I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but the WoW Collector's Edition has just been put up on the EBGames website here:

If you compare the price to the non-collector's edition (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/210351.asp), you'll notice the prices are the same! How about that for a deal ;).

Of course . . . we still don't even know for a fact that there will be a collector's edition :tu:.

So, who's going to go for the collector's edition? I'm still contemplating it. I mean, it's the same price, but I generally don't like buying things before they're announced :P.

The thing is Blizzard hasn't announced the CE yet, so they're just guessing at how much it will be. Likely it will have a month or three free along with a figure and some artwork, cinematic dvd, and in-game music cd.

I will likely get it, as I love the DVDs they include, but it will depend on the beta.

Price went up $20 recently, and it's likely to get a lot higher soon after beta starts :\. I just don't want to order it before beta . . .

The thing about it is that EB is just guessing. Blizzard hasn't put out any price info.

it better be cheaper than that. if they're charging us monthly then i don't see why they shouldn't reduce the price :/

Did Blizzard annouce anything? If not, then Ebgames just trying to hype people to get it.

That's actually exactly the case. They were hoping to grab some really quick cash by offering it at the same price that the normal version was at. After catching a good amount of people, they decided to up the price a bit, in hopes to get some more for it. People will see that the price has gone up, get all hyped and think, "If I don't get it now . .. it may go up another 20 dollars!"

Do this a few times, and you have suckers paying hundreds of USD :P.
