My thoughts from an AIM convo that my friend didn't respond to. But I thought it would be appropriate to put here.
WeekendLazyness: people need to rise up against the RIAA
WeekendLazyness: of course
WeekendLazyness: it's been happening
WeekendLazyness: but
WeekendLazyness: only in limited numbers
WeekendLazyness: and it usually focuses on copyrighting and infringed songs
WeekendLazyness: these groups need to be unified under a different purpose
WeekendLazyness: to tell the RIAA that they don't control us
WeekendLazyness: and MPAA, for that matter
WeekendLazyness: we own the airwaves
WeekendLazyness: and those organizations have no right to tell us what devices we can tune into those airwaves with
WeekendLazyness: this is a capitalist economy
WeekendLazyness: it is a free economy
WeekendLazyness: you are free to fail
WeekendLazyness: frankly, i think it should be illegal what the RIAA and MPAA are doing
WeekendLazyness: telling the FCC what to do
WeekendLazyness: and suing their own customers
WeekendLazyness: it should really be the other way around
WeekendLazyness: in both cases
Your thoughts?
