Seriously, is there anybody on Battle.net that doesn't rush anymore? I was playing the other day with a friend on BGH and we were just playing for fun looking to play a good game that lasted over a half hour or something to just waste some time. Anyways, pretty much every game we played we got rushed.. it was fuckin' rediculous (sp?). We don't even see that as a strategy.

Honestly, I feel that rushing is just a way to get out of a game fast and easy and take the win. And I should mention, everytime we got rushed.. it was usually more then 1 guy attacking at that time. It was usually their whole team. What are your feelings?

P.S. -- Do not say anything about strategy on BGH, it being a money map, or me being a noob for not being able to fend off a rush. because I do not fucking care and that wasn't what the question was. Note: we were just playing for fun and to waste some time.

Seriously, sometimes I like to win really fast, like most people, thats why they rush in teams, to take u out nice and quick. And what is a stragity? You you plan a stragity to win? or make the game last over 2 hours long? To me rushing is a stragity, in every map. But o well, diffreant people believe in diffreant things.

Ummm...woulden't the concept of rushing be based on the army you play, your opponents and what map you are playing on?

I mean, some maps you can't rush on (Island maps) I don't think I ever rushed...I just got rushed alot and I had to make a very rushed defense.

In 1v1 games, good players will often rush if they see an opportunity. If the rush is repelled it's of no consenquence, but if it cripples the enemy it's plain old GGNORE.

Unfortunately, team games (and some 1v1 games) on battle.net have got to the stage where all players know how to do is rush. I've seen games where both players on a team have gone Zerg and 4-pooled. I personally find this style of winning extremely boring and hallow.

Ironically enough, I've managed to repell duel (even tri) rushes long enough that my allies have just wiped out the newbie's undefended, underfunded bases. Don't ask me why, but I tend to find that I'm always the one who gets gang-rushed in team games.

But yeah... players whose entire gamestyle is an all-or-nothing rush just plain suck. Any newbie can do a rush, but they're too newbie to realise that.

I probably do some form of rush about half the games I play. The way I look it at is that if you can't stop my rush, then you wouldn't be able to beat me anyway, and it's not worth wasting another 10-15 minutes killing you. I don't do cheese rushes where it's all or nothing. I always have something to fall back on if it fails.
