I normally dislike users who just post links to news stories. but.. wow. this is getting ridiculous, i had to reread this article more than once before I took it all in.

Absolutely disgraceful. I have never been able to understand how some humans have the ability to kill each other. What an arsehole...

That is incredible. First off, he was a little old for her, I think. He shouldn't be suprised that he was refused on that very basis. Secondly...jeez, get over it. You didn't get a kiss. There are greater tragedies in world. He caused one.

His concious / thoughts were blured by the fact he wasn't taking his pills and that he was smoking marijuana. However, why he had a gun I have no idea. It's a tradgedy and it's always the worst when it's someone so young.

I think Chris Rock was smart, $5000 a bullet would be a good idea...

Meh.

Im tempted to say big deal, sort of.

How in the fuck did he get a gun? If hes got Mental Problems, and no longer taking medication, drinks, and smokes pot, and gets a gun and people wonder how it happened?

Oh well, 2 lives destroyed, hers, and his since most likely he will end up prison for life, or will live the rest of his life fucked up, and depressed etc... That or he really is insane and doesnt care.

Its sad this happened, and kinda screwed up, but why the hell would you push someone away who was POINTING A GUN AT YOU? I dont care who you are, but as soon as you point a gun at me, I am pretty much ready to you know, not get shot and will probably do anything you asked.

This is atrocious . . .

why the hell would you push someone away who was POINTING A GUN AT YOU?

I was thinking the same thing . . . two times she pushed it away and said no. In no way do I condone the behaviour of that young man, but that girl perhaps should have weighed the value of her life with the value of a simple kiss.

Seems to me that something more might've been going on.

The world is messed up. But remeber, the guy was messed up too...He didn't have his meds. Like I get all spam-like without my Zoloft. Anyway, that girl should defintely have not pushed the gun away.
Think. If someone is pointing a friggin' loaded pistol on you, do you think they're joking? She LAUGHS and then PUSHES it away. The least she could do is try and reason with him. It's just kiss...I guess. No sane person shoots over a kiss. But I guess he's not sane. And I guess a kiss means a lot to someone. I don't know cause I'm only 13.

Some people, especially in the United States, grew up learning about the values and virtues of life, and life itself pales in comparison. Pride is also a major factor in this, and the girl simply refuses to give up what she believes is right. Either that or she did not comprehend that he was not joking. But these kind of things happen all the time, so I'm not THAT suprised.

Yah you shouldn't push and laugh at someone pointing a revolver. But still, wow, guess he was realy not healthy (realy not right in the head) he's 40 and she was only 15.

Seems to me that something more might've been going on.
Yah your right, it was probely about something more than a kiss. Who wittnessed the killing anyway? Or did i not just read the article proberly?

I concur with the mother. This just does'nt make sense that he would kill her after being rejected I guess. Of course, looking at humanity's record, I can't say imm entirely surprised. The business of stepping out your front door is getting more and more dangerous every day. It's a serious question why she should had to of been forced to accept him or die. That sucks ass.........

I call them sorely in need of being hung, drawn and quatered.

Mental unhealth (is that a real word?) is no excuse.

Jesus me, some things really take the piss. This is one more reason I am against public ownership of hanguns.

I really shouldnt say that on a predominently american forum but there you go.....

When she doesn't want to do something, she doesn't want to do something...

Well.. If he had asked me to kiss him... I would have kicked him in the nuts and called him gay.

Seriously, I think that if people get drugged up that badly, they shouldn't have possetion of a gun, or at least after he says "you're going to be mine or you're going to be dead" Then that's something to talk to someone about... Someone who can take away his gun...

Serious mental issues...

Give him the kiss, walk away, grab a shotgun and then duel him. Old western ideals... :)

You're right. Humanity has a bad track record. Today I was paying my school library fines and the librarian was like, "OH MY GOD! Someone just paid their library fines! It just restores my faith in humanity that not everyone is dishonest."

And I'm like, "I'm a man of word."
But I was thinking, "The door 30 feet away. If I run at 3 feet a second, can I get there before she yells after me..."

She probably was desensitized to violence so it didn't really affect her. From reading that article it sounds like they have a rough life. Drugs, alcohol, weapons, and jail are probably a part of their normal lives. I don't find it THAT shocking as you guys seem to, because people have been killed over more worthless reasons that this.

A pensioner got shot in Liverpool for 50p if I remember correctly (A bit less than a dollar in your money)

And of course, people have been shot for no reason at all.
