In that case, it'd probably be best if you posted replays of your shuttle drops and we suggest ways to make them more effective. :)

Pretty much yeah. I don't really use Protoss that often, so I have nothing to suggest.
Also, be more specific. What kind of drop are you talking about? Storm raid drop, Flank drop, doom drop, Arbiter recalling shuttles containing units doom drop (yes I've done it before to torment a friend), maynard drop, Dark Swarm/DT/Zlot Drop Of Doom(TM), or what?

You could also use disruption web to help out if all you can find is an area surrounded by photon cannons. And make sure your shuttle speed is upgraded before trying anything.

if they surround there base in cannons there most likly a noob and won't expo so u don't have to do a drop just take the map and let him kill his self when he runs out of money

I think he meant more like 2-4 cannons, unlike the situation you're discribing which would give teh n00bie about 15 cannons, more or less. =/

I almost never get shuttle speed.

Yeah, I meant only three or four. No self-respecting player would waste that much money on cannons. I remember once when I was a noob, I did all turrets, and I was creamed by only 3 tanks and 5 BC's. Last time I did that. Only a couple for defense, just until my dragoons get there.

I played a game yesterday where my opponent vulture rushed me (which didn't work cause I had my ramp blocked) and I proceeded to drop 1 reaver and 1 goon that killed every single unit of his without losing a single unit of my own. We were in a tournament that was best of 5, but he quit after that game even though he was talking mad shit before we started. Quite enjoyable to beat someone that bad after he claimed that he owns me.

I always love beating trash-talkers, just to shut them up. You don't need to say anything yourself, just sit back content that you've metaphorically stuck it up them.
Anyway, the only time you should drop is when the opportunity really presents itself... It's very rare for me to start a game with the initial intention of dropping.

Really good players make extremely good use of drops. I don't really understand how they do it or how other really good players defend against it. It's just so much to do with timing and noticing things that can't really be taught, as well as being fast enough to excute them properly. Perhaps if fazant or hayley is around, they can explain. :P

i hate it when zeals + goons storm my mine+tank+turret expansion, and they drop zeals on my tanks......very annoying T.T

For one thing if you have onli a few shuttles, not like one of them game ending drops but a harassing drop.... keep control of them and systematically drop specific units and pop them back in for most damage eg reavers and temps... also if you have more shuttles spread them out in an area that is relatively safe from the enemy but not too far and form some sort of pattern so that ur units drop in an area pattern instead of all in one spot. take a look @ nadas drops even though he is terran player

yes...nada drops on the highland, then on the low, then high, low, high....etc. i dunno how he manages to do that while controlling builds and units at the same time.

lol.. I don't see why you can't do it. You have 275apm. Use your clicks instead of spamming like a retard.

If you are playing a PvT and the enemy is preventing your drops with seige tanks in seige mode, drop a single probe at a time on top of a tank, and watch the tank get hit with splash from surrounding tanks. A reliable suicide...

thats easily stopped, if T sees a shuttle comming and it cant be destroyed u manually tell ur tanx to atk something else so that they dun splash your own, your support forces such as rines and vults or w/e will kill it. this is assuming you have ur tanx hotkeyed, difficulty magnified by say 10 without hotkeys

IceFlare, I'm pretty sure he was somewhat joking. Of course if you're a total idiot, it might work.

ps. 275apm is not the definition for a good micro...lol a bunch of rallys and moves can get u anywhere from 180 - 300
