HOW IT WORKS
-------------------------------------
This RP is somewhat similar to PvR. However, there are rules that will restrict what you can and can't do. For example, your character has a certain point limit (usually 200) which can't be exceeded. Everything relative to your character, from the Race he is (no, not Black or Asian or whatever, I'm talking Lizardman, Human, Elf, etc.) to the weapons he uses, will take away some of your points. Also, weapons can only be used a certain way, for example, no throwing a sword, and no exceeding your ammo limit on bows, crossbows, and javelins. This is a brief outline, I will explain the rules more thoroughly in a sec. At the end of this post I will make a complete list and stats for every race, weapon and attribute in the game.
YOUR CHARACTER'S BASIC ATTRIBUTES
--------------------------------------
- Race
This affects what attributes your character can take (I'll explain attributes in a minute). Also, it affects your character's appearance and innate attributes, innate weapons, and other things (once again, I'll tell you evrything in a while).
- Attributes
You are allowed to take on Attributes to your character. Attributes cost points, but can be very helpful. Basically, they are abilities your cahracter can use ONCE PER POST.
Some attributes, called Innate Attributes, came with the race of your character. You do not have to spend points on innate attributes; they are completely free. In addition, you can use them whenever you feel like it, so you don't have to go by the one-use-a-post rule for normal Attributes you decide to get.
Not all Attributes are available for most races! The races are limited by their own abilities, and can't even try to learn to do things other races can. For example, while most races can learn to swim, Trolls are simply too bulky and dull for a task as delicate as swimming. While most races can take on the Swimming attribute if they choose, Troll can never use this attribute np matter what. To figure out which attributes are available, have a close look at your race's stats. Any attributes not listed under the "Attributes allowed" stat cannot be learned.
- Weapons
A character is defenseless without a weapon. You will want one of these for obvious reasons.
Weapons are kind of like attributes. You can have as many as you like, provided you're still under your 200 point limit, and once you get a weapon, your character is assumed to know how to use it.
Like attributes, certain races can't use weapons other races might be able to. For example, that big, dull Troll who can't swim is at an advantage because he can sweep a log at his enemies if he so chooses, while an Elf is way too weak to pick up something like that. Weapons available to your race are listed in the "Weapons allowed" stat. Any weapon not listed there is not available to that race.
A few races automatically get a weapon for free. These Innate Weapons, like Innate Attributes, you have no matter what and are free.
Ranged weapons (bows and javelins, to be exact) have an ammo amount. You can't exceed the ammo amount in one post. On your next post the ammo is considered refilled; however, your ammo limit is determined by how many points you invest in it. The more points you spend on a bow's ammo score, the more arrows will be available in each post.
(Whew, that was long! Now that you have a basic idea of how the characters work, I'll tell you how to play.)
HOW TO PLAY
--------------------------------
- Introducing you character
On the first post you make you must introduse you character. You must include their race, the attributes you have chosen for them, and the weapons you have chosen. Your character's stats should look like this when you introduce them:
Name: (name)
Race: (race)
Attributes: (attributes)
Weapons: (weapons)
(Weapon Ammo amount (if applicable): (ammo amount))
Easy as cake!
- Playing
Playing this RP is very easy. You basically describe where your character is and what he does at that time in your post. Basically, we're all writing a story together. You cannot, however, exceed your ammo amount or use attributes you don't have. If you double post, figuring you'll just refill your ammo, it won't work. When you double post the two posts are considered to only be one.
- Cheating
Pretty grim subject, huh? Like anything else, the possibility to cheat is high in this game. You are cheating if you:
- Exceed the 200 point limit in any way
- Do things linked to attributes you don't have
- Exceed your ammo limit in a single or double post
- Exceed the once-per-post limit for non-innate attributes in a single or double post
- Kill another human player's character (enemies and NPCs are okay, though)
- "God Mod", in other words, make your character omnipotent and nuke the world or whatever twisted ideas may spring to mind
Cheating is bad. Should you cheat, you'll be expelled from the RP, in other words, I'll say the word and you can't play in it anymore. If you are expelled the other players will basically ignore anything and everything you might say after you're expelled. If you are expelled and you have a character, that character is turned into an NPC and we can do whatever the heck we like with him.
Of course, I won't be unreasonable. If you only go 2 or 3 points above the point limit because you didn't compute it right, I'll probably let it slide. Likewise, if you forget your ammo limit once or twice, it doesn't really matter unless you purposely "forgot" it to God-mod yourself some glory.

STORY
---------------------
The people of the gentle village of Wyndamiir expierienced their first theif a while ago. He stole items from everyone in town, including yours. After awhile they cought the theif and chased him out of town. Determined to get you things back, you left town with your friends (everyone else in this thread) to catch him and take back you stuff.
Although you never caught him, the day you came back an old man told you the robber's exact location. Puzzled by how the man could have possibly known, you decide to try and catch the theif there anyways.
When you and your friends caught up to him, he gave back your items without a fight. However, he begged you to spare his life, as a Centaur-mage named Conatarien was the theif's master, and the one who wanted the stolen goods.
Your friends and you decided that end end had to come to the Centaur-mage to prevent further problems. Unfortunately, the problems you will encounter along the way will be far worse and more dangerous than stolen goods...
