~&~"Bloody Roses"~&~

A person forges his own destiny or at least that's what they say. Is it that easy to forge feelings and emotions from a pliable piece of metal?
But how can someone forge something so mysterious like destiny? Sometimes a man's life is like a picture drawn by a blind, left-handed and poor man, but sometimes it's as heavenly as if it was made by the god of art.
But not only humans have a destiny, which they can forge, all kinds of creatures which lurk on our world have one - from angels to demons...
The paths of many of these creatures often collide into one another, like the river's feeders - each of them unique and one of a kind, but when they flow into the river they flow into something larger and they follow it's curves.

One of these flows was the demon called Ray.
A creature with no past and no future. A tormented soul, that only lived for the moment, until it flew into the river called life and took her own way, a path called destiny.
Ray didn't know her past, so for a long time she didn't see any point in the future until one faithful day...

- That's it! I Quit Lucinda! I'm not going to let a crazy old demon from the third dimension command me, he can't even make a dog and a cat fight, let alone command the third circle of Hell! - yelled a beautiful creature with sparkling green eyes and dark hairs. She looked more like those creatures, that most of us call humans, but you could see something sly in this demon's smile.

- Come on Ray, sure he might have lost his experience, but once he was pretty good at doing chaos. - defended the boss a similar creature with wild red hairs and blue eyes. Unlike Ray, Lucinda was aiming for a promotion.

- Tell me Lu, why do we have to do this for a living? Why do we have to make people fight one another? Why not become friends with them? - asked Ray.

Lucinda looked at her terrified.
- You've gone nuts! If someone heard you...
- Let them hear me. I'm not afraid, let them know that I don't like the rules that have been given here! - now yelled Ray.

- Shut up!- yelled Lucinda - You're talking about leaving rules that have been followed for millennia. - the demon looked disgusted at Ray, as if she was not like her, as if an angel was standing in front of her. - You're talking about friendship with humans, those terrible creatures that fight amongst each other, that kill their most loved ones so they can get some fame and fortune. You just utterly disgust me. We’ve been ruling them, changing their lives and destiny, we Ray are their masters and they are low animals.

Well you could argue with one thing – Lucinda was right. People in some ways were more evil than demons. They killed one another, on the other hand a demon wouldn’t do such a thing, unless he had no other options, but then again if it did happen the ones that are to blame lived with their gilt for eternity.

But even Lucinda was wrong. Demons really had more powers than humans, and yes they could reak chaos, but sometimes they couldn’t command people, because simply enough they didn’t forge the destiny fo those who they called slaves.

- Lucinda, we need people. Our world is constructed on their emotions, so why not get in contact with them? – asked Ray now a bit calmer.

- Look they are lower than us and I would never even think of getting to know then – continued Lucinda with her attempts to stop Ray from leaving.

- I’ve already made a choice. I’m not going to stay here and nothing you say will make me change my mind. –said the demon positively.
- Please Ray, just take a second and think about it – Lucinda clicked her fingers and a full size mirror appeared in front of them – Will you deprive the Hellish Kingdom of you presence, you’re one of the most capable demons here, you’re also beautiful and you can have any job you want – started to tease her Lu, but Ray was stubborn and as she normally did in these kinds of situation she wouldn’t let anyone change her mind. Not for her purple hairs, not for her green eyes, not for her talents in reeking chaos.

- I quit! – said Ray and headed towards the confounds of the master of the third circle of Hell.
Lucinda could only deeply sigh as she was left alone in the fiery waste.
- I want to told with his hellish majesty – said Ray to a nervous devil standing infront of the lair.
- Of course miss, and your name? – looks like the tone of the demon wasn’t liked by the secretary.
- Ray. – introduced herself – Demon eight level, officer of the third circle, head soul destroyer and general in the army of chaos – added the demon.
In the years she had spent in the third circle the demon had managed to get pretty high up,
- So you’re a Chavrodemon*, right? – the devil couldn’t believed as she closely looked at Ray.
- That’s right – she said not caring – So when will I be allowed to enter??
- Please follow me – the woman barely touched the golden two winged door and in a second it was wide open. – His Hellish majesty is awaiting Chavrodemon Ray. – the women backed of and soon she left closing the door.

Ray was in a wide oval room, in the center there was a beautiful bureau made out of black ebony, a few chairs with chains in front of it, and behind it…
- Dreadful day, isn’t it? – asked His Hellish Majesty and with his comfortable leather arm-chair he turned around facing the demon.
- You could say that – replied Ray – I want to give my resignation and leave Hell – said the demon at one breath, she knew that is she didn’t say it now, she probably wouldn’t have the courage to say it later.
The Demon in the chair started laughing, revealing the golden teeth in his mouth.
- You’re kidding, right Ray?
- Absolutely not, does his Hellish Majesty see me laughing? – asked the demon.
- Come on Ray, you’re one of the best, you command those fools, the people, like little ants. You’re a Chavrodemon, who would want to give up that place and just leave Hell? To be transferred to a different isle or circle yes, but to leave Hell – never.
- I have the right to do it – said Ray calmer than ever.
- But why? – asked the Demon, no more giggling, grasping how serious Ray was. Even in Hell good officers were hard to find.
- Because that’s what I want – said Ray stupidly. Even she didn’t know why she wanted that, but she knew that she had to do it, even if she didn’t know the purpose.
The past – that was what she wanted to find out if she was to continue into the future.
Her biggest desire was to find out who she was and what her role in this life really was, she just didn’t feel that being a Chavrodemon was her life’s purpose.
- All right, your will. – said the Demon as he gently waved his hand.
Ray nodded her head and started walking towards the door
- Take it as a vacation- said the demon before Ray left the room.
- I won’t be coming back- said Ray as she continued, not even glimpsing the demon.
A moment later she wasn’t in hell, she was in the center of a forest on a small meadow.
Ray took a deep breath, closed her eyes and a second later opened them. It was real. She had left Hell forever… now she was a part of the river. And if the shores of this flow called Ray were once rocky and didn’t let anyone come close to the water, to taste it or take some of the fish that was in it, now that river wasn’t so wild, on the contrary it was vulnerable, the fish was easy to catch, the water was shallow and innocent. The Present was the starting point that was going to lead Ray to her past, and from there to her future.

*Chavrodemon – the highest level you can attend at Hell, like the Archangels in Heaven.

Faint had always wandered who and what his parents were like, but he would never find out. He always hated his brother, because he treated him like some freak. When he abandoned him, Faint could survive in only two ways. From spring to fall he would stay in a forest near the local river, he would catch fish and enjoy the weather. From late fall to the end of the winter he normally entered the nearby human cities in the form of a cat and would stay with his current adopters. This second way was disturbing, he felt locked up, but he had no other choice if he wanted to survive. For his luck now it’s early spring and he had plenty of freedom. He had feed a long time ago and now he was cunningly and quietly was jumping from tree to tree and sometimes he would observe the local lumberjacks. They never enter the forest, they worked in it’s outskirt, because they were afraid of the demon. Actually Faint was that demon, once a group of people had tried to take his food and he had scared them away.
- I’ll never understand people, but they probably won’t understand me. I guess that’s the way the world was build. But honestly said who cares. – the boy had developed the strange habit of talking to himself, generally because there was no one else to talk to, except for the cats that is. Oh, I must have forgotten to tell you, he can communicate with cats.

As Faint was silently sleeping he heard a strange sound from up close. He took out his dagger, he put a rope through the hole he had made in it’s wooden handle and he tied the knot good, after which he started spinning the dagger in circles. It was a technique which he had learned a long time ago. He had more power than normal people so he could spin it very fast and hit anything he could see. When he was spinning the dagger horizontally he could kill a man in a radius of 2-3 meters. He once again heard the sound coming from a bush. He carefully drew closed to the bush and in that moment a rabbit jumped out of the bush and ran away frightened.

