This can't be happening... When I went to stf.campaigncreations.org it told me this:
This site is defaced!!!

NeverEverNoSanity WebWorm generation 13.

I cant believe this... For those of you who didnt know what stf was, it was a project that would take starcraft into a game that was made like half life (2?). It was going to be the coolest thing ever, but WHAM! it gets defaced. For the last hour i have been wondering "is this a joke, or is it real" Could it be a permanent downtime, or temporary? Either way, I cannot believe my eyes...

I wonder if that worm is the same worm that hit SC.org... could we have some sort of internet mass murderer of SC sites?

According to Schwitzer in post http://www.warboards.org/showpost.php?p=140887&postcount=18 SC.org was hit with a worm that said "This site has been defiled!"

Defaced... defiled... it was something along those lines. Sounds similar to the worm that hit us, so it could've been the same one, or a varient of it.

Did anyone manage to get the STF mod before it went down? I couldn't use the mod before because I didn't have the earlier patches!

Download here (http://tc.brutkrieg.de/tc/tc_dl.php?dl=6&id=6&back=/tc/tc_dl.php)
Well, just run the install file and do what it says...
It's the version that STF was at before it was killed: 2.42
I'm still in grief from its killing. I cant believe this. Is anyone else going to pick up where they left off? ahhhhhhhhh, this isnt happening, it really isnt....!... *passes out*

I'm wondering, should I post at all starcraft sites warning them about this?

Provided you have nothing better to do (at the present time)... just go ahead.

Well, the way I see it is, Campaign Creations are also hosted by ReconGamer. That must mean stf.campaigncreations.org would have pointed to the same server as StarCraft.org, or at least one which was close enough so it could've caught the same worm. So, the reason that two StarCraft sites have been hit by the worm is because we share a common host who gives good deals to StarCraft sites, not because of the fact that the sites are StarCraft sites.

So, in short, no, it wouldn't help them. But it was a good thought with good intentions. Keep that up and you can be the president one day.

Ahh, BUT someone told me that it is a worm that is randomly affecting sites which use PHP. so every single forum in the world could be endangered! :o

Wow... this really sucks.. STF was one of my favorite mods, and it never even got close to finishing, but don't they still have the files and stuff? Can't they just post the mod at CampaignCreations like what they did with the Zeji Conversion or whatever?

I only hope so... If that STF mod you spoke of is nearly as intriguing as the Zeji & Mekani conversion, I'll surely take a peek at it! ;)

Not all the php forums are affected. Only certain versions of php contain this leak. Phpbb and phpgb are examples.

You know, the old StarCraft.org used ASP, so if it's only PHP programs that are at risk, then you must be talking about a different worm.

Can't the makers of stf rebuild and rebound? like starcraft.org?

It depends on the level of intrusion. If the saved database was swipped, like it happened to SEN (http://www.staredit.net/index.php) a while ago... we're screwed to get the intel that was inside the site, the time it happened.
If it happened like with SC.org (http://www.starcraft.org/) where, from what I've seen, the site had the saved database somewhat secure from snatching the files within, they'll put it back up if they intend to. ;)
