I saw this on another forum where members can submit quotes into a approved list. The list will randomly pick a quote and display it for the day and will do that everyday. I think that's kinda kool.

I think the fact that B.F. is working on this very project is equally troubling. I suggest we try something original.

Surprised XG3 hasn't just taken the hack that's available at vbulletin.org and installed that.

That is the best idea. You're kidding, BF is already doing it?

damn... okay, next idea?

I find it quite cool, but it'd be more long-term appealing if there was some kind of rating and submitting system as well. If you have the planned that's fine, but it's cool as it is as well and I spread the love. <3

That is such a good and original idea!

That's much like bash.org's system. :)

Technically, the script we're using temporarily at BF is random every time you view the main page.

This is kinda suspect MacG ;(

And are we even big enough for quotes? How about we come up with WB specific ideas, and not ones from BF. No matter how much a coincidence it may be :/

Maybe we should just have a "Quotes" thread for funny quotes and sstuff... I dunno O_o We should do WB Comics ;D Lol...

www.solid07.net (http://www.solid07.net/)

I saw it from there, they have 28 of pages of quotes for a years worth I think. I didnt see a quote page on bf last night...

Problem is that we're still too new. A lot of our material would wind up being from BF or Fenguin. :/

MacG, a lot of BF's quotes are from personal collections, such as mine.

It doesn't matter if BF has it, because WB don't give a shit. If we want it, we get it!!! ROAR!

If we do end up getting a quote system, at least make sure that the quotes it displays are humorous.

well anyway i post a quote
Your wisdom is like vision from the corner of the eye. It seems
to exist, but disappears when examined.

It should have a moderator approval on all submitted quotes, so yeah, it should be humorous.

hahahahaha! lol! That should be the first quote in our quotes database if we're having one!

CODEZERO, do you want me to be honest or do you want me to tell you it's great?

Sort of like a miniature bash? That'd be pretty cool.

hows my quote
We actually don't have a quote system; or any current plans to implement one for that matter. If we did, though, you've got to bear in mind that the quotes we'd use wouldn't really be funny proverbs, but more off-the-bat humorous statements that people have said throughout the forum :)

Honestly!

What do you think I think of your quote?

CODEZERO

My thought was "Why are you sitting around posting quotes like that when there are much more pressing matters. Like World of WarCraft."

But honestly, I find the words 'homo erectus' a tiny, tiny, tiny bit funnier than your quote.

Lol, it's like an arms race between WB and BF

MacG

Goodnight little thread, sleep tight. The topic has devolved beyond rational comprehension, but AJ forgot to use the close button. ;)
