The new Artemis fowl is out! Called "The Opal Deception", the inside flap reads:
after the last run in with the fairies, Artemis Fowl had his mind wiped of his memories of the world belowground. Aretemis is in Berlin preparing to steal a famously well-guarded painting from a german bank. Little does he know that his every move is being watched by his cunning old rival, Opal Koboi. The evil pixie has spendt the last year in a self-induced coma, plotting her revenge on all those who foiled her attempy to destroy the LEP recon fairy police. And artemis is at the top of her list. In a brilliant move, opal escapes by cloning herself and masquerading as a human in order to carry ou ther schemes. Her first act is to lure Captain holly short and Commander Root into a deadly trap. Her next step is to destroy artemis fowl to stop the human and fairy worlds from colliding-- only this time, Artemis faces an enemy who may have finally outsmarted him...

Yeah good series, haven't been looking for books too much lately, just finished the Resident Evil series of books my self. I even read some of his books that where not even about Artemis Fowl.

I uhhh . . think it sounds kinda stupid . . . fairy recon poelice? What the heck is up with this? This just sounds strange. Unless I'm proved wroung in the stupidity test, I think I'll pass on this book.

It's a great series! Sort of like the Thief Lord/Harry Potter/Some sort of Tom Clancy Book.

I though they ended at three because I never found anyone more...

I've only read the first two Artemis Fowl books, didn't know there was a third. I really liked them though, my favorite genre/setting has to be when magic mixes into the modern world.

Good books, I'd recommend them to everyone.

Its sounds corny at first... but you just have to read it, and it will make sense, and wont be as bad as you think.

The first book was great, I didn't like the second. It was way too cliché for my liking (author is in despair for good topic, so he goes with typical theme of good guys and arch-enemy joining forces to do away an even badder baddie, with the usual bickering about replaced by short touching scenes where the goodies and used-to-be-baddies are REALLY good friends), so I quit the series altogether. I suggest reading the first book, and the second, and continue only if you like the latter.

Harry Potter is much better, really.

Hmmm, maybe when I'm done reading my current book, I'll read that one.

The second book wasn't that bad. Personally, I've read better, but I've also read much^27 worse (quickly burns Tale of Two Cites and damns it to hell)

No way is it better than Harry Potter.

you're also forgetting to mention the recurring features in each book like:

-an impenetrable fortress of some sort which has to be breached
-the heroes hiring mulch diggums each time

i hope that the 4th book doesnt follow this also. if so, theres not much use reading it.

hey I got a question. is the fourth Artemis Fowl book called Artemis Fowl Files? or is that just something the author to go with the series?

Heh, Reading is awesome. TV is fur n00bs. When you read a book, you get much more content and understanding of the characters, unless you're a n00b, or you're just plain stupid. *Hint*Protogod*Hint*.

Books and radio are far superior to TV.

Because the pictures are better.

I love that quote, I'm going to have to find out who said it so I can submit that one.

AND, books last longer.
