For those of you who don't know, my wife has recently been graced with a couple of extra roles in some local movies here in Tampa. First it was "the Punisher" several months ago, and yesterday she shot a scene for a movie called Unearthed (http://www.pheromonefilms.com/UE_HOME.html). Yesterday, the scene she shot was a lobby gun shootout, where her part involved falling to the ground and being dragged away in a hail of gunfire. I was half asleep when she was telling me this, so I don't have all the details yet, but apparently the movie will be on DVD this Summer in blockbuster, so I expect everyone here to rent the DVD for the sole purpose of furthering my wife's career. :p

She's talking to an agent today, I fear I may have a problem on my hands. :\


Edit: And on an interesting side note, she filmed an Izuzu commercial over the weekend. It was only a crowd scene, but something for her "film" resume, nonetheless.

And to answer you Hammocksleeper, I haven't asked to be present at either of the shoots, primarily since most of the time is spent waiting for the scenes, and only a small percentage of time is spent actually shooting. I would doubt I could go anyway, it's not as if my wife rates as a celebrity or anything, so I doubt she would get any special treatment. As for the pictures, she's getting headshots back tonight, and I might be able to upload one of those soon.

And at her bequest, I might create an online resume for her, in which case you could follow her jobs online. She's already talking to a manager, things are moving fast for her, I only hope she doesn't get burned. The acting scene can be brutal from what I hear.

Well said Carnage. I've tried to make certain that she maintains a well rounded perspective, and I've been playing devil's advocate alot lately. And as much as it upsets her at times, I think it will help in the long run for the impending bumps in the road that most actors endure. She says she's just having fun, but I know better. ;)

Wow, my wife just called me from Daytona Beach, she was auditioning for a part in an HBo pilot series, and she got it!!!! I can't really believe it, but she called me minutes ago and said it as plain as day. It's still a pilot, so it would still need to be picked up by HBO officially, but who knows?

This is a speaking role, completely different than extra roles that she had done, so this is truly exciting!