- Dumb animals. They can really scare you sometimes. That’s why they get caught and I don’t. – after which Faint climbed a tree and dozed off.
A few hours passed and the sun had set. Faint was awakened by the unbearable heat. He looked around, the whole forest was blazing in fire.
- I knew they’d do it some day. Dumb farmers. – after which Faint took the few things he had, placed them in a piece of leather which he put over his shoulder and started running towards the lake.

- Well, if I’m going to have to run I better look for a better place. There’s a forest down the river where there are no people and plenty of food.

Faint jumped over the lake and continued towards the ancient forest…

There were many legends on this world- about demons, vampires, ferries, but people liked the ones about Angels best. They gave them hope, they were something like symbols of light, which came down from the sky. Many people asked themselves when they had fallen into Despair’s grasp why one of these beautiful creatures didn’t come to help them. At that moment another tradition was born – Angels could only be seen by a few people who were Chosen. Just when the could went to sleep, they would fly off of their sky lodges and went abroad upon this world, flying on their magical wings. With beautiful faces, long whitening hair, angels never died. They disappeared and appeared from the sun, shining in soft light. An angel fell from the sky every time a human died on Earth.

“ Once, a long time ago the Cursed Angels were just the same. They were the fabulous amongst them all, but the most proud. They often flew down from the sky and took over a human’s heart. People could not control their emotions, as angels did and they momentarily fell in love with their beautiful faces. When the Angel left, humans would suffer and they often fell into the pit called Despair, their life had ended. But that didn’t stopped the Accursed ones, they kept leaving their sky lodges more and more often, until almost all of humanity was lost in it’s unshared love. Love, even if it is often times underestimated can leave terrible wounds. Sometimes it was like a poison, spreading through your veins turning blood into ice. That was the kind of love that the Cursed Angels brought. The Master of the Sky and everything else, saw the injustice of his divine creatures and decided to punish them for their acts. He cursed them to be banned for the sky forever. He took their wings away and banned them back to Earth. Their blood had been cursed a longed time ago, because no one had the right to play with emotions. The only thing they kept was their beauty, even if it was corrupt without the sun’s light. These angels didn’t disappear in light, but turned into ash, stomped on afterwards by the humans. But there was a chance to regain the Creator’s trust and get their Sky lodges back. The answer once again was love. True Love. If someone could fall in love in them in the form in which they are now unforced. Then all Cursed Angels would regain their once fabled beauty and fly upwards towards the sky with their wings. But with each 100 years of their curse the Angels would be forgotten more and more by the whole world.

Ages went by, but the punishment still flew like a dark cloud over the beautiful creatures, which rotted in the field full of the ash of their ancestors. They rotted in loneliness, the blood in their veins was still cursed, reminding them of the acts they had done. Their eyes were sad and they waited for their end….. “
Everyone knew the Legend about the Cursed Angels, and whomever didn’t was just uneducated.

One peaceful day, sometime, no one knows when or where, the Cursed Angel Alexis* was walking up and down in the fading ash fields, the dust was lifting up in clouds around her under her feet. Her big and gray eyes were staring the ground and tears were raining from them. She didn’t know what to cry about first – that she had just lots the aaron* she cared about most in her short seventeen year life or for the curse that was inflicted upon herself. This night she dreamed again the same silhouette that she always saw in her dreams and the Aaron was completely sure that this had to be the human or creature in which she would fall in love and free herself and all the others from the curse.

For weeks Alexis had thought that she had to leave the Field and go out and find this person. At the start this decision seemed rash, but as time flew by it won her sympathies. The only thing that kept here was the old aaron Fay, but today she had turned into ash in front of her eyes, Alexis didn’t see any point in extend her stay here before she went on her journey. She quickly gathered the few things she possessed and put them in a old bag, tears were still raining down her cheeks. She flung her long purple hair from her face and started walking where her eyes saw, without saying goodbye to anyone…

*Alexis – means different.
*Aaron – means Angel of the Saturn day. Because the planet Saturn is though by most fortune-tellers for a sign of trouble, curses and etc., the Cursed Angel named themselves that after they were exiled…

The sky was sort of clear, here and there you could see some small white clouds. The sun shined so blindly that it blinded the people that were walking down the dusty streets. They brushed the sweat off of their faces and often looked up to the skies. A girl couldn’t take it’s eyes off of it’s endless blue bounds. It walked straight without looking in front of its self. It didn’t even notice as it had climbed up a small road. The path to the school from it’s home was known so well that the girls wasn’t surprised that it had traveled so much in so little time. Just as it was turning to see if a car was heading it’s way she heard the sound of a claxon honking, but it was too late…

It’s little body stayed there on the ground. People started to scream and formed a circle around it’s body. From all of the commotion the faded image of the deceased child watched what was happening, it looked somehow awkward, strange and so mixed up. Behind it a beautiful girl around 15 came closer. It had long silvery hairs and it’s eyes – a mix of green and blue. It’s skin was white and blended with it’s fabulous clothes. She smiled and put her hand on the child’s shoulder.
- Hello! – she quietly said.
- Who are you? – asked the girl excited.
- My name is Nicky Shaw Tancho and I’m an Assistant at the School for Angels. And you must be Annabelle, right?
- Yes. How do you know?
- Didn’t you hear what I just said – I’m an angel.
- An angel?
- Yes. Come on, they’ll explain everything to you at school. At this stage it’s my job to take you there.
- But…

Annabelle couldn’t reject, Nicky extended her wings and hid herself and the girl with them. A moment later they both disappeared and were in a beautiful white room It was sort of strange. There were no windows, but despite that fact it was very white, which wasn’t because of the wall’s color. In one end there was a bureau and behind it there was a young girl. Nicky and Annabelle came close to her and when she finally looked away from the book, which she was writing in she said with a bright smile:

- Ah Nicky, I see you’ve brought us a new angel.
- Yes, I have. Could you take her from here, I’ve got more than normal work today?
- Of course, you go on and don’t worry.

Nicky said goodbye to Annabelle, swung her wings and flew away and went through the wall which was made out of smoke. Most of the time the angel didn’t like her job. She remembered with what joy she went on missions, how she showed Heaven to the new angels, how she loved to talk with them. But now something was in the way, she could feel an emptiness in her soul and she couldn’t devote herself to her job. Her heart was introducing a new world to her, new challenges, it’s wild rhythm wasn’t meant for the boundaries of this cozy world. In the last few days thoughts of escaping from the School and Heaven came through her mind. And every time she thought about it she felt guilty. She could leave the people who had given her shelter and helped her grow up, but she couldn’t stay either. The more she thought about it the less guilty she felt and then came the urge to study the chaotic, messy and imperfect world of humans. Nicky was flying north not even suspecting where her wings were leading her. She didn’t know where she was going, she didn’t know what she was looking for or even what she was going to do, but she knew one thing and that was enough to leave Heaven and a new life, totally opposite from the one she had had was waiting just in her grasp…

Every living creature on this World makes it’s own decisions about life. This is something that is completely normal in the eternal circle of life on Earth. Some people run away from their true Me so they can live another life, calm or not. Everyone runs from some kind of shadow from the past, everyone makes sacrifices when it’s about life. The reasons for this are unlimited, more than the star in our Galaxy. Some people change their life completely, because of hate, because of greed, because of friendship or…..because of love.

A life who everyone would like to live. Quiet. Filled with warmth and love.

