View Full Version : How to kill bsers?

Well I just got double bsed. 1 had massive battlecrusiers and 1 had massive wraiths. They are from a bsing clan. I had massive turrets all throught my base as well as wraiths. They took it out in a few seconds... What should I do?

Well, you're implying that you were playing on a money map (massive bcs, wraiths, and turrets). If not, forgive me, but the word "massive" used quantitatively shouts "MONEY MAP BEWARE" in my face.
Well, from the information you gave, all you have to do is cloak your wraiths and kill them.
Also, if you know they're a bsing clan, why play them?

I was playing Fastest Possible Map Ever. They had detectors. They said 95% of the way throught the game "I thought --- was our clan name."
I had about 130 units, a small amount of marines, some wraith, some vultures, and a few battlecrusiers. They yamahoto gun killed me.

Well, the simple truth is that you can't unless they do something very stupid. Like fly over you base repeatedly without attacking. Tough luck, man. Some advice: find better games in the future.

Protoss have some anti-BC maneuvers. They can go mass-Dark archon and psi the enemy battlecruisers. Or keep them in stasis field with Arbiters. Or destroy them with Templar's psionic storm...be careful about vessels shooting EMP missiles though.
Terran vs Terran is like any mirror match. The smartest player will win...
start teching to BCs too, and get a whole valk fleet with you. Lockdown the battlecruisers with ghosts (though Medics can restore them)
If you have your BC fleet fighting against another enemy BC fleet, always make all the battlecruisers under your control shoot at the same target. Do not make them "hold position" because every cruiser will shoot at a different target; thus you will lose time and the enemy will eventually destroy more of your battlecruisers than you've got to destroy his.

First off.....Money Maps suck. They take no skill and all it is is basically massing 1 strong unit and fully upgrading it.Second dont play comp stomp games bsers like to join Comp stomp games to bs the newbs for easy win....Just play BW non money maps...BGH is a money map but it has less space.

First off, If you join a money map and you get BSed by someone with BC's in mass, odds are you will lose. First of all, you don't expect it so they have surprise. Second, if you don't prepare for BC mass, you can get your ass owned. Even if you had managed to completly own their forces, odds are, they had a enough starports to rebuild their army in short time. By the time you were ready to attack on of their bases, you might go and match them, and kill then, but then the other guy would come in and walk through your base.
One very fucking nasty trick to winning at money maps, is simply to build tons of factories and max the sprite limit before other players can build. It drains the fun out of the game and disables yoru opponents. I hate this. My suggestion is to avoid maps with unlimited money right next to your base in a happy little box. People who BS on those maps spend all their time learning how, and quite honestly, its a pretty fucking pathetic waste of time.
The only matches of SC that will matter to most people officially, are not money maps anyways, so don't dull your skill playing them. It is not how the game was designed for, it is not used by anyone but backstabbers who have nothing better to do than fight a worthless cause, and the n00bs they BS. It just ruins your ability to play normal SC, which is so much more fun anyways, than a type of SC that is filled with idiots. Don't play them, it's not worth it.
Now that the lecture is over, back on topic. If you are asking how to stop BSers in general, then you will have to keep a close eye on them. As mentioned, BSers like to hang out on maps that are easy to own, meaning once they get down an easy stratagy of winning, they just keep doing it. Although you could just download a common hack known as Ally Alert, someone may try and report you for it. (Even though it's only fucking fair in my opinion. Think about it. In Diablo 2, when an ally goes hostile on you, your alliance is automaticly set accordingly for you. In SC it is not.<at least the last time I checked, I can't recall playing and getting BSed since about 1.10>)
Beware, when your ally starts to be building units that are a direct counter for what you are building.
Beware, of allies who talk very little, and don't take part in discussions when you are trying to plan your stratagy, or don't reply to you when you talk to them, even though they are clearly still at their computer.
Beware, of allies who state they will build a defense for you, or start building military buildings in your base such as turrets, pylons, or factories. Nydus cannals are a bit of a draw sometimes.....Beware of them nonetheless, just to be on the safe side. If you ally offers to exchange nydus cannals, and you have any suspcion whatsoever about him/her, respectufullyand pollitely decline.
Beware, of letting your ally know you are onto his/her BSing. If you realize he or she will probably BS, try to act like you still have no clue. Then when they count on the element of surprise to kill you, shut them down for it.
Beware, and never let your ally near yoru resource nodes, unless they are someone you trust with the very victory of the current map scenario.
That's all I can think of for right now. If you want, just go play some money maps, while in the title posting, "COMP STOMP, NO BSING" This pretty much invites nearly the entire 6 other people to try and bs each other. I don't think many BSers would be able to resist something along these lines. In which case, spend time to try and study other people as they try and backstab you. Observe their actions and make a log or something.

