New siggy and avy symposium?

I think there needs to be a new siggy and avy symposium made, the old one is out dated, and the first post that has everyone's requirments hasn't been updated in so long.
I would even be willing to take on the hassel of getting and organizing all the people's skills requirments ect and aranging/posting them.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't think we need a NEW thread concerning the symposium.
Sure, it might be outdated and inactive but that's just because the fella taking care of it *glares evily at OboeGuru* is... well... inactive.
I'd suggest appointing a new mod to take control of the symposium. I was thinking maybe Black.Ice, cos he was a judge in the 2004 image contest. Although, last time I saw him he was having trouble with Real life eating him or something o_O. Schwitzer maybe? or hammock. He's really active from what I've seen.

Dunno... now we [we as in Zelt and I] must ponder O_o

What do you want? Gather the information and I'm sure, someone would be glad to update the first post. Is that the only change you need? And Oboe's around...I do miss him though :)

For all those that don't think too highly of their Photoshop skills, or don't have any at all, here is your saving grace.

This thread is for the requesting and posting of signature and avatar images.

Please try to keep discussion concerning the fine details of final images to PMs etc., but by all means post stocks you want included in your final image here. That way, multiple artists can try their hand at whatever you're requesting, and you can select what you like best.

Please include the following information when you make a request:

Artist: Although this isn't mandatory, you may request a certain artist(s). This does not, however, guarantee that they will make something for you.

Colors/Tone: To help the artist(s) out, please state what colors you would like you image to be based on, or what sort of mood/tone you would like it to reflect.

Pictures/Stocks: If you would like pictures of certain things, or even specific pictures, make sure you make a note of that. Post a link to any and all stocks you wish to have included. Also state which ones are more imporant to have in case the artist must omit something.

Text/Font: Perhaps one of the most important parts, is what text you want, and where you want it. If you don't care, say so. If you want a certain type of font, make sure you say what it is, or if you want a specific font, provide a link to it.

Border/Effects: Be sure to declare if you want a certain style/color/size of border and what (if any) effects you would like (i.e. lens flare, scan lines, blur, motion, gradients).

Size: By all means give some sort of pixel size restriction if you want it an exact size or no bigger than a certain size. Remember that the limit is 500x125 pixels and close to but not to much over 25KB in filesize.

Not so good with requests that are extremly demanding, ex if you said i want this guy standiing over with this axe(separate), trying to cut this person's head off

Artist: Who gets to this 1st, actually (team or not, it won't matter to me). I know that someone above mentioned is about to start me a new avy but... :angel: while he doesn't, I'll put this here.
Don't have many free time to poke around my PhotoShop 8 to pull it off on my own, so that's the real source of my request.

Text/Font n' Border/SFX: The drawing board is yours afterall... *Winks at everybody* aka free will to develop any personal concept / description he or she wants to.

Size: Preferably to fit the WB's system for avy sizes. *Cough*Obvious*Cough* :smirk:

Extra request(s): My fav colours are dark green and perhaps now orange (from wich I've got grown fond of due to my ol' avy using it constrasting to the WB's white theme). You can use any colour you want to but I prefered a contrast maybe between those 2. :)

I haven't received PMs about adding people to the list for many, many months, And as I type this, I realize I never specified that to be added to the list, I should be PMed with information. Perhaps it would be best to start anew.

I realize I haven't been active lately, but now I'm (comparatively) free as a bird. With any luck, things'll start happening again. I've got some ideas on how to improve the [crappy] set-up I originally made, so let's just wait and see how that pans out, k?

Note for the future: something as big as the Sig/Avy Symposium, it's best not take on the task independantly without staff support. As much as it's great to have everyone involved int he community, an element such as this should/needs to be staff-managed.
