one that makes the program think it is running on an older OS) allow it to work then? I haven't read anything relating to this.
If that won't work, how do I install Windows ME without having to choose which OS to run every time I turn on my computer? E.g. forcing me to boot with a floppy before I can choose to run ME? I've never installed two OSes on the same computer so I don't know if this can be done.
My computer is currently running Windows XP Professional with SP2 and I have admin rights on it.
Since it is new, I don't want to do anything that is likely to harm it, but I will take some risks.
