Use Map ettings...

Alrite, i'm really new with this stuff so bare with me. I made a map, and added some units nad buildings, now when i went to run int in SC and i choose map settings, theres only one player, which is me. How do i make it so there are computer players there too? Please help.

Make sure you add Player Locations for every player that you want to participate, this includes computers. Next, go to Settings and make sure the players you want to be computers are set to COMPUTER. There are 3 options, Human, Neutral, and Computer. Pick the ones you want.

Lastly, make sure the comptuers are in their own force. You cannot have a Human player and a Computer player in the same Force.

What type of map is yours going to be?

ok, now i have a small problem. i got it to work on user map settings, but now my oponents don't move, they just sit there, what do i do to make them function?

Use the trigger 'Run AI script at location'. Since you're new, I doubt you know about this. To learn, just open up maps and read the SE help file.

hrm.. ok, i added the AI script thingy, and they other teams just moev around but they don't build, and if they build they only build a little tiny bit, like zerg will make a spawning pool, what should i do now?

There are multiple AI Scripts you can use...but I will give you tips -

1) Make sure the location you are running the AI Script is big enough for computer to build in, and make sure it covers resources.

2) There are INSANE AI scripts for every race, you can choose from a list when using your editor. INSANE AI Scripts basically mean the computer will build everything it can and research everything it can. You can even pick agressive offense or defense from the list. You may want to download the most used editor in SC Map making - Starcraft Xtra-Editor also known as SC-XE. Go to Google.com and make a search for it to get it.

Some AI Scripts only tell them to build a few buildings and that's it. You have to pick the right Script. Regular mad editor doesn't come with a lot, get SC-XE editor for a huge list of AI Scripts.

With the exception of Insane and Custom, all scripts require you to provide them their buildings. Or I could be wrong.
