Can only get an AGP slot with a new... well computer for you.

You cant just add one.

Just look for a semi-good PCI card and you should be fine.

Ed are you Filipino?

Mobos cost like $110-200 or something, right? It's not worth it if you just want a new one for an AGP card. PCI is going to be just fine. The difference is unnoticable.

yes, I am full Filipino. i look white because iam never outside.
i've heard pci video cards wont get any better, im thinking about the future when game will be demand better graphic cards. if thats true i would have wasted $80 for a video card that would be useless in the future and beleve me money is really short in my familly.

ed, I have made a huge, huge, ongoing video card thread. It's really repetitive, but it might help you. Just look for my shopping for video card - need advice thread in this same forum.

Ed your right that PCI are a fadeing trend. AGP is the future and is faster then PCI. So if your are looking to the future AGP is the way to go. I have also heard of some new format...I forget what it is though whether is was PCI2 or Serial2 or something. There taking an old format and revamping it to be newest, fastest format.

Replace PCI with AGP and AGP with PCI Express. If you want to have the latest cutting edge equipment, go for it now (but it will cost a bunch). I suggest waiting awhile (maybe as long as a year) until PCI Express motherboard prices fall and it is more reasonable to get a whole new computer. You should probably buy a PCI card as an interim solution for now.
