I know we have this over at BF but it seems to be lacking over here. This thread is for anything and everything about guitar. Ask for advice, help, opinions, whatever. We can also share cool tabs and whatnot as well. To start it all off, what guitar/amp do you use? Pics would be great :).

DC's Note: Now all we need is Glorfingers (Lord Glorfindel) and this thread would be all set. ;)

My guitars:
*The white one with the silver pick guard is my beauty. It's no longer made in Canada, and was the only one I could find in this area (quite literally all of Southern Ontario :P, I looked around). I think she was something like AES-500, but I'm really not sure on that one.
*The red one is my first guitar. It's a Fender Squire Mini (I started when I was young, so my dad wanted something I could easily wrap my hands around).
*The acoustic is a Yamaha DW-7, which I just picked up recently. The DW series are known for their great sound, and the DW-7 was one of the best builds ( I was going to go for DW-9, but I couldn't find one).

*The amp there is a Yamaha DG-60 electric amp, and ahhh, she just sounds so damned nice :D. It's got 2 channels, 8 different presets and lots of other goodies.
*The pedal is a Dunlop Crybaby, model 95Q. It's (IMHO) one of the best wah pedals you can find these days.

My stool looks exactly like yours :). I'll get a picture of my guitars soon. I see you have your sax in that pic as well...maybe I'll go break out my flute and throw that in the picture as well.

Hahaha, guitarist/flutist, eh? ;). I would never be able to play the flute :tu:. When the flutes in my school band play really high (with the piccolo too), I just about die, and I'm at the other end of the room. Of course, the flutes at my school aren't exactly . . . how should I say this . . . very good?

I played it in 5th-8th grade but I quit before my 9th grade year. I actually pulled it out of it's case a few weeks ago and tried to play it. Surprisingly, I was still pretty good. I should practice it more often...always helpful to know how to play more than one instrument :).

No. Not him that is the last person we need on this board.

Ok back on topic. I don't have a guitar but my sister has an acousitc one. I would like to learn to play but looks to complicated for me. I'm not good with my hands (besides when playing Gamecube and uh jac... shouldn't talk about that).

It's all about practice. It doesn't matter if you're good with your hands or not. If you have the motivation and the patience, you can play guitar.

OMFG DOUBLE POST.

Here are "my" guitars. Black Strat is mine. Red Strat is my dad's that he never plays so I have claimed as mine. The acoustic is an Aspen my dad had when he was in high school. Sounds real good. The black Washburn Bass is my brother's.

Duddits never was much of a guitar player. He still has yet to learn any of the cords (Well, he did learn one... but that was in about 6th grade, he thinks.)

Oooh, ooh, which chord? E minor? A? ;)

I say those two, because those are the ones where you can just press your finger down onto the fretboard (2 strings for E minor, 3 for A), and just give'er.

Guitars only? How about some percussion here too??? :D

Nah, then I would be obligated to post a pic of my n00blarish drum set.

Never got the inclination to pick up guitar...

Duddits believes that it was A. Duddits remembered playing part of Iron Man by Black Sabbath once. Duddits doesn't remember how to play it any more though.

Guess he'll have to get into guitars once again once he has the money to buy one :( (Gogo ebay!)

we have one cd out, but the other guys in the band recorded it brfore either myself, or the bassist joined, so it sounds nothing like we do now, and i really can't claim any of it as my own. we still play a few songs off it, but we reworked alot of them to fit the new lineup. we're heading back into the studio late summer/early fall for our next project :D

we have a website, i'm almost positive it's set as my homepage, and you can download mp3's from the site, keep in mind they come from the album the other 3 guys recorded 3 years ago or so.
