ei guys help me on my problem help needed ^_^

elow everyone i hope someone could help me i have a wierd problem, let me explain.. im on shared internet access lan network in my workplace but i can surf the internet open sites, download programs en stuff but i cant connect to mirc it always says unable to resolve server and even yahoo messenger??? which i can connect wid ease a few months ago, i think they blocked the ip address so i just configured my internet access to avoid the block but now came the problem i can still suf the net and download things en stuff but i cant connect to mirc or YM or play ragnarok online cant figure it out huhuhu ^_^ how do i fix dis, advice pls.. hope to hear from u guys

Maybe port issues? Same thing happens to me at the library; you can surf the net but not use AIM or other IM apps or IRC, email etc.

They probably don't want you doing this while you are at work.

Yeah, I agree with GrassDragon, port issues. Although I don't think there's too much you can do to get around it. huhuhu

ok tnx, yah maybe its the port issues. but i can still open my email and surf the net and download, its only drawback is i cant chat and play online. tnx guys for the reply meery xmas