Just like Red said, don't play on money maps.
UNLESS, your planning to do weird experiments like what some of my friends and I do where we piss off other players by harrasing them with six man marine squads on stims.
Annoys the hell out of people...of course they come back later and bring all HELL ontop of your head, but its the only way to acctually do something intresting on a money map.

Bsing, eh?
Well, the first best way is early-warning. That usually means this :) .
When someone bses, yell on everyone.
BS!!! I HAVE (Color) BSING HERE! LETS ALL KILL HIM. HELP! COME ON!
Yea, anyway, when someing is bsing, don't just stand there. Don't say, "Not my problem!" and hole yourself up in your base. Persuade EVERYONE too attack the bser. The more, the merrier.
Let's play a RP with this situation.
3v3 Fastest Map (Don't play this...)
You all have massed armies. All have defenses. No clue as too who might be a bser. Usually, noobs aren't bsers but that doesn't help here. Well, let's say one of you team member, Teal, runs his troops into your other allies base, Orange. You should be on your guard. Don't make any threatening moves but be prepared. Let's say we start with a plot twist :) Orange bses Teal because he was planning to anyway and Teal provides the perfect set-up. Now who is at fault?
Well, teal did not make any threatening moves and Orange attack without warning.
First Step: Negotiating
1. Try to stop the bs. If Ornage felt threatened, tell Teal to move and Orange to stop. Same if a team member starts attacking for no reason. Try to stop it. If it doesn't work, to step 2.
Second Step: Alerting
1. By now, all your team members should now about this. Not too hard here but if you're playing 7v1 comp stomp.
2. Try not to alert your enemies too much before this. They might take advantage of it. If orange does not stop or gives no good reason, alert EVERYONE. Even your enemies. Most people on Starcraft are honorable and will consider a team-up to destroy a bser. Ally everyone and consider taking down Orange.
3. If Teal's base is being attacked, go to 3A. If it is just his forces but Orange has shown no signs of stopping, go to 3B. If Orange leaves the forces alone when they go out of his base, go to 3C.
3A Saving
1. This is the most dangerous part. It means Orange is actively bsing, with no restraints. As soona s possible, save Teal and strike at Orange. Don't waste all of your forces on some pointless assualt. Plan it carefully and first destroy Orange's force and then at his base. Usually, bsers would have some defense and ask the Terrans to siege tank. To practice at this, play UMS Phantom.
3B Stalemate
1. Tell Teal to pull out and everyone attacks Orange. If Orange repents, then let him off.
3C Reconciliation
1. Try to restore order. Ask your opponents for a relief while Teal rebuilds and try to make a normal game. Be on your guard against Orange but play normally.
Well, there you have it a step-by step. A flow chart? of how to defend against Bsers.

**Well, in fastest map possible, it was 4v4 computers. All of my allies were noobs, I was killing all the computers players by myself, on the last computer base, I said "Should I do it?". Someone
replied "Ya". So I did do it. I backstabe them, XP. (I think they thought for me to kill the last
computer, lol). I mass them all with goliaths and siege tanks. I thought in backstabing them, they
would play better, lol, they didnt, they were still noobs. But on the last guy, he had bunkers and
seige tanks on his enterance. So I decied to go battlecruisers. He built Wraiths and Valks, the game
took about <1:20 hours. Anyways I killed him, maybe becouse he kept nuking his bas on accident.**
Anyways, thanks for listening to my stupid but (umm, the kind of stories you learn stuff from). If u read all that, you wasted 30 secounds of you life.
-My point: Always be prepaired to unally. Look for any suspicouse activity. NEVER LET YOUR FRIEND HELP YOU BUILD DEFENCE AROUND YOUR BASE, its not really a defense to them, more like a sneak attack. Bring at least one unit to his base, if it dies, it could mean he unallied you. Unallie ure allie when he doesnt want you to show him his 'allie vision'. *When eneimies dont attack him.*
-Beware:
Most back stabers have wierd names like "91019201" or "hshshshs" or anything else that might be sapicious. Most backstabers would creat a new account to not ruin his reputation of his original one.
Beware of backstabing clans.
You can take my advice as an x-backstaber.

