Oh man!
Alternative:
The Mars Volta - I think it's self titled. GET IT!
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Pixies - Surfer Rosa
A Perfect Circle - Their new one, forget the name.
Rockabilly:
Tiger Army - #1 (self titled) or #2
Ska:
Mad Caddies - Rock the Plank and Just One More
Skankin' Pickle - The Green Album
Dropkick Murphys - Black Out
Punk:
Dead Kennedys - FrankenChrist, Plastic Surgery Disasters
Jam Bands:
The Allman Brothers - hittin' the note
Government Mule - The Deepest End
That's all off the top of my head.

O.o I'm fucking spending 50 dollars :ninjal:
EDIT: Or use the "other" way. :D
Don't buy CD's...they'll just get GANKED OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN CAR!
Or maybe I'm just bitter.

:/, that's no fun. My friend had his (I'm pretty sure it was ~100 cds) cd-album stolen on a field trip recently :(. He's been rebuilding his collection since, but it's just not the same. That's why I never take my cd-album out of my house :P. Only a few discs are to leave at a time.

Duddits makes a frequent habit of burning multiple copies of his CD's. He only takes burnt CD's out of the house. It is a very good practice to take up.
I had over 40 legitimate ones stolen plus about 20 burned ones :(. I've decided to say, "screw it" to rebuilding my collection and am instead going to buy an iPod since I have over 2000 files on my computer. Luckily I ripped the majority of my CD's before they were stolen.

Ahh... ripping CD's are a very good habit to take up also. CD's to buy:
Sinner-- Drowning Pool
Metallica-- Metallica
Linkin Park-- Hybrid Theory
Limp Bizkit-- Three Dolla Bill Ya'll
Pink Floyd-- The Wall
Revis-- Revis
Static-X-- Wisconson Death Trip
Korn-- Follow the Leader

Bleh, I'd still rather support the band by buying the cds. It's also much nicer to have originals on hand. In this past year alone I've probably bought ~50 cds.

I'm not completely going to stop buying CD's. I'll still buy CD's of bands I really care about. (Coheed and Cambria, The Early November, Thursday and maybe a few others). But I'm not going to even try to rebuild my original collection.

Duddits is saving up money to go on a spending spree at this bad-ass store that's about to open. Awsome CD's for dirt cheap prices (think.. new CD's at $6-$8... you don't get much better than that).
You need to get Permission to Land by The Darkness. That is one of the best cds of last year. So awesome.
Byan adams.
it will satisfy all your music needs.
Get The best of me/On a day like today TODAY!
The best CD I've ever bought is either of the two Coheed and Cambria albums. You won't be dissappointed. They are both godly.

I've heard about Coheed and Cambria all over the internet, and my friends listen to them all the time, yet I have yet to hear a single song by them :tu:. Next time I'm downtown I'll pick one of their albums up.

Yes you need to! Both albums are really really good. You have to realize that they are part of a 4 part story so each song doesn't really make a ton of sense when looked at individually. Nobody really knows the story for sure yet, which is half the fun of listening to the CD's. It's probably helpful to head over to their messageboards and read a few theories that people have posted if you're confused.

AHH!! Have you ever seen their music video of 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love'? It made Duddits want to jump out of third story window with rope attach to neck and bedpost.
If you like hardcore metal, check out Chimaira or Bobaflex (this one's hard to find). They're are great... if you can understand what they're saying o.O

All I determined after watching that video is that I want a big purple monster thing to dry me off after I get out of the tub.
I wonder where I can find one...?

Music video sucks. The cd takes a couple listens through before you can decide if you like the band.

If Duddits decides to get it, he probably will just borrow and rip a friends. It is great to have a large circle of friends willing to exchange CD's. You will get a great many burnt CD's very quickly.

I have about 60% of what you guys mentioned. I'm also going for the new ones since the old ones are like not my taste :ninjal: Oh yeah, songs like those from The Lost Prophets are great.

You also might want to check out Thursday, Thrice, Brand New or Alkaline Trio. All of those are great bands as well.

Just had a listen to Delirium Trigger (recommended by one of my friends). Oi! That was excellent! I really enjoyed that, quite a bit. The guitar and the drums at the start :D, and just how everything is balanced. It's great!
The voice will likely take a bit of time to get used to, but I actually don't mind it. After listening to The Mars Volta, I've developed a bit of a taste for the crazy-high voices. And it's always fun to attempt to sing it :P.
Yar, going to have a listen to a few more songs, and I'll likely pick up an album next time I'm out and about.

I'm glad you liked it. You should check out Time Consumer. Probably my favorite song. Couple other good ones would be Velorium Camper II:Backend Of Forever, Everything Evil, A Favor House Atlantic and if you want to hear the poppier side, Blood Red Summer.

I think by 8 years of age a person can control ones bowel movements.
Hey CODEZERO, how is your sister with controlling her bowels?
I am just looking out for radlin, I mean what would he think going on the first date with your sister and she just pulls a "soccer mom" and drops the kids off, in his arms.

Woah guys. LEt get back on topic (even though what was said was quite entertaining).
Another cd I would reccomend is Godsmacks new acoustic cd (i might have already reccommended this but oh well). I haven't gotten this cd yet but the song that was released off of it is called Running Blind. It is really good.

Some people really don't dig Blood Red Summer. Usually that's the song people talk about skipping. I didn't like it at first either but it really grew on me. There isn't one song on either CD that I'd skip, honestly.