Can such a simple at first look emotion make you deny everything you have. Even the most beautiful thing? Would you? If you’re going to turn your back on life, so neat and perfect then there one single thing, that can make you do suck a thing. That thing is love. An emotion, felt by every human, angel or even demon. Something more beautiful than mother nature herself. Something higher than the wisest man. Something that changes the world you live in. If you’re in love, whatever happens you see the brightest things possible. It’s like putting on pink sunglasses, show your best smile and start going around the world. It’s like seeing the beauty in a wild beast! That’s right! that’s love, the most abstract thing that can be seen or felt on our world. Those who have felt it are forever grateful and happy, but often also miserable. Love doesn’t always make you truly happy.

Especially when the person your heart beats for most is so….unreachable. He’s somewhere. Out there in the cold world and you have to find him. Every time you fail that little light of hope, that burns in your hear. every time you set out on a new task, that little flame fades away.

That was the story of Liodayn. The beautiful Nymph coming from the shelter of the Forest. Never before seen human eyes.

She had it all. A cozy and pretty home, a family that few could even dream about. In the silver flows and the beauty of Nature – that’s where Liodayn’s home and family was. And one day it happened… she was just picking up another large bouquet for her mother, when she met Him! That wandering and hurt traveler, which helpless fell into her hands. She was next to him. In all of those late and hard nights she was next to him. She held his hand and prayed she would recover soon.

When he got his strength back, he and Liodayn were inseparable. Her parents saw how love was gleaming out of their daughter’s eyes and didn’t want to make her suffer, they didn’t want her to give her heart to a mortal, a complete stranger. But she had given her heart… from that sunny afternoon that he came for help to her…behind the many wounds and scratches…behind his birth roughness, Liodayn loved him. One morning she woke up alone in the purple sheets of her bed and learned the shocking news. He was gone. As much as her parents tried to convince her out of it, Liodayn didn’t believe their words that he had ran away with a mortal woman. She knew he was somewhere out there and he was waiting for her!

And so one night, while she was gazing at the start Liodayn saw his smile, heard his voice and positively put her mantle on.

- I want you to take care of Mom and Dad while I’m away. I’ll be back soon and I’ll bring you many beautiful things. I want you to be even prettier when I get back – Liodayn was crouching next to her little sister, which was crying.

The Nymph just started walking. Didn’t say anything to her parents. Just started walking on the risky path of love…

- Cutter – a deep voice rang… a few people were waiting in a big white room…. with the doors one at the bottom and the other one in front of them… actually they weren’t people, they were angels and this isn’t anyone’s voice, but as you all might have guessed…. yes it’s God’s voice… after his words rang out an angel stood up, he put out his cigarette started walking towards the door… he opened it and in front of him on his throne was sitting… an old man with a long white beard, and next to him Jesus… just like you’ve seen him in the bible and etc….

- Hi Boss…- smiled Cut and looked God with his icy blue eyes, he stared at Christ and winked at his, showing, without the old man seeing, his cigarettes… he knew that Christ also smoked, but because he was an example to follow his father had made him stop…

- Will you stop teasing him…- rang God’s voice… Cutter hid his cigarettes and smiled – for … hmm . how long have you been here…

- In 2 weeks it’ll be 500 year boss…

- Yes, so in 500 years since you’ve left your earth life didn’t you learn that:

First – no smoking here

Second – don’t call me boss and

Third… I can’t remember what the third one was, but I’ll tell you when I remember…

- Well you are getting old…- joked Cut…

- Oh yes, and Third – don’t joke with me…

- What, I barely joke at all…

- Ohhh – sighed deeply God – nothing can change you… - after which he smiled…- by the way I have a new mission for you…

- Boss, why are you gonna send me back on earth… come on let me live it up here for a while… last time I was down there everyone pleaded you to send your son… come on stop protecting him so much…

- His time will come… there is still time…

- Oh and when will be that, in another 2000 years, right…

- Don’t mess around, that’s none of your business…

- Ok… - said the young man… - what’s the mission

- You’ll find out…

- Boss, the last time you said that and I still don’t know what my mission was…

- But you achieved it…

- Oh all right, how will I get down, should I fly or do I have to be born again…

- You’ll fly, this time you’ll be an angel on Earth…

- Yeah, but I hope you won’t be sending me to protect someone… that idiot was terrible, he was a magnet for trouble… and he was getting on my nerves… heck even I wanted to kill him…

- This time you won’t have to protect anyone… you’re going to have to help someone… you’ll know who and with what…

- Ok… bye y’all- after which he turned and exited through the other door… he was on the verge of a cloud, he spread his wings and jumped off… he was falling for some time, after which he started flapping his wings and flew off… after a while he softly landed on earth and hid his wings… he looked around and noticed that he was in the midst of some small meadow… everywhere he looked he saw trees…

- Damn- he quietly said… he took a cigarette out of his pocket and light it up… the forest reminded him of his mother… he wiped off his eye off of which a lonely tear had dropped... he looked around, chose a direction and started walking…

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It was late night. Cold drops of rain started drumming on the windows of one of the few houses that still wasn’t asleep.

But let’s look closer. A young girl about seventeen with a strange look was sitting behind a giant map, of an even stranger place and she was studying it. She moved her fingers on the map which had changed from it’s color from a snowy white to a dull yellow as time had flown by. She wrote something down with a piece of feather ( which wasn’t normal for a person ) the strange names of the regions that were on the map. After which she opened a big encyclopedia of all of the ancient languages, bounded with a green book-cover made from soft velvet and incrusted with little diamonds and near every one of the previously written down names she would now add one on a understandable for every person language.

The door to the little room opened with a soft creak and an old woman with a blue dressing gown entered.

She went by the window and silently closed it, after which she turned to the girl:

- Sarah, it’s 1 o’clock after midnight, when are you going to go to bed?

A thunder thrashed outside and light the room, after which a roar was heard.

- Sorry Mom, I’ll go to bed in a sec.

- Tomorrow’s an important day! We’ll b going to town and you need to be fresh as a daisy.

- But, I thought that…

- No buts young lady, go on go to bed and leave those writings for another time! – after which the woman gently took her daughter’s hands off of the encyclopedia and feather and pointed the bed – Don’t make me come back.

Sarah looked at the soft satin sheets with unwillingly, but after she heard the door close and saw her mother’s back leaving she quickly took the encyclopedia and continued her work. Half an hour went by and her eyes started getting heavy and she decided it’s time to go to be. She doused the light in the room with a singe clap and went into a deep dream.

Suddenly she was in a beautiful place. She was in the midst of an ancient forest. It was entirely green and the soft lights managed to comb even the tiniest stroke of grass.

- Amazing. – said the girl and started exploring this place. It felt very familiar, as if she had been here before, but the unknown frightened her…

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
When Jury was 5 years old her whole family was murdered ( her mother, father, brother and sister ).

She grew up in an orphanage, until she made 14 and one night she took all of her stuff and secretly ran away with one purpose – to find the killers of her family. That’s when her adventure began.

Since she was little Jury was always good and helped all of the kids in the orphanage, in any way she could. She was always good with people. Her tutors noticed, that the little girl had great potential, and that she was cute, and that she was different from normal kids. She loved animals, but it wasn’t allowed to house animals in the orphanage, which made her sad sometimes, because she didn’t have a friend. The other kids thought she was strange, because she could move objects just by thinking it. Maybe they were afraid and that’s why they didn’t like to have any contact with her.

The night that Jury ran away wasn’t one of the hottest, but it was bearable. Not knowing where to go and kind of confused she walked on the streets. A few night later as she was walking in a park she heard a sad meowing, and seeing how she loved animals and was good natured she oriented by the sound and found a cute little kitten stranded in a bush. It was no more than a month and a half. It had black fur, it’s tail, which had been brutally broken was shorter, there was a white triangle on her chin and her feet had a little white o them, as if they were little socks. The wound on the tail was a little inflamed, but Jury took out a medical kit out of her bag, which she had taken from the orphanage and after she washed and bandaged the kitten’s wound. Seeing how cute it was, and she didn’t want to leave it alone she took it and continue her journey.

