Should AVP have been rated R or kept PG-13. I say R all the movie way could have been much better >.<

i think pg13 was enough i dont see how it would have been better if it had been rated r. i liked it better than the alien and preditor movies.

I didnt, simply because the plot was, well, a bit crap to be honest. It had lots of humourous dicings and guys with pulse-rifles in suitcases. And a face hugger getting sliced in half mid-jump. and lots of other cool stuff. But they could have done so much more plot wise. It could have been great rather than good.

and the queen should have killed both whatshername and mr pred rather sharpish.

oh, and how the hell was Weyland still alive for alien3?

Unless he was cloned and I didnt notice.

I agree with Singo, there wasn't much of a plot. The special effects and some of the scenes were really cool though. I thought PG-13 was a fine rating.

I agree. They dropped the f-bomb 3 times, and also, im sure decapitaion and mutilation, bloodspatter and gore should count to.

Eh, OK maybe i didnt word it clearly enough >.< What I meant to ask was...Do you think AVP would have been better if Paul Anderson had made it to be a R movie with more blood, gore, fighting. James Cameron's Trilogy (Alien, Aliens, Aliens 3) were all rated R and they were all better then AVP because there was more action.

YES. AVP was boring as shit; more blood, fighting, cussing would have made it better.

More of those great pulserifles coming out of empty suitcases bits, that was sweet the way the fake case just dropped away and he was suddenly holding a big gun :P

And shouldnt the alien blood the pred used to etch stuff on his mask/ the womans face have melted it/her?, come on, a tiny spurt in alien went through a whole load of steel decks on the Nostramo And in aliens it got weaker still, barely getting through some lightweight body armour. and now it can be applied directly to someones face leaving only a small scar! Why has it been getting weaker throughout the films?
