I personally find that I enjoy using Gmail a lot more than Hotmail. It took me a little while to get on the Gmail bandwagon, but after I did I didn't look back.

Hah... this rocks... gmail is awesome. The only reason i don't use it more often is because most of the people i know are stubborn and just keep sending me things to my yahoo email address, which is bogged down with spam.

You can also get an invite from the Gmail Invite Spooler (http://isnoop.net/gmail/). They currently have about 700,000 invites available.

I use my own custom POP3 e-mail, so I never jumped on to the Gmail bandwagon. I guess if I ever need it in the future, I'll get an invite or something.

What's so different about Gmail that makes it so much better (besides the storage)?

It's very clean, easy to use, comes with the GMail Notifier, autothreads replies and sent messages, has the capability to search email, has the best spam protection I've seen, automatically saves email addresses (allowing you to simply type in the first few letters of any email you've typed before and click the name to finish the typing for you) . . .

Hmm, I'm sure there's more, but those are a few of the perks.

And thats why they are giving that much space, because they know that hardly anybody uses that much space.

I think it just keeps going up. Mines over 2 gigs now, who knows when it will stop.

It's simple, uncluttered, you can store EVERY message you've every recieved. Gmail is good.