Inside the giant part there was a house. There lived an old lady, which Jury visited from time to time and decided to make another visit.

- Hey, hello – said the girl and smiled as she walked in.

- So the time has come. – said the old lady.

- What time? – asked the little girl.

- Well you’ve escaped for good this time, haven’t you?

- Well… yes. – replied Jury, but hastened to continue on her previous question – What time did you mention?

- The time to teach you, so you can defend yourself.

- But teach me what? – continued Jury.

- You, my darling Jury are a which, and so was your mother. Yes I knew her before the accident happened. She felt it might happened and begged me to keep an eye on you, and if something happened with them I should teach you how to be a witch. You’ve had the gift since you were little.

The girl was shocked and only managed to say:

- Why didn’t you tell me before.

- It doesn’t matter, I think it’ll be interesting. – replied the old lady and smiled. – Now come, my child, let me set up a room for you, ah and you have a little friend.

And so two of the most happiest years of Jury’s life past, but after she made 16 she felt unsure and out of place. She walked around the city, along with the kitten which followed her like a puppy dog everywhere. One night when she returned she started packing her stuff.

- Hey, have you decided to tidy up the room? – asked the old lady with a smile when she saw Jury.

- No aunt Maggy. I think it’s time I found my own place in this world and revenge my family. – she replied.

Maggie’s smile disappeared.

- But you’re not ready, even if you’re my most talented student.

- Please, let me decide if I’m ready. There last 2 years were perfect and I thank you, but please let me go, I don’t want to leave this place arguing.

The old woman sighed deeply, but she didn’t manage to say a word, she knew the girl was right.

After Jury finished with her luggage, which wasn’t much she went and had a talk with Maggie which lasted a long time.

When morning broke out the girl got up a little before sunrise, took her luggage and the grown up kitten, which she named Murphy and took off, a start toward the sunrise filled her with hope…

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
- Crow! Look! – said a man with black hair who was pointing the other end of the street.

Crow Trask looked where the man next to him was pointing. At the end of the dark street a he man appeared.

“ Good catch “ – thought Crow. Artua started walking towards the man, but Trask grabbed him by the hand and said “ wait!”.

- But … I saw him! I should drink his blood, Crow! – whined Artua.

- Quiet! And don’t call me Crow. For you I’m master, captain or Mr. Trask. Oh the hell with it a simple Trask will do.

- What? What’s going on with you Crow? You’re changing. We used to be friends.

- Once… - said Trask quietly.

The big man was coming close. With speed not suited to a normal man, Crow ran towards the man and jumped him, before the poor man could react. The white-haired vampire’s sharp teeth plunged into the mortal’s neck.

Suddenly Trask heard a terrible yell. He stood up and saw a beautiful woman with two kids who were staring horrified at the vampire, or better yet the large man who seemed to be a relative of theirs.

And then yet again he felt that emotion. A feeling, that he felt for over a year now every time he killed a man. Now it was even stronger. The woman’s horrified face and the children who were crying for their father made this pain grow, which Crow with sadness called “guilt”. With pain Trask understood he was turning into something horrible – a vampire with a conscience.

But Artua looking at the woman and kids didn’t see terrified people, he saw food. With the vampire’s typical cunningness he jumped onto the woman. Yes…. She looked the freshest. Without knowing what he was doing and only following his instinct he jumped the black-haired vampire before he could hurl his teeth into the lady’s neck. The two started fighting and Artua who was steamed off tried to bite Trask. Crow, understanding that his only chance of survival was killing his friend took out a silver knife and stuck it into Artua’s stomach. He burned and all that was left of his body was ash.

The white-haired vampire looked around and saw that the mother had ran away with her children. Then he started thinking. He had just killed a vampire. And not just any vampire, but the son of one of the High stature vampires in the Vampire’s Guild. He knew that even if he was a Captain in the Army of Vampires ( which was a high post ) that a terrible faith would await him for what he had done. Crow was 111 years old and was one of the most gifted young vampires, according to what the President of the Vampire’s Guild, even if he wasn’t that old compared to the “normal” vampires.

But it was too late…. Trask knew that the only way to survive was to live in exile. Funny , but he didn’t feel guilty that he had just killed his friend. Crow had seen many vampires die, because they refused to kill people. Now he was one of them. He felt guilt that in over 105 years time he had feed with the blood of innocent people, most of them families. For over 3 months now he had even had nightmares, in which the ghosts of all the people he killed attacked and killed him. He tried not to pay attention to all of this, but today he hanged his life forever. He just couldn’t watch how Artua would kill the poor woman, and after that her kids. And in his attempt to stop him he had killed him….yes… now Crow Trask had left the Guild and was a free vampire, living in exile.

And so he lived 9 months traveling from city to city feeding on animals in the forests. Today he was making 112 years, but to normal people he looked like a 19 year old man.

He was walking down a dark street in the suburbs of a big town. In minute’s time he would make 112 years. 9 months had passed since he “left” the Guild. He had sworn never again to drink human’s blood except in a matter of life and death or if the person was already dead. Now he feed off animal blood and lived mainly in the forests, where there was plenty of “food”. From time to time (like now) he would travel through the nearby towns and learn what had happened recently. Suddenly something caught his attention. Something like a shadow that moved a little and disappeared when Trask stopped. The white-haired vampire put his hand in his pocket to find his silver knife and looked around. He heard whisper behind his back:

- Happy Birthday, Crow. – Trask turned around, but saw nothing. Suddenly his intuition told him to move and he jumped aside, dodging a flying rock the size of his head.

Crow took out his silver knife and saw his opponent. As he suspected it was the vampire Amos Rotburn – one of the few who knew his first name, a Major in the Army.

- Oh, Amos. Long time no see. It’s been a year, hasn’t it ? – Crow was a skilled warrior and wasn’t afraid of Rotburn. – How are things going on There?

- Don’t you dare mention the Guild, traitor. I always knew you wear a weak idiot, always!

- But you were always one rank below me, dependant. – said Trask meanly – Bu now I guess you’ve taken my post as Captain. But when I give it a though if you’re here they haven’t given it to you, have they?

- They put that idiot Trevor Hull, but whatever. Now I’m going to deliver your head personally to the President and I’ll be made a General!

- Do you believe yourself? You’ll never be a good fighter.

Angry, Amos jumped Crow, who cunningly slipped sideways and hit Rotburn in the back. The Major stood up and attacked again, but again he failed.

- I don’t kill people, but vampires… - said Crow. After Amos decided not to try and get him down to the ground and he took out a gun, Trask decided to act quick and threw his knife directly into Rotburn’s heart.

He jumped sideways, but the knife hit his hand. Not wasting a second, Crow leaped over to the squirming from pain vampire and drank his blood.

“ Tasty” – said the white-haired vampire to himself after which he looked at the clock on the dead vampire’s hand. It was 11 pm. Crow Trask was 112 years old.

~&~"Bloody Roses: The Story"~&~

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The first few days spent in the forest were interesting, but again shocking for Ray. The demon was fitting in quite fast, which wasn’t very good for the other inhabitants. During the first night the green eyed girl managed to scare an old owl and she took away a hawk of it’s dinner as it was flying over the forest. The squirrels, who had a hole in one of the oldest trees in the forest had to leave their cottage because ray had managed to flood it. These were the typical demon’s “ young and innocent “ jokes. Ray was happy even if she had to leave Hell, she was still a higher rank than everyone down there. People that passed by the forest didn’t interest her at all. The demon often hid in the trees and watched them from up high, sometimes she read a thought or two, but they bored her. On the 6th day after the Surface became her home she started regretting her decision, but she knew there was no way to go back in time. While she was laying in one of the higher branches of some old oak, Ray felt a strange tinkle. Someone was coming and he wasn’t human. The demon looked through the branches interested. A few minutes later a strange creature showed up on the meadow, it looked like a demon. Ray smiled as she hid behind the branches so the newcomer couldn’t see her. – Hello! – Ray’s happy voice shrugged the creature out of it’s thoughts.

