View Full Version : Guess what this is!

Guess what this is! It may require some research, so don't just yell out answers. The first person to get it wins a cookie!

edit: for those interpreted the question incorectly, it is: What is the hand holding?

http://home.earthlink.net/~bluemicrobyte/negative.JPG

NOTE: I acknowledge the fact that the colors are inverted - they are that way for a reason! I discourage you from un-inverting the colors as that may actually make this harder for you. Trust me it will.

A wooden knob, by the way you could've atleast done something a little more complicated than just inverted the colors.

BMB's hint was to "not invert the colors", that gave it away. I did the switch-er-oo in photoshop in a matter of seconds. Then, I knew it was wood, and my guess has been repeated before I got a chance to post

The suggestion that it is a pestle crossed my mind, but after inverting the colors, I wondered why one would make one out of wood. Ones used in pharmacies are made of ceramic.

You don't even have to invert it to normal to see it's clearly a wooden object, seemingly a pestle, due to it's smaller and larger round faces, as well as the fashion of how it is being held.

Pestles have been around much longer than our modern pharmacies. They've been in use for both medical and culinary purposes for several centuries, often made of either wood or stone.

FOOLS!

I inverted the colors and said not to change them back because knowing that the item is wood only makes it harder to figure out what it really is, because the item is not normally made of wood.
It is NOT a pestle, though that is a good guess.
This wooden replica is, however, very accurate in shape and size (hence the hand to show you the size). And a pestle is not that shape or size.
Note that I said you may have to do some research before you get it right... (I wonder if anyone can figure out what I'm hinting here)
edit: ok so the shape isnt EXTREMELY accurate, the top is a bit bigger than it should be.
