Notes: All characters start out with no magic. It’s a side effect of the dragon(s?) showing up. Also, I need some characters to “volunteer to be turn coats on the party, booby trap the goings on, I.E. You will be working for the bad guys keeping tabs on them, warning your superiors, etc. If so, you will still post you character sheet in the new area, you will just PM me with the background as to why you are and etc. I’l sends you the name of your contacts and other details…. Some of you might even be watching the others to make sure they do the deeds correctly.

The land has been quiet for years. peoples of all kinds lived in harmony. Even the drow had made peace with the elves and put their past between them. It was utopian Bliss...

HA!! like that ever lasts long.

Your fears that something would go wrong were realized today when the daily prophet spoke of a terible problem sweeping the land. It seems we have dragons. That mythical creature that was wiped out hundreds of years ago has returned. But how? and why? these are the questions that need answered.

You are standing at the street corner looking at a sign that reads

Remembering what was taught to you in school about the great Dragon rebelions many Hundreds of years ago brings a shudder to your very soul. Many Elves still rmember that time as it was yesterday. At first one lone dragon was born out of the mighty mountain Oraklin, located in the southern provice of Yang. within two years time they came. Dragons by the hundreds. It took many years to finally wipe them all out, but in the end we won. Peace and harmony took over the land. Yes, wars were fought in the time since then, but never in that scale, or that claimed that many lives. So many young died during that age. Prosperity gripped the land. and beside the lone temples dedicated to it, magic was all but forgoten. Two different Patheons exist now, The ones that remember and train in magic, waiting for it to return to the land. And the technomagus, Those who believe in the powers of the glorious machines that have been around longer than even the elves remember. Although steam powered many people disdain their uses and the priests that follow them, but still give them their rites none the less.

I have merged the three threads into one. RP's should be kept into one thread, unless you have explicit approval from the admins or one of the RP Moderators.

The reason for this is to keep the forum a little clean and cluttered. When you're not involved in an RP, it's easier to skim over one thread than three.

Alrighty then, as if I was'nt confused the hell out of enough, you got two threads with the same title. Oh crapknives....

Magic inclined: No, she thinks magic is a waste of time, and a stupid dream.
History and Bio: She has short/medium red hair, of which most of the longer strands are kept in beads, a slightly slimmer than average figure, is about 5' 3" in hieght, and only a slight breast size, which is often the target of her brother's antagonizement.

Her parents died when she was 16, leaving her, and her brother Daniel -who was 8 1/2 years younger than her- with nothing. However, it appeared that her father was killed over some sort of deed to an old house somewhere nere the coast. So she and her younger bother moved in search of this place, to find an abandoned large house. It was at least 100 years old, and still had the furniture and such still inside, all dust covered with a few cobwebs here and there, however, it was the only place they could call home.

Fortune was with them both, as the extensive library in the house contained books of both magic, and even of inventions. The two were lucky enough to survive the first few shaky months, until they found a vault in the bastment. Though it looked like it had been ransacked a few centuries ago, it still had a few scattered gold coins and such leading a small trail out to the sea.

By this time, Zen had taken it up upon herself to watch after her younger brother, who was always fanticising about magic and lore. Although Zen tries to convince him it's a stupid effort, a least she's glad he is reading so much.

Equipment: Enough to kill a herd of bears. All joking aside though, she rarely ever leaves without carrying at least a couple handfulls of tools with her.

Starting off, her armor is some standard clothing, with a few utility belts strapped around on her waist, and shoulders, made mostly of leather. She wears boots about halfway up her shins, and leather bracers. She wears a converted soldeir's battle helm, which has magnification goggle lenses that can fold down from the visor, and the helmet itself can fold up around the center, leaving only the circlet-like band, connected by two metal folds up to the center.

Her normal tools she carries around, are a couple screwdrivers, wrenchs, pliars, and a couple other handheld tools, a geographical compass, an arcitectural compass, and a steel hammer-mallet, which doubles as being combat effective.

She is currently working on a chained throwing star, that is a normal disc at the end of a short rod with a reel. When the device is 'cast', the disc on the chain flies forward, unleashing several blades on the disc in a spinning fashion, with a very high-power. It is a deadly buzz-saw-like device, that can be controlled with great precision by Zenril only, and only when she is wearing the controller gauntlet designed for it. Unfortunatly, it is being worked on, and won't be ready for a while.