- Who is it? Show yourself! – it yelled as it looked from side to side.

- Ha-ha-ha! – giggled Ray with a child’s voice – Find me!

- Show yourself! – the creature’s eyes started glowing with anger.

- Ohhhh, come on…You’re boring. – Ray jumped out of the tree and landed softly in front of the creature. – Hey, you’re a demon! – she was surprised.- Yes you are a demon, I’m not mistaken.

Ray clapped devilishly and with smiled widely, as her green eyes sparkled with a child’s innocence.

- Don’t insult me! – managed to say the creature in front of her. The demon was shocked. She looked the creature from the right, the left, flew around it at 20 centimetres off the ground and said:

- But…but…how? You look like a demon… And why should I insult you, I myself am a demon – Ray’s voice showed that she was truly confused. In most situations the demon could keep her cool, but now she was rather unsure of that which she was doing.

- You’re a demon?!- replied with horror the unknown- What a disgrace!

- Well if you’re not a demon, then what are you? – asked Ray – You’re obviously not a human.

- I’m an Angel – she said proudly.

- An angel?! – and this time horror was written out all over Ray’s face- My god… Bu the way I imagined you in white dresses, with smiles, feathery wings and little shiny things around your heads, that’s what I heard, also I know you like to do nothing all day, sitting on a cloud with golden harps in hand – started explaining the demon..

- I’m not an ordinary Angel, I’m a cursed angel – said the stranger.

- Ha-ha-ha! laughed Ray- That’s even worse, you’re cursed- the demon looked pleased to have met her. The Aaron made a frown. She knew that well and didn’t want to be reminded. – By the way I’m Ray – said the demon with a bright smile and offered her hand. For a moment the stranger gave it a thought, but it seems she decided that a naughty soul wouldn’t be such a pest, and maybe she knew the way out of the forest. It was the 3rd day since the Aaron had been walking in a magical circle, as if the great Providence had wanted her to meet Ray.

- Well, all right – she said – I’m Alexis – and a faint smile appeared on her face as they shook hands – By the way what did you say you were doing here? Do you have an assignment to make the forest be blazed? – she looked at the fiery orb with which Ray was playing.

- Actually no…. I quit from Hell and I’m wondering what I’m going to do. What about you? You must be searching for a way to break the curse and free yourself and the other of your kind, right? – guessed the demon.

- Yeah…. something like that – replied Alexis, but she didn’t think that too much sincerity would be good for a demon. – By the way, do you know how to get out of this forest? – said the Aaron friendlier.

- If we have to be honest, yes. – replied Ray – Would you mind if I tagged along with you? – she said without giving it a thought.

- Well – started Alexis, ready to say no.

- PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE… It’s so boring here, there are just some mangy people and animals, even the owls aren’t interesting any more…

- Well, all right… - sighed Alexis as she turned her eyes towards the sky, which you could hardly see through the dome made out of leaves.

- Great! – said Ray as she jumped up, remaining at about a meter in the air…

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Alexis frowned, and a small wrinkle appeared between her eyebrows. She sighed and decided that this weeks of her life could be named “ The week of the Meetings “., some of which weren’t pleasant for her. A few days, right before she thought it was good to go deeper into the forest, the Aaron had met a creature, who’s destiny was to follow her. That’s right. When she left the fields, Alexis didn’t even dream, that during her first week of traveling she’d have so much things to think about. She was sitting on one of those village fences, which were bountiful in the village ( she never got it’s name right ), she was just lining up the messed up thoughts in her mind, when somewhere around her echoed a noise, like a camera’s click. Alexis didn’t pay attention at first, but after a while the noise started to demand attention. As if footsteps were carried about or at least it seemed as if they were. The Aaron had the silly feeling, that someone or something was running on air and fast. She decided that she was going insane, but for her delight she was wrong. The sound echoed again and somewhere around her a creature dropped, it looked like a fairy, only in didn’t have those little wings. Well, Alexis could pass without the wings – after all she didn’t have any. And since she left the Fields, she noticed that the green horns, that normally lay on her head had vanished.

- What are you?! – the words came out of her mouth. She didn’t care if she sounded harsh.

- I’m Lin-Lin. – replied the creature and looked upon Alexis with her big blue eyes. The Aaron felt troubled by that penetrating look. Afterwards, when she decided that the creature had no intention of moving it’s eyes she started staring at it. Lin-Lin had mauve hair, kept back with a giant bow in the same color. She was dressed in a white dress, which had endings were embroiled with a purple knot. Her skinny legs were appearing at the end of the dress and had white shoes, that looked more like socks.

- Were you….. well….. were you.- Alexis was thinking of a way of saying that which she wanted, but not sounding completely insane, she thought of asking: “ Were you running around in the air? “, but she finally decided to ask. – Were those your footsteps a while ago in the… in the air?

- Well, yes. – simply answered Lin-Lin, which didn’t stop staring the Aaron – I’m sorry for the noise. You must have been shocked. After all you don’t hear footsteps above your head every day, do you? Ha-ha – laughed the creature with in a melodic giggle and her eyes became little cracks on her white face, but the expression on Alexis’s face was still cold – Whatever. I’m sorry. I can’t orientate, when I walk… especially if I’m not on the ground, you know. SO I usually mix up the road, but ….. hm… You are Alexis, the Cursed Angel, which left the Field? – asked Lin-Lin as her face became serious.

- Yes. Why? – asked Alexis totally confused, she decided that today just wasn’t a day for straightening her thought up.

- Phew. – sighed the fairy with no wings. – For a minute there I thought I had messed up again.

- And then again why do you need me? – asked Alexis.

- Because I’m here to guide you.

- You? – stared Alexis and started laughing, but her laughter was harsh and unnatural.

- Yes, you guessed it – said Lin-Lin. – I’m here to help you find the one who you’ll fall in love with. You’ve dreamed me so many times, that I thought you’d remember, but I guess I was wrong…- the creature started thinking and talking – Well, yes... after all… I appeared only as a shadow…. yes, that’s why you didn’t remember.

Alexis blinked, after which she rubbed her eyes. She was probably dreaming or the creature was having a bad joke with her. But deep inside she knew, that even if she hit herself, Lin-Lin would still be in front of her.

- I’m dreaming you? – she couldn’t stop the disappointment in her voice – And why?

- I already told you – because I’m going to help you find your true love. The one that will fall in love with you. That’s what I’ve been commanded to do.

- So you’re…. you’re from up there? – Alexis looked to the sky and the little fairy nodded.

- But don’t think I’m going to tell you exactly what you’re supposed to do, I’ll give you riddles and they’ll help you. If you can solve them that is. – Lin-Lin winked. Apparently this was a funny game for her. – Here’s the first one… - the creature took out a white peace of paper from a pocket of her dress and started reading:

“ Take the first and last letter of the place, where you’ve been, but will never return to, take the third and fourth letter of the name you call yourself with, take the second letter of the place you’ve never been to, but will soon be back in, and finally take the first letter of King with the green crown from the forest…

Gather them up like that
and line them up with style
you’ll know that there are things
which are found in a ******

- And why must I do this? – asked Alexis.

- Because you have to. When you solve the riddle, you’ll get the place where you have to go. Now I’ve got to go, I’m already late as it is…

She heard that sound again, like a camera click and Lin-Lin disappeared in thin air, and the piece of paper was in the Aaron’s hands. Now, having met Ray, Alexis was holding the piece of paper with the riddle in her hand and was wrinkling her face with an effort to solve it… It seems her new acquaintance had noticed...

