I have been thinking about how to get the Warboards SC modding community back on its feet and I know that people are becoming less and less interested in doing actual work and more into just wanting to play mods. So, I was thinking if someone started a Mod Request Thread where those of us with free time and the know how of modding SC could create mods and try to encourage people to continue modding.
Thoughts? Comments? Questions?
Please let me know what you think...
I can create mods, so ill help you :D

Thank you for your interest Kabam but it seems you are the only person who is willing to help. :(
(Isn't it ironic how almost all of my threads in the SC Depot usually die before they are even started? :P)

I'll help. SC and modding may be dying, but maybe this can keep it alive a while longer.

Scary, isn't it?
Anyways, the ideas that I have is a Terran Fort, which has a resource depot, gives 20 supply, can builds SCVs, marines, firebats, and medics, can lift-off, and has a laser cannon mounted on it. It would be pretty expensive, though.
My other idea is to add a ship called a Viper. It's a fighter from Escape Velocity Nova. It's fast, relatively cheap, weak, and has an ok blaster. I can even extract some graphics for it.

That sounds awesome! Make sure the mod is compatible with vanilla though, I don't like BW. :) And since it's a mod, y'all being like "yeah but BW units are better!" is no longer reasonable justification.

I was thinking Ion Cannon graphics, since it already has the cannon. In time, I could get the shot to fire from the actual cannon itself.

Okay, I have 3 ideas so Far please let me know what you think,
*ahem*
1: The Dominion Fleet (Terran Modification)
Changes mainly aircraft and various things like the Dropship now looks like a Battlecruiser but with no attack, The REAL Battlecruiser now has a reasonable Blast Cannon (not that whimpy Yamato cannon :P) and maybe now valkeries could bombard the ground with their rockets. Laso, the Starport will have "cooler" looking graphics and waious other stuff.
2: The Fenris Wars (Zerg modification)
Basically everything is stronger, more powerful, but also more expensive, (e.g. Hydra is now Hunter killer but take almost double minerals and gas, and almost double time to build.) The hive is now changed into an overmind with possibly mind control as an attack.
3: The Khala(i ?) Reborn (Protoss Modification)
Motly changes around the Templar units, the Nexus and the pylon buildings. The archon is now MUCH more powerful with a different attack (Psi storm), the Dark Archon can use its abilities for a cheaper energy cost, the high templar now has a Psi Attack (like tassadar) and we could add other stuff to the DT's and stuff later.
Those are just the basic ideas and are NOT in full detail so dont judge the mod ideas on what you see in those short paragraphs.
