Recently I've been having some really gay things happen to me while playing on bnet. For one, my computer randomly crashes SC. Other times my computer just freezes while I'm in the game. This is really beginning to piss me off. Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

No, but the sound sometimes goes out when I'm playing laggy games like I cant hear my units when I click them

Is it XP?
I had that happen to me in XP. Then I just told it to run in 640x480. That fixed it. I know it runs in that resolution automatically, but I was out of ideas.

yeah for me after I quit out of starcraft right before it comes to my main screen(the regular backround) the computer freezes and I have to alt control and delete to get out.
It works fine for me... Windows XP Home edition, with Norton Anti-Virus running protection in background. I run Cable modem and about 47-63 ping online (As stated by Stealthbot 2.4), and I have disconnected once, which was my fault, because I right clicked and hit 'close' on the menu while SC was minimized. Other than that, nothing wrong... o.O Are you sure it's not a map you are playing, or does it randomly happen in chat rooms and the like?

It only crashes SC when I'm in a map and it only freezes when I'm dling. It's really wierd. I'm running Win 98, 288k ram, and 15gigs of free hard drive space.

SC crashes for me when i'm in a join room (that place before you start playing the map). It's really wierd because it also screws up my dvd and cd drives for some reason, anybody else have that problem?. This only started hapening when I got my new comp with XP.
