"Entertainment Treasury"?

Why has the name been changed from The Game Room to the "Entertainment Treasury" ? :confused:

its a more accurate title. because there are threads there that are not games and apply to different forms of entertainment such as music.

The forum hasn't been renamed. It's an entirely new forum with a new purpose, as the description had you read it would tell you: "A treasure trove for movies, music, sports, thread-based & video gaming."

The game threads as well as entertainment things a la A&E at BF will be placed in the ET. I think it will help to declutter the member's lounge as well as assist new members in finding relevant topics to discuss.

Hmm I just checked it out... a whole bunch of game threads locked...
Is it not allowed to have threads like that in the Treasury anymore?

That's the purpose of them being closed.
To kill your neverending spam.
Some people might even be tmp banned beause of this in the next several days.

This decision was made today, to help unclutter the Entertainment Treasury and keep it dedicated to "movies, music, sports & video games" as the description says. Please also see my post here (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=8773). Thanks.

I read the announcement and welcome it..
But I was wondering whether or not simple game threads were justified being in the Entertainment Treasury.
True they were a LOT of them and they did tend to clutter up E.T.,but being able to participate in a game thread once in a while was fun. At least game threads shouldn't be completely done away with from the boards.

You know, I could say a thousand not nice things to you, but let me put it in the bluntest of ways. This goes for anyone else that is even thinking this same thing:

If post counts are all that matters, then your life goals have been acomplished. You have one, and it's high. Great for you. Go out and find a life. Wait a minute, since only post counts mattered to you, I guess that means you don't need one. Too bad.

Basically, that's summed up in a nutshell of a 5 page paper I *could* have written. I'll just leave it like that, seeing as how I'm tired, and about to go home for a weekend to hang with my parents over the holiday.

geno, i was just kidding. its just that the only thing that kept me here when i just arrived was the game threads. i dont rely on them that much anymore, because i spend most of my time RPing. but surely one or two game threads are alright. and what about the 'what are you listening to now?' thread? thats blocked too but its not a game thread. it asks what music we are enjoying now.
