But are there many sites that will just put the 88x31 on their site? I think most sites want to "trade", and we don't need any affiliates. ;)

But I really like the idea though; maybe I'll make one as soon as I get this poopy header to look good. :D

Shiver7 and System Dark are awesome, and yes they both have an 88x31 px affiliate button if you will. And we (the members) could just use it on our sites and it will give you extra hits, plus it's much better (and more eye-catching) then just a text link.

Maybe it could be a contest to make it (i.e. all of us submit a design and then the judges (maybe Feng, AJ, Exe and whoever else) judge it and choose a winner? Sorry I've been craving a graphic competition :D ). Just a thought.

I can just imagine people getting banned (or their signature's edited) at a certain website, since the members will have a linkback image of Warboards in their sig. :rolleyes:

Well, that's not what it's usually for, but yeah I might do that :D. Thought it probably wouldn't work (since they censored www.warboards.org so it's www.********.org or whatever).

You can be sure I'll be putting a WB linkback image in my sig at various unnamed forums. Not to press any points, but rather to show my support for the boards. If they choose to ban me, that is up to them. However, I don't think that banning someone for links and images in their signatures would be a good representation of the rules, and the standards of the board.

I may, or may not get around to making one of these linkback images, but we'll see. It depends if I can find the time for it . . .

I will, however, throw the image in the links section of a few sites I'm part of.

Well, I got bored in the heat (or the lack thereof) of the night, and decided to make an 88x31 for Warboards. It certainly isn't the best thing since sliced bread, but it's something at least. :)

Although I can't really take too much credit for it, as all the elements come from the warboards pages (therefore making it match warboards perfectly). Props to Oboe for working hard, but step aside (just kidding)

And oh yeah with regard to BlackHawk mentioning that *********.org is censored over at everyone's favorite forum, I've been meaning to ask if anyone would be willing to host a page on their site that simply redirects to Warboards. So you can't tell by the URL. I'm sure we could get away with it for a while ...:ninja:

May I point out that all really interesting and cool 88x31 images generally have ANIMATION of some sort. If you wanna pwn your opponent (HINT) use some crazy animation in your button.

It stopped being my favorite forum the minute I left. ;) though It won't work since now that would be on the lopok out for something lik that. But just you wait, the staff will be chasing off the veterans with their BS politics. I should know this quite well. ;)

Actually what Red REALLY means is that as long as Red is going to be childish about keeping Warboards censored because he (and the other staff members from Legacy) is afraid that Warboards will be even better than Blizzforums in every possible way; just like the Battleforums community is slowly becomming an even better community than that of Blizzforums community. Sad, but true. ;)

And, Red. You are in no position to warn anyone at Warboards, therefore you will have to swallow your pride (which is something you will never have the guts to do) and ask a Warboards Staff member to perform the warning for you should anyone thing about trying to advertise Warbopards.org in their signature, which is still allowable at Blizzforums (According to the Terms of Service) if the advertisement is done in people's Signature, but you obviously are trying to break the same rules to which you have wrote. Thank you :)

DC no offense, but Battleforums will NEVER be a "better community" then Blizzforums.

Just becuase you dont visit there doesnt mean that no one else enjoys it there.

Theres been talk about signature linking, but its not going to happen becuase of certain people who continually try to circumvent blizzforum's rules (even if they contradict)

Even thought Edge here said "Dont break other forums rules" people still broke them at BF -- any wonder why Admins there arent willing to remove the censor?

Anyways AFAIK its not impossible to link to WB, you just need to be sly about it ;) But to keep twisting this into a WB vs BF is really stupid.

Linkback images are good -- and whichever one catches my eye will probably go on my Links page, but I dont put linkback images in my signatures, thats just wierd, and like just trying to get noticed for it.

At least Battle hasn't hade a major breakup between staff since the 1 former Admin gaheadga(sp I think I spelled the name wrong, sorry) rather than the 3 Admins, 1 Senior Mod and at least 2 regular Mods at Blizz.

I still have the Admin mentallity I did when I was at BF even though I was only a Senior Mod. I knew what the Terms of Service are because I have memorized them and I also know that Red is making stuff up just because he can rather than making it set in stone about what the rules are. ;)

Heh, I'm a graphic slacker, I didn't try to make it smooth, just to have decent animation. I don't have the time to put out a truly smooth one right now, but I'll get one out as soon as I do.

Straight fades are boring, I'll admit that, but they're fast and simple. :D

hammock, I suggest you do another border layer as the very top layer of your animation, because there are a few dark spots on it from the arrow sphere, and it just makes the whole thing look ugly as hell.

Well here is the revised one without the weird dark stuff at the edges. And yeah there are fades in here but there is also the sweeping brightness thing that comes from the bottom right (my favorite) and the arrow thing, which is not a tween.

My bad Oboe, I didn't even notice your animation...I like that it has color, but I wish the thing would turn blue right as the other thing moves all the way to the right, rather than have a delay while the words fade in.
