For those who have been living in a cave for the past few years, Pamela Anderson has Hepatitis C, an incurable liver inflammation that is contracted by shared needles or other forums of blood to blood contact.
My question, do you find Pamela Anderson to still be as attractive as she was prior to the knowledge of her disease? Normally, the type of sexual attraction that one might have towards a woman of her type would be based on sexual thoughts or dreams. Large breasts, voluptuous lips and long flowing blonde hair.. these are characteristics that many males place upon their ideal woman, yet there is a tragic flaw, we could not conceivably be with this ideal woman, she is flawed from the inside with a virus that would prevent sexual intercourse for any man that doesn't wish to take the gamble. While hepatitis C is rarely transmitted during intercourse, it is still a definite possibility.
So with this factor known, and the obvious stigma attached to this woman, why do magazines continue to promote her as the most beautiful woman in the world? Why does she continue to pose for layouts, why are we expected to find this woman attractive anymore? Mind you, if this were a relation or my wife, I would stand by her side and love her no less, but as a distant sex symbol, I find her very unappealing in a sexual sense, all the while still recongnizing her to be extremely beautiful.
Does such a disease cause a woman to be any less sexual in your mind, or do you still drool just as you did prior to the knowledge of her infection? Mind you, this can be applied equally to men and women and with a variety of STD's, but for the sake of argument, I am using the example of Ms. Anderson.
Note: If you fail to find Pam to be attractive, this question doesn't apply to you.
