I am looking for 1-2 people who are willing to devote their time to moderating a new forum. I won't get into details about members and please join etc. because I think that would be breaking the rules about advertising. If you'd like the job PM me or post here what you would do if you were to become a moderator. The forums in question aren't specifically large, but they are still growing. Also just so any of you interested know, it doesn't have a link on a main site yet so the odds of you hearing about it are very slim.
Disclaimer: This is not advertising about forums or a site, it is merely asking if anyone would be interested in becoming a moderator.
Crosses fingers hoping thread won't be closed :shiftyr:
Yes I want to moderate a forum I have never visited, with a topic I don't know what is, and with people I don't know who are. -_-
No, really, I don't want to moderate anything, but for those who do, maybe you want to provide more details?

o_O? There's actually a bit of reasoning behind us preventing 'advertising'. This may not look like advertising to you, but it is in fact violating one of the key principles behind the rule.
If we allow people to 'hire others' off of our forums, we're eventually going to lose members and traffic in the grand scheme of things. This does not benefit our community in any way - in fact, it does quite the opposite. As much as I relate with your cause (I realize how difficult it can be to start a site), it is my obligation to close this thread.
However, having been a crucial member in the creation of a few communities in the past, I can give you a few pointers. It's not completely wise to hire random people onto your site. The best way to get staff on your site is to become acquainted with people that share similar interests with you and then invite them personally to assist you. Chances are, if you know the people well enough, they'll be more than happy to help out. That way you're working with people you know you like and you know you can trust :).
Best of luck!
