Here's an easy one for you guys:
What is the maximum number of units that a map can support?
I have heard that minerals and geysers count against this maximum, and i was wondering if doodads count towards this max. as well...
Thanks!

The max for units is 1700. Some will say 1650, but that is the limit in StarEdit, not Starcraft.
Doodads do not have a max unless it uses a sprite. Doodads that do not use a sprite are considered terrain. The max for sprites is also 1700 because a unit counts as a sprite. You can usually identify if the doodad uses a sprite by: 1) A unit can hide behind it or 2) the doodad is animated.

Actually I think it depends on what editor you are using, I cant remeber which one I was using when I was placing a lot of doodads, and it said that I had reached the max limit for doodads, which was like 250 or something around there. But other than that the rest that Stealthy is saying is correct.

X-Master2 is right it all really depends on what editor your using, for example if your using scxtra.... too many to count... but staredit can only do a mere 255 =(
