Well, space and bandwidth do cost money. Instead of complaining, make use of what you can (as you obviously have). My sig only uses about a hundred colors in order to make it less than 25K.

Would you guys be happier if I moved it from 19.5 to 20kb? Heh.... it's not going to get any bigger than that. You can get pretty good JPEG quality out of 20kb for a 125x125 image. And since your avatar gets hosted from our server, I'd rather not pay for more bandwidth :rolleyes:

For the location, I like them right below the name/info, because the Avatar is just another way to recognize the poster... but do you guys think this is a problem? If you really can't stand it then let me know.

It's done when you're exporting your images in Photoshop.

Or use an image that doesn't have a particularly high color diversity. Those are a bitch to compress. That's one reason why my images are red-based, to compress easily. Another being, that's the main color of my [forthcoming] website. :D