- Hey, what’s that? – asked the demon and looked over Alexis’s shoulder.

- Nothing – replied the Aaron and tried to hide the paper in her pocket.

- It’s not nothing, let me see… - insisted Ray.

- You’re very nosy – answered Alexis.

- Well I am a demon – said Ray and smiled – We’re supposed to be like that, we don’t take no for an answer, and by the way why am I even trying to get it this way – she stood in one place and closed her eyes.

- Hey, what are you doing? – Alexis was shocked, she knew she couldn’t predict anything that creatures like Ray could do.

- Hmmmmm – answered Ray without opening her eyes – What’s this riddle?

- You, you... but... how could you…- said Alexis confused.

Ray opened her eyes and said:

- There’s lot to be learned Alexandra… a lot – she said sort of bored.

- My name is Alexis – said the Aaron.

- All right… Alexis – said Ray. – But then again…. let me tell you that I can read thoughts, so don’t think too much about that little creature and that riddle, which I never got the chance to read, if you don’t want me to start messing with your thought would you mind…

- That’s not fair – said Alexis

- Why not… you don’t want to tell me, I’ll have to find out myself…

- Ohhh, leave me alone… - said Alexis angrily.

- Ok. Bye – said Ray and headed in the opposite direction.

- Wait, how am I gonna get out of this damn forest? asked Alexis.

- I don’t know – said Ray and looked at her hand’s fingernails, a sure sign that she wasn’t thinking about what she was talking about – That’s your problem, you told me to leave and I am – locks of purple hair covered the devilish smile that had appeared on the demon’s face.

- All right… I might tell you… later – promised Alexis.

- Ok… we’re not far away… soon we’ll be in a city with lot of people, don’t get scared – warned her Ray, but the Aaron only wheezed in a slight. The two continued their journey. Alexis wanted to walk and not talk, but she found out that in Ray’s company that would be a hard task. Not long afterwards as the demon promised the two were in the midst of a loud road… on the other end there were many of those creatures which they called “humans”,

As the two “ friends” slowly walked in the little village where the so called “humans” lived, they didn’t even think, that soon enough they would meet a new “friends”, or maybe just a stranger… beautiful and cursed to feel that so pretty but so devilish feeling called love. Yes… she was traveling and looking for her Heart somewhere in this giant world, or better yet she was looking for the man who had “stolen” her heart so many many years ago.

Ray and Alexis headed to an old building, which was supposed to be an Inn, but it didn’t have a cozy look.

When they opened the wooden door the two “creatures” found themselves in a dusty and foggy room from all of the cigarette smoke… this was the Inn, that rounded up all of the “lower” creatures ( people _. There they would sweeten their lives with their primitive entertainment. When the demon and cursed angel stepped over the Inn’s doorstep everyone turned to look at them. The old men looked away from their gambling games and biting their wooden pipes looked into the creature. They were the only ones. They were always the only ones. Ray looked with a mean and angry look at the watchers, which made them look away. Alexis and Ray sat down on a small and farther away from the others table in the corner of the inn, which had it’s advantages – they could keep an eye on everything from there… the visitors, barman, even the spider that was making it’s web on the small dirty window in the end of the inn. Ray’s looked was nailed down to one odd visitor… did I say odd? Maybe mysterious is better. She was dressed in a dark-purple garment and her long, white and silvery hair showed itself from time to time from under her big hood. She was sitting on the bar. She wasn’t drinking anything. She wasn’t talking to anyone. She was just sitting like a rock and from time to time her white fingers showed and started dancing nervously. Ray was interested by this person… she was of their “kind”. A wanderer….

Now here's a little bit of the story to get you started folks:

~*~*~*~*~*~
It was night, when the inn at last became empty and the bartender started putting the chairs upside down, when the “wanderer” moved. All those hours she had spent in total harmony… she stood up and went by Ray and Alexis with her cloak on, they couldn’t have not noticed her incredibly bright blue eyes. They shined like silver…
Alexis and Ray followed her, right to the forest… it was dark, but she wasn’t afraid of the dangers, she could meet in this dark place. Alexis and Ray started walking faster. As if someone wanted them to meet the Wanderer. Just as they were getting closer she suddenly turned around.

- Who are you and what do you want?. – her voice was shallow, calm and very melodic. As if she sang those words… so tender…. such a melody!
Ray looked at her with her ‘poison’ eyes.

- We just wanted to warn you. This forest is dangerous in the day, shall we even speak of the night… - Alexis turned to the silver-haired.
She blinked. Her somewhat bloody at first look became gentle and a soft smile appeared on her face.

- Thank you.

She was really quite pretty…. so pretty that it was unnatural. She took her hood off and her face appeared under the moon’s light, her hair twinkled as if fell downwards.

- I’m Liodayn!

- Are you a? – carefully said Alexis.

- Yes! I’m a nymph!

The three were standing close to each other and were talking when they heard a noise form a tree. Ray turned and started sniffing. “ Demon Blood” she stated to the other two. Suddenly they heard a voice:

- Interesting. 3 women in a forest at this time. Even more interesting – one is a demon, the other is a nymph, but the third one, I have not seen a creature like you, but you are no human, that’s for sure.

- Come out, whomever you are. – said Alexis.
At this moment from a tree appeared Faint, his head facing the ground, he was standing only on his tail

- Who are you and what are you doing in this forest. It is forbidden to enter.

- I’m Ray from…

- Hell, as I can see, a demon and a powerful one at that, even if I don’t know you, I can tell what you are.

At that point Ray made a fire ball and hurled it towards Faint. He jumped onto the branches of another tree.

- I hate when someone interrupts me.. – said Ray, but at that moment a knife went dangerously near her, tearing a part of her dressings.

- Don’t make me cut you open, even if you are a demon. And I hate demons.

- And as I can see, humans too. – said Alexis.

- Not all of them are good, there are some, but they are very rare. I love the trees. Only place that you can be safe. By the way I’m Faint.

- And you’re a demon cat. – said the nymph.

- Half demon-cat, other part is human. And you are?

- Liodayn, the forest nymph.

- Is there another kind. – interrupted Ray.

- Water nymph, humans call the mermaid I think...

- So you’re a nymph, would you mind telling me what this forest is saying. I can feel that something is wrong here. – said Faint.

Just a moment…. – after a two minute pause she said – It’s angry at Ray, for disturbing the inhabitants, but there was something about dreams, which I couldn’t understand.
- Might be my dreams. – stated Faint. – I’ve been dreaming weird people lately, you were one of them – he said pointing the nymph.

- Hm. Yes, but at the same time no. It says that it’s not only your dreams.

- Sounds crazy. – said Alexis.

- I agree. Would you get down already. – said Ray.

After he got down he lead them to a small meadow, where he had made a fire and the four creatures sat around it, warming themselves up and telling tales of everything that had happened to them these last few days…

- Holy S… - Cut stopped himself and coughed – damn… - he said as stopped a few branches which were about to painfully hit him in the face… - where did the boss send me now… who will I help here… in this forgotten forest… suddenly he heard voices.. he looked up and said:

- For once I got it….first time it happened… thank you – said the angel ironically.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Ray started sniffing in the air, someone’s blood… - There’s an angel close by. – she said as she wrinkled her forehead.

- Yes, me – said Alexis…

- I’m talking about a real angel… a one that isn’t cursed… did he have to come right now? – she looked over.

- So what – asked Liodayn and Faint at the same time.

