What is a "Moogle"?

Ok, I have been holding this question to myself but lately I cannot keep it in! What is a "Moogle"? I see it every time NeoX posts but I have never been able to figure it out. I do not watch anime, I am not an anime fan, and if I could I would obliterate anime off the face of the earth because in my opinion it is just about as good as pokemon. (Which is pretty bad :P )

Sorry but my curiosity cannot be restained any longer... ;)

Uhh, Moogles aren't anime. They're a race from the Final Fantasy series. Not knowing who they are is practically blasphemy for any gamer!

The only FF game I've played is FFX, and I still haven't finished it. I'm almost done though.

Anyways, a chocobo, from my understanding, is like an enlarged chicken that you can ride / train. That's the best description I can think of... an enlarged, yellow chicken.

In Final Fantasy 6 there was a character named Mog who was a moogle and playable -- his specialty was "dancing" and was pretty cool to play as.

In the earlier final fantasies moogles existed but were a tad odd -- in one they were telepathic, in another they just looked funky (lol)

In Final Fantasy 7 the only moogles were one with the Choco/Mog summon and the Mog game in Golden Saucer.

In Final Fantasy 8 there was a Moogle summon ("Mog") but could only be used via a pocketstation, which never made it here in the US. Other then that there were no moogles

In FF9 moogles played a bigger roll -- took on different colors/types and personalities. They were also how you saved your game, and you also helped deliver mail to various moogles!

There was also a golden Moogle... forgot his name >_< But you meet him as you play through the game and if you gave him some gil youd get some nifty items. Eventually you can get ot a hidden place "MogNet" or whatever, these Moogles are the ones who are SUPPOSED to be deliverying mail for all the moogles, but thier machine broked. Anyways blah blah blah...

Moogles own you, phear.

And to base all anime on pokemon is retarded, besides believe it or not, there are quite a few anime shows on here in america -- from the "Fox Box" to Cartoon Network, even Nickolodean has been dabbling in it, as has the Disney channel -- though sometimes thats just the anime style rather then actual translated anime.

I didn't even know the word "Moogle" existed before today...hell, I have only heard of the game Final Fantasy a few times in my life and all I know is that its an RPG.

Also, NeoX, whats wrong with eating a Moogle? I've eaten some pretty interesting meats before and the Moogle looks like a drop in the bucket compared to what I have eaten.

Plus...I think Moogles would taste like Rabit...which is very tasty...like pie.

I couldn't believe it. THEY REMOVED THE WORLD MAP from FFX. I was pissed by that. plus, FFX had practically NO good side-quests/minigames to do at all. It had a good storyline, but it was killed by no world map, the lack of chocobos, and the no extra stuff. FFVII was the best FF ever. Storyline-Check. Minigames/SideQuests-Check. Chocobos-Check. Explorable World Map-Check.

Anyway, I thought everyone had heard of moogles. Coming from a game as popular as FF, I was thinking that everyone knew what they were. Appears as though I was wrong, and all who didn't know who liked RPGs, must not have liked RPGs as much as you thought...

FFVII was the best FF ever.I agree ^_^. The only other one I've heard people like a lot is FFIX, which I personally dislike.

I did like X though, it just lacked some cool stuff, which you already mentioned.

Although they are good mages, Nu Mou are probably better suited for that job. My main use for them was raising them as a Mog Knight for Mog Rush and Mog Attack and then switching them over to Gunner so you could use the Mog attacks at a range. That, combined with the status ailment attacks of the Gunner, is a deadly combination.
