I would think you usually dont get 'shot', per se, in the Air Force.. but dont fly in the wrong spot would make more sense.
Or hit the wrong button(s)

I've heard that a part time job in the armed forces is only 20 days per year. I've always thought of joining up myself because of that.

Duddits never really considered joining the armed forces. Mostly because Duddits should have absolutly no probelm getting a good scholarship with his credintials.

Strange, somone who lives by bible priciples would disregard the second person they believe most in by joining a army. If a war broke out, would you kill somone when it says in the bible "return your sword to it's place." and "return evil for evil to nobody"?

Alrighty ya'llz, I promised you peeps an explaination so here I go to explain
what exactly has led me to the Air Force Reserve :D
First off, I need money for college! Secondly, I wanna prove myself. I'm tired of ppl thinking that I'm not gonna go through with what I say!! I said back in high school that I was gonna join the Air Force. Ppl didn't believe me, and here I am doing it! They all say that I'm full of it and I don't understand why because I've never lied to them.....:( Thirdly, I wanna see the world! (If I get shipped over seas to Iraq or whatever :p)
Also, I'm tired of my mom saying that I'm not going anywhere--I wanna do something with my life so I can prove to my mom that I can do it! Also....Another small reason is so I can get out of the house and earn some income to move out faster. =D
I'm sure most of you who were with me back in BF1 remember all the times I was grounded for stupid ghettoness. As it is, I'm 18 and my mom grounded me from the computer for a week! :mad:
Well, I'm taking a hold of my life ya'llz. I'm doin' it! I'm crossing into the Blue baby! lolz
I thank you all for your well wishes. You guys are like another family to me, which is why I always tell you peeps about the major changes in my life =)
Oh and guess what you guys?? I just went to my recruiter's office today, and I got all my pamphlets and everything together. And now, all I gotta do is go take my ASVAB to get my job pinpointed for when I go to tech school.
I'm gonna be leaving after October of this year cuz in October I'm going to Peru for a missions trip with my youth group and I don't want anything to mess with that =D
So umm....Yeah! That about covers it! After I take my ASVAB, I go and sign my papers and I'm in! But they told me that I'm over weight requirement, so I gotta lose like 5-7 lbs before I go take my physical test. Which is no biggie to me!
Anywayz, I think that's about all the info I have for now......Oh btw, this reminds me....Where's FireAntz? I know that he joined the Air Force and it would be really bomb if I could tell him that I joined too! :D I should go find him, lolz.

I just remembered something...I'll be going to San Antonio, Texas for boot camp and tech school :D And it'll be about three months. So, after October, I'm gonna be gone for three months. Don't worry, I'll definately have a good bye thread or whatever, lolz :p

Actually, Scorch will be leaving sooner than I. He's going to the Marines and I'm going to the Air Force. We'll both be in two completely different states for a while.

Just to clear something up the Physical Training standards in the Air Force isn't nearly as high as that of the Navy, Army or Marines. Most of the time the mile and a half RUN will consist of riding on an exercise bike.
With that being said, I wish you the best of luck in the Military Pchicky. Perhaps you will take over the command of the Demon Knights when I retire, but that won't be anytime soon. :)

Several of my friends are in the military. I know of at least 4 in the AirForce, 5 in the Army, and 1 in the Navy...

Airforce, thats what I was thinking about going into. My bro's friend is already sighned up as a mechanic. He said he joined because he wanted to be able to pay for broad band and swg. Maybe he'll run into you :P.

I want nothing to do with him! I just ignored him.....But dang it would be wierd if I saw him again.....

Are you just taking their best suggestion from your armed services apptitude test, what sounded the most interesting to you, or what you think could give you the skills you want for a later career?
Do you plan to make the Air Force your career? Or solely use it to gain skills, and the cash needed to get your life started?
