Wow, that's pretty newbish...
Open the object editor window, select units, then press the button on the near-top with a text tool tip saying "create new custom unit"

. . .

I pray to all holy God I never see one of your maps get released.

RTFM.

I hate posts in these forums that don't help. But. . . my. . . God.

Which is why I said RTFM.

Here, let me make it polite and remove the fucking:

Read The Manual

The editor is a hard to use tool. However, when you can't master the basics of Windows program operation (Buttons, menus, hotkeys), then you really have no hope of making a map with this software.

It aint so hard really. I first had the same problem after making maps on SC, but after all its very simple:

1. choose object editor (top of screen)

2.choose 'create custom unit' or something like that (top of screen, a helmet-symbol)

2. choose the creature you want to base your new creature (if you ant a hero, choose a one of the ready heroes from the list, one that should be samelike as the character you are willing to create, otherwise, choose a normal building, creature, creep, item etc.)(note, thet if you chose for example a ghoul (and you want to make it bigger, tougher and change its name for exmple) your new creature will be found from undead;custom

3. now you will get a huge list of different abilities the creature has. From there you can choose to change its look (even to a different model, for example if you want a ghoul hero, you will choose to make a dreadlord, and then change the model (art; model), size(art;scaling value), combat moves(combat;), name, colour, abilities, sounds, hitpoints, stats, description.. whatever!

4.now the model is ready and you will find from custom units section.

I hope this helped a bit!
Enjoyable editing moments!

OK, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh... I had no problems understanding it (maybe that's because my IQ tops 150, i shouldn't brag...) well, just look around and ALWAYS look at the tool tip text. Although the help file in the editor is pretty bad, u should still take a look at it... Cya ;)
