Does anyone know how hard it can be to stare at (not really) a newly released dvd for 7 hours? I put them out at about 5 after midnight on Tuesday morning (Nightshifter here! Wee) and I stare at them and end up buying one in the morning ><
Oh btw, buy new releases sooner rather then later -- at Walmart they are 14.87 as opposed to Target or Bestbuy who has them for like 15.99 or 14.99 or whatever. After a few days everyone adjusts the price back up to about $20.
So anyways, you know those nifty DVD New Release Displays you see up front at your local Walmart or Target or wherever they have those thingys? I goto put some out along with the normal dvds back in electronics.
First: People are idiots.
The displays come in half-pallets (a pallet being one of those wooden flattish things you see behind stores -- merchandise comes in/moves around in bulk on those things, so think of one, just cut in half ><).
So I goto put 2 up front -- they are back to back, no big deal right? Youd think someone would have put them back to back when they lined them up. Nope. After I opened them up/took the carboard off, I had to move one around... Then go back and grab the other one (Friday Night Lights) and set it up.
So it was kinda fun anyways. I mean pulling these giant ass things behind you can be oddly enjoyable especially when theres no one else in sight xD
A couple of weeks ago when Iput out Harold and Kumar (just normal dvds in electronics) at about 10 or 15 after midnight 3 guys came in, and one almost had an orgasm becuase I handed him Harold and Kumar out of the box (ie: one of the first to go up o.O). THat was creepy. I mean I can deal fine with the groups of crazed Napoleon Dynamite fan-girls who screamed at me while I handed them the dvd, but cmon -- guys? O_o;;
Oh well. And let me stress something -- if you want to find a DVD or a particular cd, dont come to Walmart. We dont keep a running list of DVDs and/or CDs and thier locations/backroom stock/other stores stock on them. Look for them yourself, or goto Best Buy who has a DVD Section twice as big as the entire Electronics dept.

So how is everyone? Neo finally got a PS2 and a flat screen tv to go along with it. Its awesome. This nifty little thing is so tiny, im afraid its just gonna float away! ><
We are still watching the Lion King at work. Gosh am I sick of it. I can mouth the words/songs at any point in the movie, and customers give me strange looks when I start singing under my breath (why the hell your in electronics at 3:30 in the morning on a monday and think IM strange)