History and Bio: Tyro enlisted in the armed forces during the Second Sucession War. During this war, Tyro was placed in the 3rd Support Division and quickly rose to the rank of captain and commanded a unit of forty troops with twelve support machines. As the Second Sucession War came to a close, Tyro retired at an age of 38 and carried out a career of scientific research in devices of demoliton. Now, two years later, with the re-emergance of the dragons, Tyro steered away from demoliton towards tools of dragon slaying.

Equipment: Something useful at all times. More spicifically something used to kill at least a single dragon. This can range from a simple lance to a high-accuracy ballista capable of firing eight foot broadhead lances over two kilometers at high speeds.

Typically though, heavier siege weapons are difficult to carry around all the time so it is rare that Tyro will have such a device with him. However, he does carry tools and the essential parts to make such machines if it is for short distance use (i.e. building one then going in and out of a fortified area to hunt dragons).

In terms of armor of the sort, Tyro has a cotton vest with a wool sweater over that then heavy padding over that then chainmail as a curaiss. Tyro wears long cotton pants and light steel greaves. For the purpose of wood and metal working, Tyro has heavy leather gloves. Tyro does have a light steel helm, but rarely uses it since it impedes vision to an extent. Also has a greyish cotton, sleeveless cloak.

History and Bio: (now I am guessing this is like a medival fantasy type RP? So that is what I am basing my bio and equipment on. If it is not that kind of RP tell me and I will edit it.) (I’m not very good at these, so it won’t be very detailed.) Dray was born to a human male and an elf female. For 18 he lived happily with his father and mother his father trained him in hand to hand combat, swordsmanship, archery, hunting, and many, many things. One day when he was 18 years old, he decided to go out traveling around. So he gathered a few belongings said goodbye to his parents and set out on his own. He has been traveling ever since. He found out early on that one needs to know how to protect one’s self, so he paid a blacksmith to make him some armor and stuff (see Equipment.) He travels around just trying to learn as much as he can and then move on. (is this okay? I will maybe add to it until the rp starts.)
Equipment: He has steel gauntlets with spikes on the top and on the knuckles (imagine brass knuckle with spikes on them and that’s what the spikes on the gauntlet kind of look like.) The gauntlets also have 1 inch steel claws sharpened to a very fine point, and they are retractable. He also wears a light steel breastplate and backplate under his tunic. It can’t block any projectiles very well, like arrows and such, but it causes opponents fists to hurt bad when they hit the breastplate. He has light steel shin-knee guards worn under his pants. also they are like the breast plate and are only really good for blocking physical attacks. He has a green tunic and light brown pants and dark leather boots with steel on the sole, sides and the toe. (picture Link from Zelda without the weird hat.)

and halflings are not half elfs. half elfs fall under the elves part, just lets go with them not being immortals. they gain their human parts life expectancy, halflings are generally shortter than a dwarf.

the characters are good so far. and one of you has voluntered to be the turncoat already, thats good..... we need another character to start. someone from another race. maybe a high and mighty elf.

Today, several Elven Villages in the southern continent were burned to the ground. Witnesses reported seeing many Human men helping the Dragon destroy them while the men were away on expedition. "If i get my hands on the Humans who did this, I will ring their necks. We elves will not forget this. mark my words!!!" said one of the senior Elves that had returned. Dead number in the thousands and no sign was left of the attackers to know were they might have come from.

Daily Prophet

....More adventurers are sought to clean up the dragon scourge. We have reports that a group of adventurers consisting of 7 elves and a halfling were all dropped of at the capitol city to the south of Andor. they were released about 50 feet up by the dragon as he flew over head and if it didn't kill them, the fall did. Reports now place the dragon at 35 meters in length with a wing span of 50 meters long. He is Redish brown in color.
Other news, the Northern provinces rainfall has dropped by 50 percent. Sources are baffled as to the cause but one local placed the blame squarely on the dragon.

He turns to each of you in kind gesturing for each of you to stand and introduce yourselves.
