View Full Version : The Patriots champs again?
Well, Superbowl is almost over, around 2 minutes left and the Pats are dominating yet again.
Looks like they will earn the title of "dynasty."
Comments on the game, the teams, or the dynasty known as the Patriots?
New Information: The Eagles just closed the gap to three points, and a minute and a half remains in the game. Pats get the ball. Miracles can happen I suppose.

We'll see... :concern:
Edit: Pat's have the ball.
Great contest. Too bad Philly couldn't hang on to the lead. The Pats are a machine. GG.

It seemed as if the Eagles wasted too much time at the ending... They seemed to be taking all the time in the world when they only had <4:00 left.
It was a good game though.

Eagles lost for 2 reasons.
1. no running game what-so-ever. you throw the ball 50 times you will most likely lose
2. turnovers, my god McNabb made some god awful throws and there time mangement was not so good
but congrats to the pats, now die

Time management was atrocious. I can't believe the Eagles could give up like that after all they've been through. But then again, McNabb hasn't had the opportunity to test his two-minute drill skills all season.
I was rooting for the Eagles, but I have to admit it makes me happy that we have a team that can be considered "dynasty." The dynasty days of yore seem to be over, what with the salary cap and all.

Mmmm...dynasty. :)
I remember you (!!!!)
I remember you (!!!!)

Anyways, I wonder if the Pats will experience any kind of extended drought after this, like the Cowboys and other dyanasties?

I wouldn't call the patriots a dynasty yet. To be a dynasty a team has to be very good consistently for a long period of time. Dynasties of the past like the Cowboys and the Steelers were good before and after their championships. The Patriots were nothing before they beat the Rams, and they missed the playoffs the year they didn't win the superbowl, that doesn't count as a dynstasy in my book.... yet.

Woot! go patriots. All the way.
Eagles suck, you f'ing viking killers
But seriously... the Patriots deserve the spotlight. I'm hoping for a hat-trick (thrice in a row, although... they kinda already got one... but there was a sb in between... <_<) ^_^

Actually, I think once a team wins atleast three superbowls, they're automatically a dynasty.

So, you have finally decided to join us after all, Aya. Well, welcome to the lighter side of BF, but don't let the cute scenery for you for you are actually in Hell. :)
heh, it was closer than I thought it would be, I was rooting for the eagles but twas a good game even though we lost
although I dont follow football, it was an excuse to stay up till 4 AM drinking beer eating pizza, shouting abuse at a 42 inch tv and wearing a t-shirt with an abusive slogan on it.

Three super bowls in the time that they did it in, then yes.
The only other team to do what the Pats have done is the Cowboys of 90's.
And the Pats are only going to be getting better. Haha, I mean, seriously. This is too easy.

Why did the Eagels have to loose. I had 150 bucks placed on that game. Not that much to some people, but its a lot to me!

Moral of the story: If the Pats are in a superbowl, bet on them. They've won every one that they've gone to, I believe, or atleast most.

Yes, I can see that, but you usually spent most of that time lurking in the shadows or post a post or two here and there. ;)

Your first mistake was betting on the Eagles, since Pats usually own. XP

Actually, Sambo was starting up crap with me and I had a feeling that the admin might take the SC forums away (hell, they took tactics away) and so, I was planning on immigrating here.

He was probably lying about the bet. Nobody picks against the Pats.
Besides the Eagles covered the seven points anyways.
nah, think about it - if the eagles had won he would have picked up a nice packet - betting on the pats would not be profitable
more profitable than the squit all he got betting on the eagles but......