- I’m from hell remember… the demon and. – she started talking – God are fighting amongst one another so we have to hate them… plus my last mission was stopped by one of them.. it was a long time ago, but I still remember he liked to smoke…a lot… - his name echoed in her head – oh yes, and his name was Cater or Cutter… can’t really remember… - she smiled…

The bushed moved… and a silhouette of a man appeared… he came near the range of the light and they saw his blonde hair, moving in front of his eyes… they all looked at his astounded… only Ray laughet… they immediately knew that this was an Angel.. he looked at them with his cold-blue eyes…

- Hello. – he smiled at them… he knew they were not ordinary humans, but high creatures, like himself… he looked at Ray and laughed as he said:

- It’s been a long time, huh… - after which he took a cigarette out… Ray threw another one of her fire balls. It flew centimetres away from Cutter’s face, but it light up his cigarette…

- Yes, it’s been a long time, and you haven’t stopped that dreadful habit – she said with a mischievous flame in her eyes…

- Well. Yes… but you aren’t better with all of that smoke down there…

- Ah yes… and you still have that funny humour…

- I’ll take that as a compliment… well how are you… we haven’t seen in a while…. 500 years to be exact… after that crisis… you tried to fail my mission… but I knew we both would win… he’s rotting in hell righy… that’s what happens when you get on an angel’s nerves… - blew out some smoke- so how are you doing…

- Usual stuff.. I go around and try to mess up stuff for your boss as much as I can…

- I’m not enough, and you have to involve hell in this…

Everyone stated laughing…

- Won’t you introduce me to your friends…

- Don’t you have a mouth…

- I’m Cut…

- Cutter – said Ray.

- Yes, but I like being called Cutter…- he said laughing.

- I’m Faint… half cat demon…

- I’m Liodayn… forest nymph…

Cut stepped forward towards Alexis…

- I’m Alexis – said the girl…

Cut felt that they had something in common… and said:

- Let me guess… you’re a cursed angel…

- Yes- she said sadly…

- I’m pleased to meet you all…. but I’ve got to ask you is anyone in need of some help, because the boss send me out here with some purpose, but I’ve got no idea what it is… - no one answered…

- Well… nothing, I’ll hang with you guys and maybe I’ll get some kind of a sign… - he sat down by the fire and told his story, and afterwards listened to everybody else’s stories.

WarBrood, check the last post edited it, send me your character and I'll edit it into the character list and I'll make a beginning story ;).

Added a beginning story to get you working, so we're in the meadow, everyone get their
characters to it and please no short posts, this is a RP that I want you to be dedicated to :)
Now stop reading and start writing ( and check for writing mistakes, wouldn't want to ruin a good story with bad grammar :) )

So then, do we have free reign to craft the story, or is there some specific goal we should try to work to?

Um.... Use creativity, but just to mention this world has magical creatures, but there are no creatures like orcs or elfs, there are trolls, but I'll mention them a lot later in the story.

Now start RPing and stop talking :)

Edit: Zeltaris YOU DO HAVE CROW, Ray is for GrassDragon, read better dude ;)

Crow
~~~~
He muttered as he retrieved his dagger from his fallen enemy's corpse
"Damned fool. Not even a lifetime of knowing me would have saved you." Crow kicked the vampire's body and walked away.
"Now, I feel it is time I left this place. They'll send another goon in no time." He turned a corner and faded into the darkness.
Half an hour later, he emerged near the city gates. Half a dozen guards kept it during nighttime. It seemed pretty obvious that they would not let him pass.
"Still, it's worth trying," he said to himself as he approached who seemed to be the headguard.
"Good evening good sire," he said "I must request your permission to let me cross the gate, for even though it is indeed late, important business bid me elsewhere."
The guard stared blankly at Crow
"Sorry mate, but it in't possible. Governor's orders say 'splicitly not to let anyone in or out afterhours, save for truly unique circumstances"
"I see," replied Crow. "well, in that case, you leave me no choice" His eyes flashed wildly as they passed from pitch black to the most intense shade of crimson. The guard staggered and grabbed for his throat as the vampire walked towards him. "Let. Me. Out, you senseless twit"
The guard seemed to shrink under the influence of the fiery orbs that pierced the darkness of Crow's cloak. He grabbed desperately for something but his strength faltered and his legs gave way under the seemingly unbearable weight of his body. The guard hit the ground with a loud clanking of his armour. He was unconscious.
However, the sound of his fall had alerted his fellow guards who rushed to his aid. Although they arrived too late to save their boss, they were still on time to apprehend the vampire before he escaped.
Or so they thought.
Crow darted for the fallen captain's body where retrieved his sword. Weapon in hand, he readied himself for the fray. Normally, five heavily armed guards would be able to defeat a lone opponent. Crow, however was not any average swordsman and with a reason. He was a hundred and twelve years old and he knew the ins and outs of countless things. Less than half a dozen guards would be rather... interesting.
With ungodly reflexes, he lunged at the closest guard. Fear surfaced in the man's eyes as Crow's hood blew off to reveal his true self. While the vampire still retained most of his human form, there were certain aspects in the nature of the undead that made themselves patent. His crimson eyes have already been spoken of, but I have failed to mention his pale, pearly skin which seemed to meld with his equally albine hair. His hands were no longer those of a boy in his late teens. They seemed more like those of a crone with long, bony fingers and sharp nails. Crow's jagged teeth were revealed to his foe in a blood curdling sneer. Without even being touched by the vampire's blade, the guard collapsed and fainted on the ground.
Crow spun just in time to block a blow from another guard. Unlike what happened in the stories of old, all four of the remaining guards were attacking at once instead of standing in a circle, waiting for their turn. Crow had to swivel around constantly to guard his back. Block. Stab. Stab. Block. Lunge. Stab... it was all a frenzy of steel blades clashing, swinging. In quite a few occasions, Crow Trask found himself with a blade against his neck, which he would push away with his sword a fraction of a second later, only to find himself pinned once again. All he needed was to find that window of chance... that single moment when he could fix his gaze on the puny mortals... and it came to him soon. He ducked just in time to dodge two blades which came from opposite sides of him, apparently in an attempt to behead him. The two guards blocked each other for a second, but a second was all Trask needed. He raced up to the other two guards who were left. With his vampiric speed, he stabbed the first one through the heart before the poor soul could even react. The second one tried to put an end to the vampire, but Crow was swift enough to block the human's blade on time. They were fixed in a deadlock, which was exactly what Crow wanted. His ruddy eyes pierce into the core of his foe and broke him. The man toppled lifeless on the ground.
What remained of the battle was quick and clean. Two human soldiers are not a match for a vampire and Crow dispatched them in a matter of minutes.
However, he did not walk away unscathed. Though his body was intact, the grievous burden of guilt had already made itself present in his soul. He opened the gates and walked out of the city, his head hanging low between his shoulders. Amidst his own laments, he faded into the forest, his constant moanings of "what have I done" echoed in the night.
~~~~~~~~
[OOC: The whole paragraph above happened a couple of days ago ^_^]
Two days later, his dark figure emerged from the woods on the outskirts of another town. This new city had no walls, although it did not make that much of a difference. It was daytime and Crow had assumed his human form. No guard would ever think of locking a 19 year old out, especially if he was going to see his ill grandmother. As he walked down the city, he felt an urge to rest. Even though vampires have formidable stamina, and even though fatigue had not yet got to him, Crow had grown bored of being on the move. He glanced around and spotted a small, musty Inn.

A small man who looked well in his sixties kept the door.
"May I help you?" he asked
"Ah, yes, my good man. Would you be kind enough to let this weary traveler in for a pint?"
The small human opened the door and showed Crow in

What timeframe is this in? 21st century, early 20th, 19th, 16th, 11th, etc?

