I need a new tactic!

Need new tactic to beat Dad.

My current tactic works, but is getting bland. Here it is: I build about three Command Centers with nuke silos, get a dropship or two, place ghosts at nearby cliffs and cloak, drop three nukes simutainiously, then barrage with siege tanks and clean house with marines and goliaths.

This works, but it's getting boring to repeat.

What maps do you play on?

If you really want to try something new, then perhaps you should try a different race. Then you can have some fun trying out entirely new attacks.

If you want to stick with Terran, and your nuke tactic gets you easy wins, then perhaps you could stop using nukes and trying other sneak attacks and drops instead.

I don't know, just some general ideas.

Also, just like Garrec asked, what maps do you play on?

Also, are you an aggresive player or a defensive player?

Try a little micronization for a while, using suicide squads of Marines on stims, or try the Tank pop.

They're fun to do, and they really mess with your opponent.

Suicide squads also gives you time to encircle your opponent so they can't go out of their held position.

Just chip away at their defenses after that.

I know that any minute now Cpt. Chronic is going to come in here and start patronizing me for telling you something that "Won't win you the game!" Damn straight. Your advice was horrible as usual. If you're going to suicide units it should be vultures (unless you're playing zerg and can successfully kill an expo hatchery before his army can react) because they're actually fast enough to get around defenses/units and into the mineral line. Even if he has defense at his minerals you can still take out a good number of workers by using shift + attack and right click the workers individually while his defenses fire at you.

Instead of getting overly defensive about your wrong strategies maybe you should listen to people that are better than you to try to improve your game.

btw, micronization is not a word; not even a starcraft or strategy term for that matter.

If you really need new tactics, try playing on battle.net against other human opponents and see what they do. Or if you are too lazy, watch good players' replays (though I would strongly recommend the first and not necessarily the latter). That would be all I could think of.
