IRC, Messangers... But Teamspeak?

I know it's a longshot, but for those of us with mic's, do you think we could ever get a Teamspeak server going? I know it sounds weird, but for some reason, I can't get IRC or anything else to ever work out here. However, most TS servers I can jump on...

My proposal is to get a TS server, and allow us here at WB to talk along with each other, rather than type... It'll be funnier, in my opinion ^.^

It's an interesting thought. ;) I just don't don't know the feasibility of the thing altogether. :confused:

Altough you'll have to convince me 1st into buying a mic' for that to happen... :smirk:

Hmm... sounds interesting. But honestly, how long do you think people can just keep talking for? Maximum of like 30 minutes. Sorry to be pessimistic, but I doubt this will work.

But with irc you can read those messages that pertain to what your discussing.

The ports are screwed. The ports for IRC are blocked, however, the ports to TS aren't. Supposedly *Quote that* something about virus' on IRC would infect our network and screw us... But TS is just fine... o.O

Sorry, this is kind of a revive, but I just found this thread.

I used TS with MP and Zelt not too long ago, and it works pretty well. The only problems are low quality mics and background noise (probably related to low quality mics).Other than that, I thought the chat was a success.

It really depends on who's talking as well. When I talk, apparently my mic's perfect, and there's no cut out. With sissy, though... She'll talk, and there's little cut outs every so often, probably due to a lower setting of 'pickup' on sound. If she turns it up, though, it picks everything she says up... So I just have to deal with it x.x

Hahahaa I do that with my headphones sometimes. Yeah I gotta get a mic but I'm definitely up for this teamspeak thing.

Got my headset working tonight (re: other thread). Well, I'm not 100% sure that it's working correctly, but I think it is. I'm up for some TS'ing or Ventrilo'ing any time :).