Nicky
Angel
Down to Earth
~~~~~
Nicky flew through the dark saphire sky, looking down at the earth; it looked like a green fuzzy carpet covered the land in varios patches. Looking down, an especially large patch of it covered the land around a small gathering of block-like shapes. "Hmm, that's interesting, I've never been to this town before." Nicky thought to herself, deciding it the best place to start.
Flying down, she finds herself in a small part of town near a tavern. Deciding not to cause any distrubance, she hides her wings. Suddenly, a presence seemed to call to her. She looked across the town, as if she could see through buildings, she felt a presence, a dark presence, a tormented, bound, presence, as if seeming to drain down the life of mana around it. "I, I wonder what it is. I should see, what kind of a presence would dwell so near humans?" Nicky wondered, walking off towards it to investigate.
Walking through the cold dark streets alone at night, any normal human would know better. However, Nicky was not afraid as anyone else in her position would have been. Suddenly, from out of the alleys, a hand grabs her, draggin her in. Caught in shock, Nicky looks up into the cold, somewhat deformed face of a man, gasping as he laughs. "Well now, what have we here?" the creep says, laughing to himself a rather ghastly cackle. Nicky, tryng to maintain absolute calmness, commands, "let me go."
The man responds, "Oh? I don't wanna do that, you're too pretty!" then suddenly pulls up a knife, "And I want that smile, hee heya! hieya ha!" Suddenly, Nicky's eyes begin to glow, as the man suddenly looks down to see 14 feet of air below him. Nearly sh*tting himself, the man exclaims and scream in horror, as Nicky tells him in a rather sad manner, "Sorry, but this was your own choice." before dropping the man into a stack of trashed bottles of glass. The man survives, however, feels a new experience of pain into his thighs and legs. Nicky then flies onto the nearest rooftop, hoping that no one saw. "Perhaps I had best stay off the streets. A young 15 year old girl may be tempting bait to even worse people. I pity that man, perhaps if his father had not expected too much of him that summer. Hmm, a troubled world this is."
Finally, Nicky feels the source getting closer and closer, as she identifies the tavern, in which it is located. "Hmm, a place of broken dreams, borken hearts, and broken bottles. Why am I not surprised. I wonder if I can even help at all." Jumping down a small alleyway, she quicklylooks around before walking onto the street. Walking up to the tavern, the sallon door extends outward, knocking into Nicky, sending her to the ground, as a small group of wanderers run out, following a hooded figure. Nicky, slowly picking herself up, walks into the bar, no longer feeling the presence of the spirit.
The bartended then pushes her out, saying, "Sorry miss, bar's closed." She then asks, "Wait! Was there someone in here? Someone....dark?"
"What? What in tarnation are you talking about?"
"I..I'm sorry. Never mind."
"Hmmm,well, wait. There was this one stranger, came in here in a hood and cloak, some wierd looking wanderer. Kept to herself, she did, acting all dark an mysterious. Though I would'nt worry, we get almost 2 or 3 people like that a week."
"Wait, which way did she go?"
"Uh, I dunno. I think she headed straight out that way."
"Thank you."
"Wait, you don't want to go that way though."
"Why not?"
"It's the forrest of Noctuku, very dark, very dangerous. Some say there's a demon in those woods...Though I dunno if I beleive in demons and all that, something sure is over there."
"Thanks, but I think I can handle a demon."
Nicky takes straight off like the bartender says. Suddenly, she begins to feel the presence once again. "Ah, it did come here. Now where is she then?" Nicky says, running into the forrest. Running past tree after tree, she felt the presence starting to move away. While running to catch up, suddenly, something knocks into her, sending her to the ground. Upon getting up, she sees a large demonic grizzly, bearing down on her. "EEP." Suddenly, as the bear's claw swings towards her, she pushed off the ground with her feet, back flipping in time to avoid the deadly demonic claws, just as they crashed into the ground.
Nicky feels the presence of her pursiut moving away from her, however, at the moment, that was the least of her problems. Nicky thrusted her hands forth, blowling a large gust of wind at the grizzly, trying to hold it back. The bear, a bit taken aback at first, stood its ground, then charged directly at her. Nicky quickly lept into the air, changing the wind current slightly upward, allowing her to flipjump over the grizzly, as it bounded forth catching nothing. The bear quickly turned around, as did the current of wind, as nicky tried her best to keep a constant pressure on the bear, blowing leaves and dust around towards the bear.
Nicky no longer feeling the presence of her pursiut begins to feel worried, as she has lost track of it, as well as having being threatend by this conjunction of demonic forces. Suddenly, she gets and idea, looking behind her. Lining herself up, she pours on as much wind as she can muster, trying to keep the creature back. Finnally, the demonic grizzaly, gathering it's strength, charges at her. Suddenly, Nick stops the wind, changing it's directiion completely at full force with an upward draft as she hits the ground, sending the bear headfirst into the large firm tree behind her. The bear crashed stright through the tree, knocking it down, as it lands face up on the other side.
Looking about, Nicky lost sight of the source. Walking over to the bear on the ground, she looks down in pity as it begins to bleed black ooze from the top of it's head. Seedenly, the creature swipes one last time at nicky. Thrusting her wings foreward, she dodged back just in time, as the bear slashed through a small part of her shirt. Falling to the ground on her back, she sees her shirt, growing a dark stained red, as it grows. Nicky then backs up, tearing the shirt off with much haste, as it begins to catch flames, and burn on the ground.
Nicky then turns to walk away, looking down, she still has her bra and dress at her waist unaffected. She thinks to herself, "Well, although I don't like it, it would'nt hurt walking around just like this. However, I will have some trouble hiding these wings. It's a good thing they make me wear one of these anyways. I still wonder if they got my complaint about these dresses...." Suddenly, the scent of smoke starts to fill her nose. Turning around, she sees the flames from her shirt spreading about the forrest ground, riding up along a few small trees. "Oh no..." She thought. Suddenly, the remains of the bear burst into flames, letting the fire spread even quicker.
Nicky looked off to the distance, then back to the fire. "I can't leave this fire here, but I can't lose them. Auuuhh, I can't let this fire consume the forrest. I have to stop it." Summoning with all her might, she shifts changes in the high sky winds, bringing the clouds to her aide. "Perhaps this will work for now..."
Sorry, I started work at a 40 hour a week job last monday. Although, I got fired from that job this last friday morning, so I'm cool to RP again now. ^^ Living with parents is so cool when you're 21 =P
By the way, I last posted, and I was hoping to have Nikki traveling one step behind those four. Faint, cutter, etc. She would be like, always trying to track them down and being like one step behind them for aways. I thought it would be quite cute ^^.
Anyways, I just had Nikki bring in some rain clouds over the entire area to sedate the forrest fire. It's up the your four(or more, I lost count) guys now to post and move yourselves along before I can follow. If you guys dont, then I'll have Nikki catch up to you. I think it's th efact that this RP lacks objective, that it is'nt moving. Can't move somewhere if you don't have a direction to go to now do you? Here, let me throw something in.
Nikki
Angel
Spreading the love.
~~~~

Nikki tried with all her strength, and indeed, it seemed to be working. Large clouds above started to loom closer. "Yes, yes! It's working." Nikki thought to herself. Unfortunatly, she could control the winds, but not the weather. As Nikki looked up towards the clouds, her expression turned from a joyous hope, to a horrified shock. Huge flickers of electricity errupted in a spatter of lightning bolts from the clouds into the forrest.

Nikki realized then, the storm she had just brought, was not one of rain, but a powerfull charged lightning storm, ready to strike upon the charged, and dry forrest floor. Fire started to errupt all around her. Trees started to fall around her. "Oh...Oh father no." She thought to herself, nearly in tears of horror. The flames began to spread fast.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the forrest, Faint stops from the conversation, sniffing at the air. Cutter then stops and asks, "What, what is it?"
"....Fire. Large fire. With these winds, it's spreading fast. If we don't move soon, we'll be surrounded."

OOC: There you go, some twist! ^^
