I'm selling a whole bunch of old stuff so I can save up for a PSP. Because I want one terribly bad. So I need you to tell me how much you think I could get off this stuff on ebay.

As far as I know all games work.

PS2 Games:

LotR - Third Age:
Has manual, and is in ok condition, just beat it so I know it works all the way through.

GTA San Andreas:
Good condition, a couple minor scratches, comes with manual.

Eighteen Wheelers:
No manual, case is in bad condition, CD condition: Ok.

Ratchet and Clank:
No manual, ok condition.

GameDay 2003:
CD is in ok condition, comes with manual.

Monster Rancher 3:
condition... pending... looks kinda ouch. Comes with manual.

GTA III:
Manual, condition pending, has name of a previous owner on cd and case.

Movies:

Van Helsing:
Practically brand spanking new, only watched like 4 times.

The One:
Case looks iffy, but cd is in good condition.

N64 and Games:

N64 w/ connections, has expansion inside it. Comes with 2 controllers, one of which is clear green-blue.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Zelda: Majora's Mask

WCW/nWo Revenge

Super Mario Smash bros.

Perfect Dark

Wave Race

Xena: Warrior Princess

(as far as I know all games work.)

Gameboy:

Gameboy Advance SP: not sure if my rentz will let me sell it, but it's blue, pretty much flawless except for some scratches on it... as well as some ink stains. Has link cable and recharge cord.

Dragon Warrior Monsters: Cobi's Journey

Pokemon Yellow

Pokemon Red

Pokemon Sapphire

Pokemon Gold

Knockout Kings

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

(all work, may have my save files and name on cartridge.)

Not much, unfortunately. I used to sell stuff on eBay regularly to help liquidate some of our items in the business that I run. Everything goes for much lower than you would expect.

I would recommend checking out eBay and searching for completed items. Get a general idea of how much each thing is selling for, etc.

ohhh nintendo games... if I had some money I'd buy your perfect dark game. I thought of something while reading your post. Before you put things up on ebay for sure, take them into a pawn shop... like the hock shop... ( i don't know what it would be called near you, but there is a chain of pawn shops called the hock shop by me. ) See how much money you could get from there and if you think it is a good enough amount, do it that way. This way there is less of a waiting process :)

Nice idea chibi, but the nearest place I can goto like that is 50 minutes away, needless to say we don't go there often... but I think I'll see what they'll give me first anyway ^_^

did you know you can sell Sapphire > $20 still!? (i checked ebay for gb games...)

And remember, if one of the bugs that PSP has been reported to have happens to you, you can sue Sony for 90 mil, just like that Immersion Software or whatever it's called.

It'll connect to your wireless network?! I knew I should have read up on it, even if it is a handheld. Grr...

Now I need to find out how much it costs and what I have to sell for it :P

Also, I might buy that Dragon Warrior Monster off of you. I played the original for hours, my alternative to Pokemon.

I also have sword of mana, forgot to list it... xD

but... PSPs are currently $250 I believe

I'll give someone all of the above for... $200! (a long shot I know, but someone out there must have some dough...)

I've heard report of the following:

1. Pressing on the Right pad button, or the Square button, results in you actually putting pressure on the TFT screen itself. If Sony had increased the size of the unit by a couple centimetres, this wouldn't be a problem.

2. UMD discs ejecting in the middle of play for no reason. This has been admitted by Sony to be a problem which they "would fix", but I have seen no mentions of a fix anywhere.

3. Occasional lock-ups. My guess is heat-related, since the UMDs actually spin much like a CDROM, generating heat and general chaos inside of such a small unit.

and while the first appears to be true, it doesn't matter if you're not trying to squeeze the lifeblood out of your device. and the other two i've yet to experience at all.

Feel free to argue here, and be sure to reveiw my posts and think twice before dishing out 250 bucks on a PSP

I'd like to note that BMB is extremely opinionated in this matter.
Hilariously so. ;)

I only did what i was taught long ago; I took a side (same on every single internet forum, and discussion in real life) and I have been defending and fighting for that side for the past couple months and I have repeated my arguement at least 8 times, so yes I am very opinionated on this.

I find opinions are grand -- but meaningless without equal understanding.
You make broad assumptions concerning PSP playability and useability.
And you also make large guesses at the quality of gameplay. The small collection of games I have on my PSP far outreach the quality of the DS games I have.

The PSP is a cell phone, correct? What services can sign onto one? And if Verison can, how much could I trade my phone in for? XD

PSP = Playstation Portable. Not so much a cellphone to my knowledge.

Edit: After research Sony's COO mentioned possible mobile phone support in the future.

GBA SP is still a pretty new item, isn't it? Dude, I don't know why you'd get rid of all that shit just some you can get some portable thing. Personally, I'd much rather have a console.

The PSP seems more like a console to me than a handheld because it uses *similar* graphics to the PSP, it has the same buttons, and therefore if it has the same graphics and the same controls and the same sound, how is it new? (other than physical size and new features unrelated to gameplay).

Sikawtic

It has bout the same graphics, if not better, than a PS2... and you can use it on the fly. PLUS it's a mp3 player and stuff...

The specs.

http://www.us.playstation.com/psp/games.aspx?all

The games (I want Dynasty warriors, Untold Legends, and Twisted metal atm.)

Absath had a good opinion on the whole PSP vs DS matter, but today he took it down sadly... damn his blog to hell. I'll search my IM files for it....

EDIT: hermph... apparently my cpu isn't saving them (we killed it a couple days ago)... must have not checked that thing... here's the article, but what I can remember in my head:

"To me, the PSP is like a 7 course dinner at a fancy resteraunt. The DS is like half a chip you find when you roll over a sleeping homeless guy... The PSP had 6 games I wanted to own immediately, as DS only had 2 good games, both of which didn't utilize the graphical capabilities of the DS and were just remakes of 10+ year old games"

Or something like that... ask GD if he happens to have the more accurate version...

^_^

Of course, I log all of my chats :)

Let me put it to you like this. The PSP is a full seven course dinner at the fanciest ballroom overlooking New York City, and the Nintendo DS is a lint-covered potato chip that you found in a gutter after you rolled a homeless person over. That may sound harsh to you, but that's the way I see it. With the ability to play movies, music, store photos, and play games, (at least 6 of them at launch that I wanted to own) versus the Nintendo DS and its two games at launch worth even going near (one of which is a bad port of a 10+ year old game, and the other which doesn't even use the graphical power of the DS) the choice is pretty obvious.

Basically the same thing.

Come on hammock, that's a dumb question. That's like asking "why do you need your computer". These are necessities of life.

Valjean

I thought people needed computers because the internet is a resourse that you cannot be without. A handheld is not something essential for getting by in everyday life. In some causes, the internet is vital. In most essays and projects my school does, the only time we use books anymore is when it's a requirment. I'm frankly not sure how I'd get through life without the internet sometimes. And when out of school, depending on your line of work, like if you work at a white collar job, the internet is still useful.
