Basically I was wondering what will make a mod not work on Battle.net... or if that is not the problem .... what can I do to make it work on Battle.net. I'm trying to make a small mod for my friends and me to make the game more interesting but whenever we start it boots us all off.

yes even over a lan connection it wont work

Did you copy all the needed files from the original SC mpqs? I don't remember which ones are all needed... I'm sure someone else does though ^_^.

No all I have are units.dat, weapons.dat, and upgrades.dat

is it a memgraft mod? does it add new units or whatever? or does it just change stats?

its a hunch, but try making the melee map into a 'Use Map Settings' game. (dont know to to spell)
My *theory* is that in melee games, b.net know thats something has changed and makes it into some error, while Use Map Settings, let units be edited like the Wepons and stuff, like in StarEdite.
It probolloy wont work, but u can try.

Odlly enough it works now for some reason lol... didnt cahnge a thing either. Just recompiled it.

No all I have are units.dat, weapons.dat, and upgrades.dat You need the appropriate files for bnet to run properly.

If you want to melee online with a mod, simply copy the entire patch_rt.mpq, manually put your edited files in, and rename the .mpq to w/e your .exe uses.
