Hey! Our musical is finally here. Many of you have probably heard about it, and how much work we have done on it, and today is the big day! My 8th drama experience in High School, and my last one...

I started in Virgil's wedding as a crotchety grandpa...Meet me in St. Louis, I was a chorus person,

Sophomore year, It was Black Hearts and Bearded Ladies, where I landed one of my best roles, I played a married tramp, with no money. It was hilarious near the end, because my friend, Sarah, and I were married (Which wouldn't be the last time we were on stage... o.O), and near the end, I lean over and put my arms around her, and say 'We are going to have a baby!' at one point, but I leaned over and kind of... Well... GRABBED the wrong thing... ;) That was hilarious in the fact that NOONE caught it, and noone filmed it, so it's kind of between me and Sarah (Although we have told everyone now, after about two and a half years... o.O), then after BH and BL, we did Cinderella, where a lot of seniors decided to go out for... I got pushed into the Chef's role, due to seniors getting better parts... No worries, as most of them had done drama their freshman year, but decided to drop out because of studies.

Anyways, Junior year came, and the play was Football Theatre! It was about a cast of football players trying to put on a show, so they could get funding to keep their stadium standing, else it would be tore down. They eventually scrambled together, and did Frankenstein, with a twist... The funniest part, was that they teamed up with Female football players, and that in real life the Females would > the males... And the Females weren't in any football in real life... Two of them that I remember were actually in cheerleading! Anyways, they put on a show, and I played the stage manager in the play itself, directing the loons around! The best part... The name of the SM was LARRY! ^.^ Can't forget my name in THAT show ;) Following that, though, we did 'Gone with the Breeze' Where I was an assistant to 'Peggy Tempest' who was an upcoming star. I was her agent, whom she threw around a bit... Let's just say I fell down about 3 or 4 times each night... o.O

Finally! Senior year! I landed the lead in the play, 'Is there a Doctor in the House?' About a resident nurse's book that was coming up! She gets murdered, and so the hospital goes nuts, with 'Who's next?' I am brought in to investigate... And I eventually get hit (Really hard) upside the head with a BEDPAN! Wewt! Another thing to put on resume's! 'Experience with bedpan combat.' o.O And finally, our musical, 'You're a Good Man Charlie Brown!' It seems not too long ago I was in freshman year, so it's nice to look back and say 'Wow, it went so fast, but it was worth it. I really wish everyone here could come and see it, but I know you can't, so once attatchments are enabled, I might put up some pictuers of it, so you can see what we have been doing for so long... Remember, if you think you can, you can, even if you are told you can't. Go big or not at all. That's how I worked it throughtout these musicals. Today and tomorrow will be my last days in the musical, and then it's done. All of it finally done.

I hope we can do well tonight, and I hope it was really fully worth it, which really, it was. Take care all. (Note: Posting will be hindered...)

P.S. Don't EVER say 'Good luck' in this thread, because it's bad luck... I can say it, since I'm in the show, but if you wish good fortune of any sort, use 'Break a Leg' or something of that acting nature... GL will ruin something in the show for every time it's said. Trust me, it's true... o.O

Yar!

My highschool musical (well, it's an operetta) isn't for another 3 months. We're doing the Pirates of Penzance, and I achieved one of the main lead roles, "The Pirate King". I get to sing all these great opera-style songs, so it's so much fun. And the play itself is a Gilbert and Sullivan, and they're always tons of fun.

Anyway, have fun tonight eh? Don't mess up your lines! Hahaha :P. Just kidding, break a leg.

Damn I remember way back in elementary. We had a school Chinese Ochestra called "Purple Bamboo". I remember the news saying the school couldn't fund it anymore. Sad =(

Probably the only Elementary Chinese Ochestra in the U.S. Oakland is losing their funding to these charter schoolers =(
