What was with the goofy/random darker-grey box and gradient to the left of it in the avy spot? Is/was something going to go there?

Fixded.
Btw the grey box was only caused by the background image not reloading.

Damn cache... oh well, I'll just convince myself that it's fixed and wait for our server cache to clear itself; I can live with that :)
