I used to RP actively, but I gave that up for other interests (theatre! tap dance! skateboarding!) Interesting stuff, but all very time consuming (and sometimes even painful.) Now I'm just hanging around, poking at stuff and trying new things. I guess I'm a jack-of-all-trades; I'm vaguely acquainted with most games, and what I don't know I'm willing to learn. But you can't expect me to be too concentrated :ninjar: Especially under the influence of sugar!

I believe that it is a good idea to take computers and games away from people who get such a low grade. This allows them to have more time to study and to do things outside. Still, you should be able to get on the computer for school. I think it should be lowered to 4 months, but w/e.

Luckily, school is very easy for me, so there is no worrying about any low grades. :) So, I might be a bit biased, but oh well.

I didn't know people still used this thread...I guess when it's stickied it's harder to tell when the last post was made.

Well as long as I know people are listening I'll tell my story..

I was gone for I'm not sure how long because my DSL connection stopped working. All of a sudden. Sometimes it is problematic, for example when the phone rings the connection goes away. Can you beleive that? THE FUCKING PHONE RINGS and I'm playing Madden football online against someone, and I take the loss because my connection blows. This happens on more than one occasion. Well anyways that's not why the internet stopped working this time. It just stopped all together, and didn't come back. Well we called the guys up at Verzion and they looked us up and said, "Holy shit you guys are 15 kabillion yards away from the nearest DSL whatzitdo, I can't believe anyone ever let you sign up for DSL your connection is so lousy. So finally we got cable back, which we used to have but then got rid of for some reason.

Your first problem sounded like the filters stopped working. If that happens, then it will stop. I don't know about the second one.

IRC is more of a permanent chatroom though. I mean, you set one of those up and it'd be gone in a few days. With IRC you get chanserv and can make bots and such to accomodate the people in the channel.

I'm sure you could get it to work with a few more tries ^_^. Do you have a firewall up perhaps? Have you tried EnterTheGame? It's quite a bit more stable than DevCore so it may work for you.

well im back from CYTAG, (turns out it was actually called OPPTAG, in 2 seperate class groups, EXPLORATIONS! and CYTAG< which have different rules/regulations, etc.

I was in EXPLORATIONS!.

im too tired to explain anything in great detail right now, so ill just tell a few amusing happenings that happened.

1.
Location: hallway, waiting for RAs to finish settting the stuff up downstairs so the dance can start.
time: last day, mid evening.
what happened. Ok, so there was this guy called Nelson, and he always acts insanely crazy and does crazy stuff. So, BJ (18 yr old guy whos a 3 year veteran at OPPTAG here) had bought dry ice for the dance, (and for cooling drinks) and somehow, Nelson got a hold of some. So while wandering around in the hall, i saw Nelson running around with an empty coke bottle filled with dry ice and hot water, and sealed. about five times he drops it, runs off and takes cover, and yells "its gonna explode!". after no succes, he graps the bottle and walks around the hall. A few minutse later, I hear a deafening bang, and then see Nelson run into his room, with blood trickling down the palm of his hand. turns out he was ok.

2.
Location: spinney house den, eating last breakfast.

Ok, so theres this guy Matt there, who is a commuter, and a girl named Dagny, who is a resident, and Matt's g/f. Matt walks into the room for breakfast.

random guy: dude Matt, dagny missed you last night, she was all whiney and crying. you should go see her. She'll like rape you or something.

3.
Location: sub hall in the dorms, where my room is.
Time: after the dance, about midnight. I walk intom the small little sub-hallway where my room is, to find that it has been TPed. I see what appears to be a balloon on the floor. another guy walks in and sees it, then picks up the "balloon" and starts poking it.

"OMG, THATS NOT A BALLON!" he immediately drops it. can you guess what it was? ill give you a cookie if you can.

I'm back!

Just got back from Mexico last night, had a great time. We (my youth group of 6 kids + 3 adults), with the help of another church, poured a concrete parking lot for a church down there. Lots of hard work, but I had a lot of fun. Best part of the trip (usually the best part of any trip :p) was the food. We has some of the ladies from their church down there cook food for us for every meal everyday. Homemade Mexican food is REALLY good. Chile on everything, I loved it. Now I'm really tired, but I'll live.

Well as long as I know people are listening I'll tell my story..

I was gone for I'm not sure how long because my DSL connection stopped working. All of a sudden. Sometimes it is problematic, for example when the phone rings the connection goes away. Can you beleive that? THE FUCKING PHONE RINGS and I'm playing Madden football online against someone, and I take the loss because my connection blows. This happens on more than one occasion. Well anyways that's not why the internet stopped working this time. It just stopped all together, and didn't come back. Well we called the guys up at Verzion and they looked us up and said, "Holy shit you guys are 15 kabillion yards away from the nearest DSL whatzitdo, I can't believe anyone ever let you sign up for DSL your connection is so lousy. So finally we got cable back, which we used to have but then got rid of for some reason.LOL did the dsl people really say that EXACTLY??? they should be fired

Yah, somtimes my DSL gets effected when somebodys useing the phone, it's more noticeable when i'm playing Warcraft 3 or Starcraft. But the strange thing is... my DSL runs on a different phone line...

Well I haven't been here for too long but heres what advice I'll give to any new commers.

As noted above, watch out for Fenguin, A.J. and Carnage. ( they are all good people though)

The mods are not bad people, please do not give them a hard time they are really just looking out for everyones best interest.

PC is the coolest girl in the world.

Watch out for getting into fights with Bluemicrobyte... he will just dump cheese on you.

Shwitzer is the only person who should do movie reviews.

Never make fun of any type of marching band... you will have a ton of band members from across North America and even in Europe come after you, like OboeGuru.

Even if you think your special because you can complete a rubix cube, watch TheBB do it

If you need any technical help, ask, everyone will give advice but Exedore is the best.

Werewolf91 is a good person to have on your team during a battle for strawberries.

ZeroDarkStar is one of the few people to go to if you want a really really really good signature... he made mine :)

Anyone in a Triumvirate is a good person. Like TNE and Mtank. Tons of people are in them. ( Don't ask me what they are, I've not figured it out)

Hammocksleeper is good for giving away useless Karma... he gave me my first peice of useless Karma.

Join IRC, you not only get to play wicked cool trivia but get to talk to cool kids like Nahotnoj, Gediminas, Seal, WhiteKnight, Radlin, Traken, Modred, Zeltaris, King_Templar, GrassDragon and tons and tons of others. ( I am ridiculously sorry If I left anyone out)

Other than that, just post a lot and don't make stupid remarks about things. Beware the content you put in the Intellectual Roundtable, it should stay somewhat serious.

So yeah thats all I can think of. Everything is wonderful here. Enjoy