Next time be P and use HTs Psi storm on them it kills BTs very very fast as long as ther in the area which they usually are.

as long as ther in the area which they usually are.
Which is why people have resorted to using multiple forces in coordination to attack with one being a simple decoy force so they waste the firepower.
Ugghh...I hate it when that happens...or when it did happen. Hey Chris, if you don't want to get B.Sed just resort to the very very fun "Use Map Settings" games.

What i do is just turn off ally victory then mass up to 200/200 and protect myself. after 10 minutes everyone was attacking everyone i didnt save the replay but it was 2 years ago. if you want ill do it again

logically speaking...it's almost impossible to win in a bs situation...just think about it...people are doing twice(or more) the micro and having twice(or more) the units you have...how could you possibly win? Say you mass bc...for them, all they have to do is mass wraiths/golis. Say u mass tanks, becuz it's ground war. too bad, they still win, becuase they have twice as many tanks as u do. the other thing is that ur economy would be VERY unstable, supposedly if ur expos are being constantly harrassed by either player. so, if u get bsed, ur dead.

((Long Talk))
If I were to witness Teal having toops in Orange's base, I would immdeailty tell him to remove them, if he doesn't I would allow orange to fire away, and try to gang up on Teal. In most of the BSs I experienced, it is the person who sends troops into the other person's base and doesn't fire.

Yes yes, I know, thread nirvana. But I had to bring this point up. Me and two friends went on B.net to look for bsers to bs. So I started up a couple games of COMP STOMP, NO BSING, specifically knowing that it would attract bsers from miles (=.=') around. Of course, somewhere in our third game, something was....wrong.. The comp was killed, but we didn't win. That's when the three of us knew something was up. Sure enouh, two players who must have planned this together, began bsing another allied player who wasn't in our group. So the three of us immediately stormed through their base instead of meandering around. I have to tell you, that felt good bsing bsers.

I backstab, :P I'll tell you what we do so you can avoid being backstabbed as much.
Fastest is the best map to backstab people on, it's so easy to make a huge amount of buildings and sit there churning out an army with yuor 30 StarPorts or Factories. BGH is the second best map because it still has a lot of resources, and you won't find people who are incredibly experienced on it that often, they prefer LT or Requiem because they're better maps and more fun with a 1v1.
Next, there are two classes of backstabbers. You have the ruthless experienced kind, and the fasle newb who owns your ass and talks like an idiot. Not all backstabbers are quiet. Many of them will pretend to be a newb at the game and claim they are killing the computer whn they are attacking people. Many people are reluctant to attack someone who pretends to be a newb because they think that person really is. Either way, look for someone who accuses you of hacking their latency when the latency is set, or doesn't help fight the enemy and says nothing; just makes counter units.
Playing in a 7v1 map is like saying "I'm playing a rigged game to get my record up, please someone come and whoop my ass when I'm not expecting it so I can swear at you and accuse you of hacking!" 7v1, 6v2, or 5v3 (compstomps) are where you get the most backstabebrs. it's so much easier when you don't have to worry about an experienced enemy threatening you, you just have a computer and don't have to worry much while playing that you'll get owned by an enemy. Naturally you also get backstabs in team games, but that's not as often. a 4v4 or 3v3 on Fastest will get some backstabbers. I recommend playing on legit maps, or at elast BGH with people if you want to avoid backstabs in non-compstomp games.
Be aware of stupid behavior that disadvantages you. If an Enginerring Bay is sitting above your mineral area so you can't tell mroe workers to mine resources, that's a good way to cripple someone's economy if they do nothing about it (works way better in fastest because you only need one building to block resources). Someone who does that is probably backstabbing. Also, if someone is upgrading Science vessels and making nukes, they are going to be likely backstabers. Noone uses Science Vessels and nukes against a computer, but they're great for taking out peoples' main command buildings; especially Protoss because you can EMP. Always have cloak detection in the mid and late game. I can't tell you how easy it sometimes is to drop 5 Ghosts ino someone's base and obliterate it because they didn't have any way to stop it.
When someone is backstabbing, flaming them will not help. When you're backstabbing someone and they try to insult your mother, it is so easy to laugh at them. Act respectfully, say things like "Damn, wasn't expecting that blue" or ":(, was a fun game for a while at least." If the backstabber has any respect, they'll let you live and continue to annihilate everyone else. Why do you think backstabbers backstab? It's fun!, flaming a backstabber only makes it more fun for them, it won't do anything. By insulting your mother, you aren't going to have the backstabber say "Oh, I'll ally you guys, I'm sorry; let me go cry in my room now."
Hope that helps you.
