Yea! We finally have an A&E thing over here! Duddits will spend much time here once it gets some threads in it. Yea! Thanks you however did this, Duddits is much happy!
Just so this is a non-spammish thread: Mettalica is God. Agree or disagree?
Metallica is good. The main thing keeping me away from this board originally was the lack of an A&E forum. Now that there is one, I feel much more at home. :)

The only real reason Duddits never got into A&E at BF was it was too far away from the link to CC. Duddits actually had to scroll the page to get to A&E. Lazy... maybe.
That St. Anger cd they just came out with was crap, wasn't it? The main song on it (St. Anger) wasn't even that good. Enter Sandman is one of Duddits' favorite songs though.

Ahh, it feels so good to stretch out in a new forum!
So . . . are we going to move the "What are you listening to thread?" over here?
Edit: Yeah, I was really disappointed with St. Anger.
In my honest opinion, their best album was Master of Puppets.

Old Metallica is awesome. Newer Metallica sounds like all the other nu-metal crap of the moment.
You know the real reason you didn't come to A&E was because you were afraid of me :).
Wootage! A&E! My favorite form at BF is now here. I love it. Now Metallica is good. Enter Sandman is one of my favorite songs ever. But there stuff can get annoying. I don't like 2 2 minute guitar sols. Oh well...

Are you kidding?! The 22 minute guitar solos are what MADE Metallica! I mean, just look at the multitude of great solos in Sanitarium alone! :D

you're welcome.
:D
Lol... more people are in here at the moment then at the ML. Funny stuff.
Anyway, I didn't like the 22 minutes guitar solo's too much either. It got annoying after about the first 8 or 9 minutes. I can't stand songs that are longer than 10 minutes. The main reason why I don't like a lot of Led Zeppilin's songs are because they are so long (Stairway to Heaven is awsome though).
I can't stand a song that is long just for the sake of being long. However, if a song is long but is very dynamic and interesting, I don't even realize how long it is. Usually I'm dissappointed when it ends :).

Mmm, yeah I generally like the long ones. Just look at Radiohead's Paranoid Android . . . <3 <3, I could honestly never get enough of that song!
I will, however, admit that Metallica does sometimes . . . well, often times overdo it :P. It's just their style though.

Personally I liked St. Anger better than Load and Reload. Don't get me wrong, Load and Reload were good, but it was more like Metallica had gotten whooped after the Black album and were basically going back to their roots of being the angry metal band they were back in the 80's.

I agree, in the sense that I like how they're kind of going back to their roots. However, musically, I think the album was really not-so-good.
It just seemed like every song had a great start - something really catchy that worked well with me. Then after the first 30 seconds of the song, it went into the same, repetitive sounding stuff that they always produce. The songs just got worse and worse as I listened to them. Meh, I don't know :P.

Duddits has never personally heard the Black album, but has also heard many good things. He has Metallica, Master of Puppet, ...And Justice For All, Lock and Reload, and St. Anger. By far, the latter two were the most dissappointing.

The Black album was released in 1992 (I believe) about a year or two after "...And Justice For All."

Ahh... I'll see if any of Duddits' friends has the CD and will burn it probably.
What is that other awsome Mettalica song... It's stuck in Duddits' head right now but he forget its name. It's like "Whereever I roam" or something.

"Wereever I May Roam" was from the "Black" album. So was, "Don't Tread on Me", "Enter Sandman", "Unforgiven" (the original) and quite a many other songs.

Omg...
/me races out to Wal-Mart to try and find the Black album
DC, you just named four of Duddits all-time favorite songs. God... Duddits didn't even know it was on that album.

Then what are you waiting for?!?! Go get that album. :p

Don worry, Duddits will. He just remembered that most stores aren't open at 11:10 at night. Metallica will have to wait for the mourning.

My Wal-Mart closes at 9 or 10pm I believe :/. Of course, I shop there once in a blue moon, so it doesn't really affect me ^_^.

No way.... really? *Duddits considers going to Wal-Mart anyway; stops considering since he'd get an underage DUI* That a bunch of shit over here in Ohio. If you aren't 21, the legal drinking limit is .001. Duddits could get that by sniffing the fumes of a Jack Daniel's. The legal drinking limit for anyone that's over 21 is still noy .08. Man, that's like 3 or 4 shots of anything with more than a little kick to it. Duddits only had 1 shot of Vodka.
EH! Ohio is cool, but the laws are a peice of crap sometimes.

You could always stop drinking, and you wouldn't run into these problems ;).
Edit: Reminds me of a friend of mine that got in-school suspension for having half a beer before she went to a school dance though :P.

It's not like Duddits is going overloaded on it like two or three weeks ago. But...
